Who cannot like those Breguet numerals? The 5212A has to be my favourite Patek in Ricks collection. Such a classy throwback design wise. Rick is a very knowledgeable and eclectic collector, and a wonderful person to chat with. He can get excited about watches from varying price points, just as long as they have an interesting esthetic.

To me the best of all sport patek watches is undoubtedly the 5711 blue dial, especially the « new dial » ones produced from end 2018 to 2020. But collectors are fighting to get one in their collection and I just put my name on the 5712, even if chances of success are very thin! Another great patek is the worldtime grand feu with enamel map, centered on Asia, for the first time is going to be a very very exclusive one, and they told me it was only for the biggest customers.
These people talk about the fact they like complicated Patek watches like they are the same price as a simple Patek watch- just personal taste. These people also don't live in the real world.
@@the1916companywatchreviews Yes, Patek is much higher level of finishing. But if you're going for the "modern" look, why not just go with JLC? I have a 3940 for a reason. But If I wanted a "modern" look, I would go with JLC perpetual. They are far better value, and mechanically more sophisticated.

They're too casual to be a dress watch, and too stiff and delicate to be a casual sports watch. How many pilots would actually use a Patek pilot watch? seriously?
