Thanks for the shout out, I enjoyed your reaction and I am looking forward to more Aurora, LillM and Hakanandersson both have great suggestions below. See you on the next Aurora reaction
This performance was the first occasion that I experienced AURORA some 2.5 years ago during Covid! I am continually impressed by her talents! She has taken over as my favourite artist...and this is coming from a seasoned 68 year old heavy and progressive rock fan.
@@johnsullivan659 to you, to me, I agree with Steveaga, Aurora is the best, it is all just personal taste, no reason to shout NOT when giving your difference of opinion
@@johnsullivan659 I discovered Nightwish around the same time! Cannot stop playing Ghost Love Score from Wacken in 2013! Floor is a Goddess. Totally different to AURORA...different...excellent...superb...but not better nor worse!
Love her artistery and voice for 7 years now and follow her is probably one of the best thing i have done. You are a nice couple. Thanks for the reaction i like it a lot. You should see Aurora - Lucky in Nidarosdomen (big church in Norway) That particular performance is my favourite ever.... been made
Loved your reaction. Just because of that Beatles cap, I'll throw in a suggestion for Aurora's cover of Across the Universe but The Beatles. It's beautiful ❤
Thank you for the encouragement and for the suggestion. We have added it to our list. Grandpa Ricky has a very large cap collection. He like the fact that you noticed it.
Absolutely gorgeous. It's the performance of this song I like the most, but she nails it in every one. She has a great way to make the songs she covers her own, usually by really capturing the real meaning of the lyrics. Around the 2nd March 2016, Aurora sang this song for Gigwise: Aurora Covers David Bowie’s 'Life on Mars?' for Gigwise: ruclips.net/video/5Ipwa4iFjEQ/видео.html Here's a part of their article (link in the description of the video of the cover given above): "I just really understand 'the girl with the mousey hair'," Aurora tells Gigwise of her love of the track. "she gets quite disappointed over the world and she hears about this greater, more beautiful life that might be out there somewhere. She asks herself these questions - is there life on Mars? Is there a purer life that I don't have access to?" She continues: "It's just a really beautiful song, and I loved it from the first time I heard it. David Bowie himself is a hero, he just made us all feel so special - he was a genius. The way he behaved, the way he answered all of his interviews, the way he was, it was just so inspirational." Aurora adds: "It's very bold to embrace your inner quirkiness, and he helped me not to be ashamed of who I am." Thanks for the nice reaction to Aurora, this so brilliant artist.🙂👍
Thanks for sharing the wonderful bit of Aurora knowledge with us all. I know he was an influence in her style of writing, but, now I know that he did more for her than that and that is awesome. He was a fantastic artist, they remind me of each other in that they are both unique among a sea of, well, not unique, lol
👍😍😍 Very nice reaction🤗 This is a beautiful cover by Aurora🤩 I’m pretty sure David Bowie would’ve loved it❤️ She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano😊 I recommend “The Seed” live at the HAIK concert The male choir was a surprise for her😊 “All is soft inside” live at KEXP Iceland 2018 🥰
The American version of Life on Mars was great, the British one was even better, the the follow up series Ashes to Ashes...also Aurora is unique and wonderful.
Did you notice anything odd sitting on top of her electric piano? Look closely. Does it look like half a dozen dead cockroaches? Well, that's cuz it is! >_< She was interviewed by Howard Stern soon after this performance and she mentioned she put them there to calm her nerves while performing. She's a total bug nerd....super into moths, but also just bugs in general. I just love how weird and funny and cool it is to perform this stunning rendition of this song....while 6 cockroaches are perched on your piano. Everything about that is so Aurora...lol
She's a cute girl, a lovely voice, but she sounds the same in nearly every song...*to me*. I really like her performance of The Murder Song tho. Wanda I don't think I've seen you w your hair down b4! Makes me miss my long hair...then I step outside, and, nah!
Doesn't every singer sound the same, I mean, their voice is the same voice used in every song? How is she supposed to sound differently? I'm just curious as to how she is not supposed to sound like herself
@Oldperson-wt3ui I don't want her to sound like anyone else...I like her voice, I like hearing her sing. But for *me*, personally, I like her in small doses bc she does have that certain sound that's all her... but its not something I could listen to a whole cd of. I realize you are a big fan, and I think that's great! And it's not that I dislike Aurora... I just like her only in small measure. And there's nothing wrong with that. Didn't she cover a Massive Attack.song? Was it Teardrop? That was really good too!
@@amygoodson-catlady I get it, I was just trying to understand it, it was a head scratcher for me, lol.. no worries, we all have our own personal favorites of her songs (my list is much shorter that has the songs I don't love 😊) and I get that some don't even like her.
I think that it may be that her style of singing is SO unique that it makes it so recognizable on each song she sings. She def puts her own twist to her songs. (BTW - covid hair - LOL)

It's very rare that Aurora has copyright claims on her songs. Great reaction. Thanks.

Her original song Through the eyes of a child live is a great song she wrote when she was 10/11 years old is stunning ✌️❤️🏴
