    Hello from chilly Davie, Florida. Thank you for making a great instructional video. Never thought to use soft vinyl or canvas.

    That soft vinyl is so beautiful! Can you use steam when you press?

      No don't use steam, it doesn't need it.

    You could put that soft vinyl block on the outside of a Santorini bag !!!

    I made three blocks from my scraps since watching your tutorial. They are fun to make, but the scrappy look bothers me. I plan to keep making them so think I will get used to it! Merry Christmas!

      I like to stick to one color. Still scrappy, but to me, more pleasing.

      That is a great idea. I am going to try a few using just one color to see if I like that look better. If I make enough for a lap quilt, I may mix the same color ones with the really crazy ones to tone it down a bit. Thanks for the suggestion.

      Scrappy looks best when it's fully finished. As in the quilt top all together -- but it's not wrong making it in your color pallette! :D

    Would you long arm a vinyl quilt?

    Can SF101 be used instead of starch

    • @marilynnlawler2363
      @marilynnlawler2363 6 месяцев назад

      It would make it too thick for a quilt IMHO.

      You don’t have to use starch if you don’t want to- it’s just a method to make the strips easier to work with.

    Is your sweater inside out? The things that distract me. LOL.

      I don't think it is. I think that's just the way it was intentionally made. In the 90s 00s there was a small time when "Tops" had the seams like that

      @@LittleMysTeries3786 Oh LOL. I kept thinking the camera guy should say something. LOL. Because I periodically and unintentionally wear things inside out! (What happens when you get dressed in the dark and don’t want to wake your husband). LOL

      I wear certain clothes inside out all the time, I like the texture.
