You take scrappy to a new level. Your designs and the way you use colors are amazing. Such simple patterns create such beautiful quilts. You make my heart very happy. I can't wait to try the wonky quilts. 💜
Not surprised at all that your channel is so appreciated. The way you look at and appreciate fabric shows through. And I won't quote you to my doc, but I fully agree that sewing can be great exercise:) In fact, I do not have my pressing/cutting station near my sewing station so that I HAVE to get up often and move around. My layout station is my bed on the other side of the house, so I get a lot of walking in too, especially as I usually design things on the fly as I sew. Sewing is good exercise for me and my my brain:) And so is your channel! Been watching for a while and just noticed I never subscribed... and now I am.
How beautiful this turned out. I belong to a group that makes and donates many items people in hospitals, care centers, shelters and many other organizations. I am always overwhelmed by the piles of scraps I have growing in my sewing room and struggle to find enough ideas to use them up. Thanks to your video, I now have a great way to get after them. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and ideas. Keep up the great work.
Although I used to like symmetry in most things I've found recently that I'm beginning to like a looser effect. For me to even show random squares together mixing up every style is actually joyous if that makes sense. Your approach really does show us that scrappy can look so good if start with one concept in mind namely in this case keeping them to a colour family. I think that is the key to success so thank you.
Best lesson ever! Thank you. I am a beginner sewer and less so a quilter. Your quilts are so beautiful. Your lessons are great for me, you talk as if you know there are ppl listening who cannot match colors without thinking 2-3 days about it and then giving up, and then weeks later your taste changes. Nobody cares if the colors are not perfectly matched or on the complimentary board of colors of … art. 😊 Thank you again. (I only watched 2 of your videos and loved them so much.)❤
I've watched this 3 times now and have started 2 quilts with this pattern for future great grandchildren and I wanted to encourage all your viewers to make one because it's really a fun quilt to make. Also, I love how your personality and thought process comes through in your videos.
Im a long time seamstress (made my wedding dress) but so new to the quilty thing. I've watched this video & the string quilt video more than once. I love the process, your commentary, your "rules" & sense of design. I'm gonna do this thing.
I've been quilting for years but have never gotten around to making a log cabin because the precision piecing required "hurt my brain". Your quarter blocks really appeal to me and I'm glad you came up in my feed. Also, your voice is really p!easant.
I just want to thank you for the wonderful quotes that you do.I'm legally blind but I can still see your videos. If I hold the phone up close.I don't know how to subscribe because I can't see the buttons but I watch every one I find of your tutorials you do such a good job.Thank you very much
I love how you think! I have struggled to reboot my creativity in the sewing room for some time now. Watching, and especially listening to you has been such a pleasure. Thank you!
Your videos, I must say, are probably the m ost enjoyable on RUclips for quilting videos...and I watch a lot of them...there is just something so.... fun and inspiring about them...normal and do-able...and a have fun/not worry about the Quilt Police hiding in the bushes, peeking through our sewing room window, making sure we are following protocols!
I watch your videos over and over again and I’m amazed each time…I can’t cut straight, or sew straight so I think I need to loosen up and just do string and wonky quilts 😅 I truly love watching. Before I sign off…do you have any special ways of making your quilt backs and sandwiching…😊 I look forward to see what you come up with in 2024♥️♥️
I do my quilting and layering on my longarm, so it's pretty regular. I love that you love wonky quilts. Probably the more relaxed you get, the straighter you'll be able to cut and sew!! I'll hope that for you!
Standing and moving around is better ‘exercise’ than sitting when making a quilt top, but sadly, it’s not a substitute for aerobic exercises. This looks like a fun way to make some blocks.
Fun video, thanks. The final product is really cute but that way the rounds don't necessarily line up would "bother my brain!" We each have our own brain issues, for sure. I enjoy your content!
I like your rotary cutter 😊 I think I’m going to look for one to see if it helps with my arthritis. Do you know what brand you’re using? Love your videos!!
This looks so fun! I just finished my goal for March, so I have a few days to play with scraps and might try this. Could you tell me what rotary cutter you use? I think it might be more gentle on my wrist.
It is a Martinelli Cutter. You can look them up online and watch demos. They will only work with Martinelli blades - so be aware of that. Yes, they are amazing cutters. I've used mine for years and years. I love it. (They come in left and right handed.)
Yes, it's totally ergonomical. You can watch it demoed online. Martinelli is the brand. It only works with their blades. It takes a minute to hold it coreectly and use it well - but I have loved mine for years. They make both right handed and left handed cutters.
I know you are from USA, but I would like to know the city. I am from Belgium, intending to go to USA and I would like to meat you. Is It possible? Thanks
Love the quilt and even more, love your attitude. So refreshing. Thank you for the video 😊👍💕

💜
You have just put into words exactly how i feel making scrap quilts.... thank you for this "validation"......Hugs, GB
You make me giggle too😂.
As always, you are amazing and talented!
You're the best!
Lovely! Agree with your plan of keeping the quilt in one color "family" - makes a stunning scrap buster!
Look forward to part 2 with the border!
Love your voice! Also your creative choices. I see you only have a few quilting videos but I subscribed and I’m looking forward to more 🤞
You are so kind. Thank you!!
I love the enthusiasm you bring to your work!
You saying "it doesn't matter" makes me feel better as a new quilter!
Good!!

Just what i needed...LOVE THIS... i too love scrap quilts that feature "one color"....

Thank you for your wonderful comment.
LOVE that fabric with the Little Chameleons !!!!!!
Thank you for sharing this pattern. I enjoyed watching you put the quilt together. I look forward to trying this myself.
I love this pattern. It works so well with all the scrappy sizes and material! Thank you.
Are you sure you don't want to keep it for youself? Very pretty table topper.

Love this. You are amazing, thanks for posting!
Such a cute quilt square, i like it as a table topper. Will need to add this to my list of quilts to make. Thank you for this video.❤

I appreciate your comment. I do know that people find "color" difficult - but, practice helps a lot!
Really lovely quilt. Thank you😊
We need to find doctors that quilt!! Love how well you show great basic techniques & talk about happy brain.
Love it! You're a great instructor!
I appreciate that!

What a fun project from start to finish! 🇨🇦👍💕
Yes. This one is SO much fun.

Brilliant way to use scraps!!
Hello 😊. You're a great teacher. I enjoy listening to you as you talk us through the process. Thank you! ⚘️
What a great idea! Thanks for showing us how to quilt the scraps that way.
Love that rotary cutter!
I've been quilting for years but have never gotten around to making a log cabin because the precision piecing required "hurt my brain". Your quarter blocks really appeal to me and I'm glad you came up in my feed. Also, your voice is really p!easant.
I may do a demo on a whole wonky "log cabin quilt" in the future. It's SO fun to do!!

Wonderful! I find that choosing ONE THING... and just letting myself sew to "see what happens" can sometimes help. Best wishes to you!
You make quilts so pretty. And you make it look easy. So much thanks. I love this quilt. Also, love the advice that if it hurts your brain, change it!
I do a LOT of easy stuff! Luckily easy can be stunning.
Beautiful, thank you! I love it.
I made two sets of four. I’d never made such a large block before. It was super fun.
Agree!! So fun!

It is a Martinelli cutter. You must use their blades. You can google and see them demoed online. It is ergonomic and I love mine.

@@merrymabelmarket Thank you!
I wonder what brand of longarm you will be using? I hope you will consider showing it to us.
You can see it on the video where I applique with Minkee. (Look for the thumbnail with an octopus.)
It's an APQS Millie.
Please tell me what kind of rotary cutter you’re using? Thank you for the videos!
Martinelli. You can look it up online. They are ergonomic and I love mine. You must use their blades though, so be aware of that.
I have arthritis in my hands. Do you think that the shorter rotary cutter you’re using helps your wrists?
Yes, it's totally ergonomical. You can watch it demoed online. Martinelli is the brand. It only works with their blades. It takes a minute to hold it coreectly and use it well - but I have loved mine for years.
They make both right handed and left handed cutters.
I love it and I learn it, can i,

Hello!!
Where are you from, Merry?
Western United States. 💕
I know you are from USA, but I would like to know the city. I am from Belgium, intending to go to USA and I would like to meat you. Is It possible?
Thanks
Do you have a printable pattern for this?
We are making one just because you asked. Check our website for a free printable by next week.
Has the pattern been made yet for the fast and fun quilt top?
My I watch tells me I sometimes walk four miles just going back and fort in my sewing room sometimes.
Best exercise ever!
Извините, я не очень хорошо понимаю английский язык. Какой размер в окончательном варианте?
40 x 40 inches.
Спасибо, совсем запуталась пока перечитывала дюймы в сантиметры.
