If you get a nail lamp ( $20 on Amazon) you can just pop the molds under the lamp and do other things while you are curing it. This costume is one of my favorites!. Amazing!
The wings are so good! The perfect fabric for them!! The whole outfit looks amazing. As for learning tension on your serger the easiest way is to rethread your machine with individual colours and test on different material. The different colours of thread allow you to track what happens if you tighten or loosen each of your tension dials. It’s not always what you think will happen.
@@HazarielAtelier that’s weird could it be a problem with your tension disks? My serger is being weird but it’s very old and needs service. I got it when my daughter was born in 1990!
@@HazarielAtelier even in a low- quality serger, using expensive thread helps, but the biggest trick I learned (after 15+ years of sewing!) is to raise your thread tension pole thingy all the way up.
I love UV resin! The crown was so cool! If you're going to do more UV resin things you should get a UV nail lamp, that way you can stick the uv resin mold under the lamp for however long and work on other things as they cure!

Quick weird tip: I have learned that "your" saliva will brake down "your" blood. I've been sewing for many years and this trick has saved many projects from random blood spots caused by pin pricks. Hope this helps someone else out there too.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Hazariel and everyone watching🤗🤗 I just love the costume 🤗🤗 very cute, To help with the UV resin I find starting the UV light up high about 12 inches and slowly lowering the light helps to keep the resin cooler and it stops thin resin from warping from the heat. A good trick when stitching in the ditch is to use a zipper foot the one that has the notch on both sides, this will allow you to get right in the ditch it’s a trick I picked up from me Mom when she was teaching me to machine quilt a quilt top I made for me Dad. Since then I have used it in my dressmaking as it’s really handy when doing waistbands. Looking forward to seeing in what you will create in 2023🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ive found with a serger, if you keep all the threads the same length it helps. So for fabric that is like knit, youll have lower numbers on the machine to account for stretch.
Very impressive I love it! My daughter said the other day while we were playing sky that she would totally wear that outfit. Now that i see it actually made I'm thinking of getting her one made or something similar to the way it looks in th3 game for her 16th birthday in Oct this year.
If you sand resin or drill holes into it, please wear the safety mask! The dust of resin is also toxic if you breath it in. Concerning sanding resin, it also really helps to do that wet, because then most of the dust gets into the water
I wish there was a way to do invisible seams with the dress somehow. Also, that green wire looked cool ^u^ I kind of like it with a different pair of butterfly wings. The white fluffy fabric fit better with the light up wings.

Omg those pants are exactly what I've been wanting to make!! Definitely stealing that pattern stretch technique. The wings are stunning! I wonder how it would look to use very light/pale paint to make a design that would be visible under regular light conditions. Possibly with pearl or sparkle effects!!
Just a quick tip: use hydrogen peroxide to remove bloodstains form fabric. I get regular bloody noses and it works great for getting blood out of sheets and pillowcases.

Funny that you have troubles with your Overlock aswell. Then I got mine I struggled to get it out of the box and I "slipped" over the adjudment weels and then read in the manuel that you should not change the factory settings, because they already put the perfect setting for each machine in. I watched a lot of videos, to find out which thread is which stich and slowly adjusted it until all threads met at the fabric end.

I also want to fix the surger on my own but taking it to a sewing machine repair shop has been my only solution 😅 and it supports a trade.

Thread your serger with 4 different colour threads. Then it is easy to see wich setting makes what difference in the seam :)
