I band my hair, kind of like African banding but I don’t use all the string and make it so tight. I just wrap the hair band done my hair while it’s wet to avoid frizz, then I wait till it’s all the way dry to take it out (1-2 days, possibly overnight depending on how much water I use). I find that it gets my hair pretty fluffy (I have 3c-4a hair). Hopefully you see this and it helps you.

I think your hair is just 3c only
