- In this video I start a small rewire, chasing out walls and installing the earth rod (as it's a TT system) - This video is part 1 of 3 in the mini series documenting this rewire from start to finish.
I like the use of the hammer drill for the earth rod I will be stealing that idea 👍
Dan Graves haha steal away - it’s what the channels all about sharing and improving
Hi, Just bought erbauer chaser using with henry hoover. Works great. Realised that if you have it round the right way you can start at the top and let gravity do the work ! rather than pushing it up the wall.
Tony Young great tip Tony! Unfortunately I find it a bit awkward and cumbersome going down the wall with my one (combination with its design, where the hose comes out and the fact I’m right handed) - I’m actually looking round for an alternative as after a bit of use the hose heats up and collapses on itself meaning it can’t extract the dust (it’s really annoying!)
Where have you been mate? really miss your vids and you are genuinley good to watch. Hope you get back on this in the new year pal, all the best
PanicIncisions new videos up - I’m back!
What did I just see at 5:16? I always hate tanked walls I'm never quite sure where to put my boxes so as not to bridge the damp membrane? Another great video mate 👌
J Beck Electrical haha put that in there for you 😉
Grand job , can i ask which chaser and vac you’re using? Cheers bud👍🏻
Steven Murphy it’s just a titan wall chaser connected to a titan wet and dry vac with a decent capacity - it’s not brilliant but does a job.
I’ll be looking to invest in a better one soon
Nice one , why was the new earth rod needed.....?
yensabi 3 reasons:
- readings on original, although “ok” where too close to 200ohms for my liking - so opted to get that reading down
- original had no housing, protection against impact and the termination of the main earth to the rod itself was open to the elements thereby not giving it sufficient protection against corrosion
- lastly it’s a full rewire and as such we replace everything and start a fresh (I feel better walking away knowing a new rod is in)
STF Electrical Ltd Thanks for the reply mate , it's just nice to know how other people go about doing something and the reason they do it...👍
yensabi exactly I’m the same 👍🏻
Nice video mate, what wall chaser do you use?
Sparky937 it’s only a titan one from screwfix, coupled with their wet and dry hoover it’s okay... would welcome another manufacturers to have a go of and review on the channel though 🤣
Not a fan of the new light switches so far from the door frames
Supersparks thanks for the comment, noted 👌🏻
Supersparks everyone’s entitled to an opinion 😂
@@Madman-ge2eb what's funny?
