Thanks! We ended up seeking safety at the pub that just opened next door to the shipyard... not 100% sold on it though, might need to test it again another night 😉😂
I would never devote so much time to a boat, it would have even gone long time ago. The extent of work on your boat is incredible, not sure how they recover from this reputation. Speechless !!!😂
What a strong and lovely young woman you are I'm 65 and have had a woman in my life for 32yrs with the same characteristic as yourself I'm blessed as your partner is l hope after this event is finally over your life will be blessed cheers from Australia 😊
Sounds like you are a lucky man! 😉😁❤️ I'm excited for the future but am grateful that the past set me up to be a strong, independent and resiliant individual. We try to focus on ourselves as a team and the original goal we set out to achieve, which I think helps each of us look beyond the hardship of now - we're looking forward to achieving our ultimate goal of reaching El Nido, the Philippines!
We really could do with one but it's so hard to switch off when you know there are things you could be doing to speed up getting back on the water. I swear our 1st video post launch might just be 20 minutes of me just swinging in a hammock 😅
I'm glad you shared that they are re-purposing the lumber from the shed. The whole time it was coming down, I was thinking how useful it would be to someone else. Liger is gaining monentum towards launch. Full speed ahead.
We were pleased too! The team leader from Leopard even authorised for some to be given to a yard worker who wanted to use it for a project at home, something we wholeheartedly supported 😊
Absolutely, and if you watch our videos you'll see we don't shy from work and have vast trade skills, but it would be nice if the work was maintenance from actually using the boat or things we wanted to install, repair or create for ourselves, rather than years of dealing with the fallout of poor workmanship from the factory, failed warranty repairs and collateral damage caused by warranty teams sent in to fix the problems.
After over 600 day on the hard you start with team building 😂😂😂. Wahooooooooo the end is near and the start comes soooooooooooon🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉time to organize the farewell party 🎉🍾
Thanks Terry 😊 Rose shared some of the treats you dropped off with the rescue dog Chi Chi (we saw the adopted owner at PB) and apparently she loved them - the owner likes to chat to her so explained where they came from as she chowed down 😂❤️🐕
@travelsketch *Awwwwww....I'm So Very GLAD...! Keep Us in The Know Wen You Guys Goin To Leave...?! Have A Great, Blessed, Safe, Enjoyable, Wonderful Day 😊 & Wken...!*
I know it's a bit late now, and all your seeling is done, but next time use a spray bottle with washing up liquid and water. If you rub washing up liquid into your hands it's stops it sticking as easy
It's possible to make it happen but will mean pushing any non-critical jobs that don't need to be done on land to after we launch (for example some of the remaining deck fit and window backfill) and doing long days in the lead up to launch. Every Christmas/NYE on the boat so far we've been stuck somewhere undergoing warranty so it would be nice to spend this one on anchor having fun, but we'll have to see how things progress in the next couple weeks.
We would but Leopard wanted it down while they were still here and there was a need to coordinate with them and ZSpars for the mast to go back on. It's hotter without it, but is also easier to access the hull to do the antifoul and also meant our solar could be recomissioned and tested; we've added the 2x helm panels since the boat was covered.
They were in the shopping cart but the customs bond at the airport here in Trinidad is hot so I took them back out 🥺 The Whittakers choccy was melted but I knew I'd be safe to reharden them with their plastic wrappers 😁
What happened to your helper that flew there to help u guys and bought his own boat and did tremendous work on y'all's boat like the painting on the front bows haven't seen him in the videos
Nino is still here being an absolute champ - he's been working on painting the back door which is a warranty job but due to a lack of experience with the paint it was decided Nino would do the work despite that meaning Trent would have to pay. We actually just got back from the pub for a belated celebration of his boat being named! He's coined it "El Nino" 😎😎
Before boat life we worked in different fields - I was a primary school educator (Teesh). We invested money, had side hustles and once we moved on the boat we transitioned to new ways to make money. I became a freelance content writer using the skills from my time as a teacher. If you're curious about it, I've done a few articles on making money while living on a boat posted to the the Travel Sketch website 😊
Please tell me you have logged all your hours both on the hard as well as hours worked (by everyone). R & C as well as the Travelopia group should be on the hook for EVERYONE's Hours worked. You buy a car, you don't EXPECT to spend 2-3 YEARS sorting out the warranty issues. Compensation IS DUE TO YOU.
Thanks to all our local friends for supporting us. Hopefully this wraps up soon.
So happy for you all! So close!
Hopefully very soon! Rose is going to be spinning in circles up and down the deck when she realises the boat is going in the water 😂
Happy Friday yall...keep safe💪🏻✊🏻

And thank you, I've been called some things by internet trolls who need to find more constructive hobbies so this comment was appreciated 😊
about time you lot had a break ...... hope it works out for you

So close now , can’t wait to watch the time she gets back in the water 😎🇦🇺😎
It will be a very emotional day that's for sure! We hope to be able to announce a launch date soon :)
Good news your boat look great

It is amazing that the boat was delivered with so many problems. I would avoid that manufacturer at all cost.
It’s a boat. There’s never an end to doing work on it!.

@ Leopard, the dodgy brothers of the boat world.

Hahaha your comment made us giggle - when else would we have started team building 🤔😂

I have almost finished the Samboy BBQ chips... should have ordered more 😅
Is a December splash realistic and/or possible?

Curious why you would want the tent to come down?? I would think you would want it to the last minute.

Where are the Tim Tams? 😅
They were in the shopping cart but the customs bond at the airport here in Trinidad is hot so I took them back out 🥺 The Whittakers choccy was melted but I knew I'd be safe to reharden them with their plastic wrappers 😁
@travelsketch thought that might be the case, sad 😔

It is so pleasing to see ‘things’ drawing to a positive conclusion.😀👍⛵️
🤣😂
I’m curious to know how y’all make money
