    The stream from the shower opens the cuticles on your hair shaft, allowing the leave in to be absorbed more easily. I've incorporated that step too.

    I do two sections too because my hair doesn’t like being in 4 sections so I fee that it’s easier in two sections

    • @kaylanatasha13

      Exactly!! For me my 4 sections are always uneven and it just doesn’t feel right haha.

    wearing the cap was a good idea !! but it’s not the same . i used to wear a cap to keep as much moisture too but after switch to applying leave-in in the shower i saw a real difference ! also after you put your leave-in on put a cap over it before you go in with your styler !! but anyway , the way that i see the leave-in in the shower is that we can be pretty heavy handed and when you apply on your hair in the shower you allow excess water to take excess product out of your hair leaving you with the perfect balance . if you’re down to try it again i’d love to see the results :)

    • @kaylanatasha13
      @kaylanatasha13  2 года назад +1

      Wow thank you so much! So basically apply it while in the shower and let the excess drip out but put a cap on before I get out? Do I squeeze any of the excess water out? Or just leave it how it is? I’m definitely going to make another video trying this!

    I finally found someone with hair identical to mine! This is my curl pattern. Any tips on length retention? Is starting with a trim a good idea?

    • @kaylanatasha13
      @kaylanatasha13  2 года назад +9

      I love that! And my main suggestions would be to deep condition every week and find a low manipulation style that works for you - something you actually feel comfortable wearing. Oh yeah and definitely get a trim if that’s what your hair feels like it needs. I can always tell I need a trim when my ends are constantly getting tangled while detangling.

    Yeah next time if you can, do it in the shower, section your hair in like 4 sections and use warm water.

    You video was great so don't be so hard on yourself because for me 4 sections don't work for me either. I actually don't make much of an effort to section my hair at all. If I do I part it, it is so that the top and bottom are separated. Your hair looks amazing 👏 😍

      @kaylanatasha13  2 года назад +3

      Thank you so much for this comment! I lowkey thought I was the only one because seems sectioning is such a big part of natural hair care. I always wear a middle part so I think my hair is just trained to be like that all the time.

      @@kaylanatasha13 And if you really still don’t like the handle😂, there’s one for naturally curly hair without a handle (red).
      Personally, I prefer the brush for curly and coily hair with the handle. I just grip on the brush part.
      And it may be way better to detangle with conditioner or pre-poo before you shampoo.
