@HR2playz I didn't say anything about being special, so just calm down. I don't know what you are talking about. A channel like this should make sure the cars are going to race with equal chances, which wasn't the case here. Simple is this.
It would loose either way. Tesla is heavy and has CRAP brakes. And if you think it will compete with lighter cars from prestigious brands like Porsche and Lamborghini with carbon ceramic brakes you are delusional.

I like that everyone got the chance to give the stats as opposed to Matt just doing it! It's like a fun guessing game as to whether or not they can get them right haha
The winner is not the Tesla because of shit quality, ugly design and ridiculous steering wheel. 1000HP alone does not bring any emotions. - It’s like sex with a rubber doll: always willing but no real fun!
I was wondering why the Tesla was SOOOOO slow to 60 mph (over 3 seconds rather than 2.5 seconds) until I read they tested it with WINTER tires???????? WTF?
It was just a bit of a let down because instead of winning the 1/4 by 2 seconds, like it would on summer tires(which my MXP has), it only won by 1.4 seconds. All seasons reduce the 0-60 time over summer tires from 2.5 seconds to 2.8 seconds. Also note that even though Tesla claims 2.5 seconds with 1 foot rollout, with summer tires, folks are getting 2.5 seconds with no rollout and 2.3 seconds with the 1 foot rollout subtracted. The original specs must have been with all seasons but here in the US, they shipped with summer tires for the first 6 months.

@@DuckHunterGaming From what I calculated it should be 2 - 2.4 car lengths maximum (cosidering Model X is 5 meters long). So I'd propose we could agree that half of the distance to Mercedes is caused by tyres and the other half by poorly designed brakes. You can take a look at any brake tests that includes Tesla cars that they have a serious problem stopping. What cannot be argued by "winter tyres" argument is the scary braking behaviour both seen on the camera at 16:26 and described at 16:54. Might be great for city driving and "racing others" from traffic lights, but taking that car to European highway speeds or to some mountain passes I'd shit myself first time I'd had to use brakes properly and/or repeatedly. The Tesla is just plain nuts! It was also on Winter tyres (confirmed on RSEV channel) so would have impacted launch.

Everyone knew the Tesla would explode from the start. I'm impressed that it launched fast but continued to pull away all the way to the finish line. That is/was the one thing that Tesla needed to improve and they clearly improved. The BMW launched so good it stayed with the Tesla for the first 100ft roughly.
Teslas ending kid
The plaid powertrain is a complete innovation. The carbon sleeved rotors put of 1,020 hp and have a very good power curve all the way to 200 mph. There are very few things that can beat it.
The Cayenne turbo gt is the fastest luxury suv still
Nice test, but the plaid does have winter tires….should have sommer tires on all cars next time
You should have changed the tires on the tesla to summer tires. That would have improved braking somewhat i reckon :p

@@Vercixx for shure even then… its a huge difference, believe me
Winter of summer tires, all the cars should be on the same tires.
The brakes on Tesla's are shit.
all cars have summer tires except the tesla it has winter tires and winter tires reduce the breaking performance by quite a bit
does the outside temperature matter? We know from Richard on his own channel the day started with -1 degrees C and he test the car in the afternoon, the drag race was before his tests so this could be in the first part of the day when it's colder
@@Vercixx Not really maybe if they did the breaking test first. But the tires where already warm when they did the breaking test and winter tires dont perform great on a dry surface when they are warm. So the cars with summer tires hade an big adventages.
@@felixarkang5414 the race was in the morning (I found out that Richard said on his channel) so it was pretty cold.
@Thorstein Klingenberg I know it would lose, probably. But still, it would have been more fare to put them on proper summer tires, so we could see how tight the actual result would be.

Ok but i think that Tesla now need to change battery lol

@@whisperisko winter tires !
@@CurryHansWurst I don't think so... I did some research* and the difference is in low dozens of %, not in several car lenghts, so it's shitty brakes, not the tyres. *For example: "The braking distance on dry asphalt was about 15% longer for winter tyres compared to summer tyres, regardless of the speed before braking." source: Nordic Road & Transport Research
@@whisperisko So 4-5 car lengths when stopping at 100 mph. As a good stopping distance at 100 mph is around 320 feet.
I've been both fast driving and drifting cars for 7-8 years now and being able to rely on the car to do what you ask it to do is paramount. Especially if it's as fast and heavy as the Model X Plaid.
PS: I'm equally critical of the poor performance of the Urus. Being a new/refreshed model and for the insane money (and the Lamborghini brand) I'd say that's a real failure. It's not like I wanted to pick on Tesla, I think both mentioned brands need to seriously imporove in some areas while the rest delivered OK or above average everywhere.

There is literally nothing insane about a 1000 hp electric car doing that. It is actually dissapointing compared to 400 hp less ice suvs.
@@hanssiegling8262 Yes it is insane, weird that you don't understand it. If these ice suvs also had 1000hp they still wouldn't have a chance at any speed. Model X will do 210mph without a limitor, trick is in the carbon rotors which keep torque at higher speeds, 1000hp @200mph - no one else can do that so far.
