as someone whos trying to learn this stuff with 0 friends who play this game, i appreciate the content. Your vibe is mellow too compared to other channels ive visited.. you try and make it as simple as possible instead of pro level stratz.
I like your point about Crystal Maiden. Crystal Maiden feels like the veteran player's pick for a new player to win the game (because free global mana regen is both super strong and super braindead at low levels)...but not a good pick for a new player to LEARN the game. She has some crucial problems that new players struggle with - squishiness, mana management, etc. She's a nice hero for sure, but she's the kind of hero that a longtime player who's forgotten what it's like to learn DotA THINKS someone should play to learn DotA.
I remember when I started playing dota 2, my friend told me specifically what heroes to start with. It really helped. So I'm glad you're doing the same!
After 1k3h in dota2 I was achieve Immortal medal with only Pos4-5 today. Thank you for your great videos. I strongly agree about this tierlist, my hero pool from Crushader to Immotal was: Lion, Ogre, CM, Lich, Venge, AA, Abadon, Snap for Pos5. SB, Lina, SS, Hoodwink for Pos4. I think these are great hero for newbie to learn about Dota. Goodluck and have fun!
I got my first ever win in Dota 2 playing Ancient Apparition cuz of this video - I spent half the game not realizing I had to double-tap my ult, but I still did okay! Thanks for the vid
just getting into dota after playing league off and on for 11 years, youre videos are very educational - i like the style very much. and youre also funny!
Learning the game. Ive been playing league for like 5 years so learning a new moba is refreshing. Thank you cuz i feel like an idiot trying to play this game vs league.
I'm a returning player, stopped for like 3 years. Came across your channel today after a bad game and i'm so thankful. Thank you for putting your content and sharing valuable info with clueless people like me !
Not a new player, but sometimes you use terms that might be hard to understand if your a new player. Maybe you should add definition like off-cooldown means use whenever off cooldown. I know its pretty understandable for people who play, but if you new to mobas in general it might go over their head.
It'll probably be awhile til I make a video like this for 4's, but a quick answer here. Snapfire I think would be good right now. She can be played 4 and 5 and there's several videos about her on this channel. Lion and Shadow Shaman are decent 4's and can also be 5's. Hmmmm I need to think on this a bit more probably, a lot of good 4's have unique challenges for new players. Many can work, but it just depends on what you might like/be good at
I find Abaddon very easy to play. But I am not a new player so I might see things wrong. Personally I prefer maxing Q first and leaving W for later. Just sit behind your carry and spam heal him or harass enemies with Q. Can be simple laning phase for beginners. The carry loves the heal, even if that's the only thing you do.
I added them to the description of the video. You should be able to click them and subscribe to see them in game. Let me know if that works for you! They're very bare bones though to be honest
i'm glad he didnt shower CM with praise it's not a hard hero but you need some getting used to and if you fuck it up you will be free gold walkin around for the entire game
I've added them to the description now. You should be able to subscribe to them through the link and then you'll have an easier time finding them when you open the guides in the Dota 2 client

Very true, I'm trying to be aware of terminology I use. It's tough lol. Maybe I can try to edit in definitions when those terms come in
On the flip side, hearing the terms used in context is one of the best ways to learn them.
I feel like after watching this I can now play hard support hahahaha great vid!
Very insightful as usual.. great content as usual...
Thanks for dota training to know your channel. Your content is the part of my journey
Thank you, good luck on your journey!
You're welcome

@ZQuixotix you're doing gods work. Keep it up.
it's look like a 10-15 years ago. when i''m starting to play dota and need some guides. for all people new in this game, enjoy this game!
thanks for doing this. I have 0 hours in Dota, your video are really helping
I always do my best how to be a support player and this helps me a lot especially, I don't have friends who always be there for me to teach me.
Not a new player, but still really enjoyed the video. I think your vids are great :D
will you make a tier list for beginner pos 4 heroes too?
Invoker is the other Intelligence hero with the lowest starting intelligence, tied with Ogre at 15.
woah, shocking for me, knowing that Invoker is a very strong Int hero.
Funny how he is a super op mage and stuff and has the Intelligence if an ogre lol
I'd love to see a soft sup top list like this one! :D

@@ZQuixotix Thanks so much for the reply! I love your content :)

I don't play too much Abaddon support, so he might be easier than I remember!
The dispel mechanic might be confusing when you dont know enemy spells.
I could see a new player just stand there while teamates are silenced.
Hey Zach can't find your support guides for these heroes. Can you please rename them and publish? Something like ZQ's Oger support for beginners?
I added them to the description of the video. You should be able to click them and subscribe to see them in game. Let me know if that works for you! They're very bare bones though to be honest
ty!
Tanks man
Nice one
Thank you dude, which country you're from?
Parents from Singapore, but I grew up in the United States!
@@ZQuixotix Indonesian chinese here. You are so lucky, are you a US citizen now?
Tech player here.. I would not put techies in the list too lol (even though play them in pos 4 or 5).
Do you have a twitch channel?
witch doctor - ready to feed
Didn't know the WitchDoctor had Covid in 2022
Dark Willow i feel is an easy support hero play with
i'm glad he didnt shower CM with praise it's not a hard hero but you need some getting used to and if you fuck it up you will be free gold walkin around for the entire game
How do i find the guides?
I've added them to the description now. You should be able to subscribe to them through the link and then you'll have an easier time finding them when you open the guides in the Dota 2 client
no pudge? :^(
how on earth wd is easier than Cm and lion lol
Can’t believe he didn’t say Ogre. He’s the easiest support 5 In the game
I'm waiting for the phoenix...... and you skip that🗿
I only play axe, bh, viper,dp and gyro 5,non of those heros is on the list
