- Matt and I explore a small river, searching for Civil War relics, coins, buttons, and other treasures. We start finding relics from the American Civil War and suddenly start detecting what appears to be exploded artillery shell fragments from World War One. There must have been an old artillery firing range long ago.
As always this is a how to metal detecting outdoor adventure vlog that is family friendly and hopefully a fun video.
About Aquachigger:
I like to make videos that promote my lifestyle of outdoor adventure, metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed. I keep my RUclips "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
I hope to see you guys out there!

It was fun detecting with Matt. It was quite a shock to learn that this area might have been used as a WWI artillery range and Civil War battleground. What do you think about the spirit at 6:30?
You can check out Matt's YT channel here: www.youtube.com/@RelicManMatt/featured
I.made it on the first call. 165 hours in 3 weeks.
Thought the spirit was awesome !! And I may have a det. Close to that one. (Deactivated of coarse ) but they may be WWII .
Hi Chigg, been following you for about a decade now. A number of years ago, I remember you'd had a fan contact you as they claimed (convincingly, as I remember you talking about it in a video) that they had found a complete cannon somewhere (possibly in a river?) that they could take you to recover. I'm assuming if that had worked out, we'd have seen a video on it... but ever since then I've been wondering, what was the story was in the end? Hoax? Misidentification?
All the best from Australia.
Just found your channel and LOVE it. We live near the three rivers in Pittsburgh. I shared your channel with my whole family, especially my Civil War buff nephew!!
That one bullet looked like someone made a fishing weight out of it .... Great Video ...
I enjoyed seeing you work with Matt, as he appears to be another one of the good ones. As I've heard you say, it's always a good day when you find a civil war bullet. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the donation!
Learned a while back that Aquachigger Adventures aren't just about metal detecting. No one better, Beau.
Omg Matt's face when Beau said the bear was probably watching from the bank 😂 that was a truly funny reaction 😂
Hey, saw u today in german tv, kabel 1. Very cool man
That bear footprint was very fresh !
I'm always surprised by the calibre of the civil war bullets. It's no wonder there were so many horrific wounds.
Great video as always.

Cool finds chigger. Watch out for beavers❤
Be pretty cool to think maybe that bullet, with the wire loop, came out of some guy who then made it into a necklace. A "The one that almost got me!" keepsake. Very cool video today! As always, thank you for sharing the adventures!
Always good to see you in action.
At 6:44 it looks like you have found a portal. Be careful, we don't want to lose you. 😉😄
Beavers, bulls, balls, bears, and bullets. Bit bare handed by a radio. Nice bomb 💣 bits Beau 👍🏻

It's okay, I know you're out there somewhere...lol.
Dont turn ur back on that beaver dude.
I was watching for him.
Awesome.
Mr. Beaver has Chigg fever! lol jk. Nice video
Fuze looks like a U.S. Model 1907 fuze. Common in WWI, and still in use up to early WWII.
Thanks
Great finds
Awesome finds!
You Rule Chigg!!!!
Chig, you have a butterfly on the back of your head. You must be sweet!
I have missed your videos sir. Lol it's not you it's me Lol. My new wife really likes you . Blessings
Welcome back
Watch out for the beaver Chigg..
Not used to seeing chigg stumped about a hunk of metal from a creek 😳
That fuse looks like an old thermostat for a 60s car
The fired bullet with the brass hook was probably a makeshift cleaning round! Maybe steel wool or a brush would be attached to the end?
Pass the torch Chigg.....
Hello, thank you for taking us along. On the piece of copper at the top of that little piece is there an arrow head cut into the metal? It looks like there’s one doesn’t that mean it’s from England? Can’t wait for the next video bye.
6:30 - That's a Samsquanch wormhole 😱
Yes, your fuse looks very similar to a type 80 shrapnel shell fuse which is basically a copy of a British munition. Thats probably where all the case shot came from. primarily designed for trench warfare to deliver an overhead burst on personnel and to reduce barbed wire entanglements. That fuse was used well into the 40s. I was in the 144th Field artillery and trained a lot at fort Irwin in the 70s and 80s and we used to come across quite a few of those old fuses either in part or almost whole.
Thanks for the id.
Got me wanting to go out for a hunt and we don’t have that good stuff here in south western Indiana that I know of
I believe I was there in the area couple weeks before u made this found a few bullets all down river of the rock damn in your video
The first mystery object reminds me of a Grocer Weight.
Hey y’all
15:58 I'm thinking WW 1 era artillery fuse ?
Wow please explain the case shot flat spots. I had no idea about that. I figilured it was from rebound sr somthing.
Better late than missing the picture show altogether.
11:03...Mothra sighting
Primus, Winona got a big brown beaver .....
Definitely a WW1 fuse. There’s literally hundreds of thousands of them laying all over Fort Sill. Very brittle brass and was told they are unstable and unsafe by range control.
Hello beau 😊
Hello 😊
Nova Scotia.
I think someone was using a old bullet mold to make fishing weights
Definitely a U.S. artillery shell fuse.
Hi Beau…Do you guys modify a certain type of pick…or is there somewhere to buy a similar pick…? I’m up in PA, and a sand scoop isn’t working so well….😊
Not sure where Matt got his, I had a friend make mine.
👊🤩👍
How ya doing today?
@@aquachigger Everything is going very well for us! Thank you. I'm going to play football soon. We are playing today against 17 years in a big tournament. Have a great weekend.
The bullet with the loop may be a piece of inserted cannon friction primer.
Those zombie beavers are watching you. They know you is tasty! Heeeeee! Hee!
Your fuse looks like a WW1 artillery item to me. Possibly British?
2.57 thats a burger from burger king
I can use that big window weight 😂😂 have a 150 yo house. Full of window weights.
11:08 you have a blad eagle nesting in your hair
Chigger you know how the ground hogs collect shiny objects and artifacts in their dens in some cases wonder 🤔 if beavers do 🦫🦫🦫 collect objects they find in thier dens.
Has anyone ever fired one of those old mini balls out a rifle?Would be nostalgic to see one sent down range 160 years after it was cast.
Wear your gloves, Chigg! 😂
Everytime I watch you find a Trap...I curse the person that set it to hell. God, those traps are so cruel. Otherwise, a beautiful day on the river!
They are for sure. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the video.
Me, too...
Better carry a sidearm watch out for the bear
Don't let the Beaver bite your Butt...!
Too bad that trap didn't have a beaver

Well Chigg it seems you have a beaver phobia, no matter the size, wet beaver big or small just want to be petted, so next time you encounter one just put on your biggest, cheesiest grin, wade on in and pet it😅
You in a beaver den that would be worth at least a million views, you in a bear den you could retire or not need to
That’s a Sam’s Squinch Beaver 🦫 Chigg watch him
