It is incredible that the manufacturer doesn’t take that boat back, every week this goes on their reputation goes further down the drain. Literally nothing at this boat was as it should be. I live in South Africa and last year I had a plan to buy one of their boats but then I started to follow this….

We've seen what happens to the other poor folks that found themselves in similar new boat ownership helldomes. They tried but did not quite have your strength and conviction - they were beaten into submission by these snake oil salesman filled boat building companies and silenced by their forced non disclosure agreements. Now their stories that all potential 'new' boat buyers across the world would have benefited from learning of have disappeared. By your efforts and even the lesser efforts of other sailing RUclips channels to expose the truth about boat builder's near complete inability to deliver what they say will at the time folks sign a contract with them you are helping to initiate a forced change in an industry that would never, ever change on their own volition. I thank you and wish for you many years of happy adventuring on a safe, strong and comfortable vessel - you are almost there!!

Would have been faster to build a new boat it feels , but frankly watching videos of all these new boats what on earth would you buy that is better ? I opted for a 1980's boat built like a tank that if I was to buy new I could not afford this level of quality construction and type of boat and refit all the electronics and re-bed all the gear etc .Boat is long proven as a blue water boat and the problems are known . Less work than you or the Wynn's have , or Parlay were into . I am in cheaper than you are in depreciation alone and frankly if I give it away when I am done I am out the cost of a good used car that would also be worth nothing in 10 years . Yet the boat is actually now worth more than I paid thanks to my updating . . Yes , not a cat , but I actually do not want a cat for my plans . The boat is basically a Southerly with a self stepping mast . Perfect for the intercostal, Florida , Bahamas and any gunkholing or sailing around the world .
Sikaflex problem: there can be 3. reasons 1, to old and not kept on good environment. Shelflife is max 12 months. 2. They forgot or used not enough hardener during the mixing process. 3. Those products are not compatible within underwater use, and in a continue stress environment. Only epoxy can be used.
Re "damage to your life " yes , the years stolen you can never get back . The do not add sand to the hourglass in the end and as time goes by you get less able to do the things you plan to do today . I feel for you and frankly any warrantee on a boat like this should by law include insurance to replace your boat with a rental while they fix it . Just like they do for a car in an accident .
I was just so happy to see her go to a good home - everytime an update comes through I have to do a lap of the boat to show our crew and the repair team, makes us all smile to see Chi Chi happy 😊

Those keels in the charter market would be just ignored as they only care if they last a few years and then sell them .
