To be honest, the first warcraft movie was extremely underrated, the actors, the cgi, the writing and everything else about the movie was just too good and deserves far better praise than what it has now.
as far as action it sucked huge ass chunks it was more of a love story and was horrible, i hope if they ever make a new movie it has a better script
the problem is if you dont know the lore or the novel u will not understand the drama and what the fak is actually happened. But yes, I as non wow player but the novel fan, really wish blizzard make a movie from it

The only thing is the rewrite on thralls parents. The scene in the woods was absolutely insane to see people getting punted by the orcs like that. More action would be better. I remember getting hate when I was younger for wow but when the movie came out absolutely everyone knew what it was from then on

the story they chose was good too but poorly executed by a "wow fan" that wanted to show both horde and alliance. the original draft was focusing mainly on humans and he didnt like it which resulted in too much stuff in a single movie and making everything shallow. they should have focused on the alliance in the 1st one, make it digestible for an average viewer and introduce more lore and other side of the conflict in the second movie putting thrall as the main character. it would have been so cool to have your expectations subverted by first thinking of orcs as mindless monsters and then finding out about their struggles of the past involving demons and struggles of the present as mistreated prisoners.

The filmmakers of the world are crazy and they don't have the brains to make a series out of such a beautiful story with so many fans.
You have to remember, getting the creators to collaborate cost money. Blizzard is a very greedy company. Try and get the rights to make this would probably cost more than it would bring in.

Man, I couldn’t tell you the last time I felt something while watching a movie trailer. The sheer excitement and butterflies I felt in my chest, and then the crippling realization that it wasn’t real. If only. WoW was truly something special. It’s such a shame what has happened to everything.

OMG, I WISH they'd actually make this movie! I really think Blizz dropped the ball when they didn't make movies like this. Arthas is a beloved character and it would've been amazing to see Azeroth like this. It could've been a whole thing with the Warcraft stories brought to life and even if the audience didn't know anything about the game, they'd come to know and love this place and these people we've fought with and against for so many years.

Thats becouse WoW dident create it they barelly added anything to it, WC3 and its expansion The Frozen Throne did all that. blizzard just desided to now is the time to add him into the WoW world and hes already established history did the rest. As trully bad ass as it was to se and fight the Lich King what was actually added to hes story in that expansion. The Lich King was when i played most and i cant think of mutch of anything that they really added to hes story in WoW that wasent done in WC3. Hes name and lore from WC3 alone carried the entire expansion.

The Lich King. Best Villian in the world of Video Games. Blizzard has the keys to make an epic series of movies like Lord of the Rings. If u make it, they will come. The First Warcraft Movie, due to how it was shot, required soo much time laying out the Lore before the war. It kinda missed the target fans (players) were hoping for. Personally I want to see Warcraft 3 Lore. Sylvannas Windrunner becoming a Banshee, then breaks free and creates the Forsaken. Also, I would love to see the journey of Arthas as he becomes the Lich King. It would be EPIC.

I've always dreamed of a trilogy spanning Arthas' entire story, from apprenticeship under uther to the culling, to the acquisition of frostmourne, to defeat at the citadel. Cavill would absolutely destroy this role.

The first movie was great. Good opening chapter explaining the first game. If this was made, I WOULD definitely go see it. Especially since number two could easily have been skipped. And Cavill would be excellent. He hasn't gotten to play many heroes that turn to villains.
But... "villains" depend what side you're on. To the Lich King and his followers, he is the one doing the good.
