My beloved 120 lbs. GSD was diagnosed with DM definitely last summer. He is on a pain med. as well as continues to receive Curcumin-95 and Boswellia 500 mg. each cap., but I perceive he's still feeling pain. His knees won't bend, he moans, groans and grumbles when I try to lift his hips to bring himself up to an awkward sit which gives him enough leverage to stand up if he rocks back and forth and places his front legs close to those sad back paws. Since he was never so vocal in these situations and variables, I can only think that he's uncomfortable and in pain. My heart hurts. My brain is overwhelmed. I want to make the very best decision possible and want to know that my decision was accurate, good, helpful, loving and the very best anyone who cares and loves any dog, could've/would've done. Anyone else feeling so emotionally hurt, drained, depressed, empty, useless ?

@@AABlack-cn4yf Cooper was euthanized April 29. All I want to do is crawl under a rock and stay there until I die.

Thank you for this. My little guy is 16 years old and has been dealing with a slow degeneration for about a year. I have him a little wheel chair now but I am constantly worrying that his is hurting and just never shows it.
