Galaxy S23 Plus 4 Months Later - Let's see if you should consider it now! Share your take below!
I got a s21 plus would you recommend upgrading to s23 plus
@@green9227 No.
I have both. Don't upgrade. The difference is not much.
@green9227 yes I have all 3 devices and the plus has about an hour longer than the ultra and performance is great no pag when playing games camera is impressive it's worth upgrading
@@AhmedSamir92it has a massive improvement in terms of battery and performance
I've been using my Flip 4 since its launch last year and I'm not upgrading to Flip 5 nor Fold because there's not much updates honestly. The flagship (ultra) is so expensive and I'm waiting for the price to go down a bit to upgrade perhaps. Now I'll see how the iPhone 15 series and Pixel 8 series do later in the year and decide. I used to switch phones super quickly in the past because there's always something interesting to try out. Now I feel stalled, the same design, some minor updates and not much of a breakthrough in the last 5-10 years...
I used Android for years and I was satisfied. Then I moved to iPhone 14 Pro and my life changed. All my hair fell out and I went totally bald. My doctor told me the iPhone had obviously done this to me. The solution was going back to Android and so I bought the S23 Ultra. I’m delighted and relieved to report all my hair has grown back, and it’s fuller and thicker. Not only do I have a great phone, I also look great. If you want to look like John Malkovich, buy an iPhone. If you want to look like a young Brad Pitt, buy a Samsung.
Geschichten aus dem Paulanagarten :)
Man 😂
I just got one of these in Australia from Samsung for $770 AUD which is $492 USD which is a real bargain given the retail price in Australia is over $1600.
I am considering the S23, however I'm keeping budget in mind. I would like a flagship though. Here's an idea: how about a video of the best old flagships(up to 3yrs old) that one could purchase.
Probably Apple or Google as they offer a lot more updates for phone that are 3 years old.
Don't get the 22, terrible series
I got my first flagship 5 days ago-s23 ultra and bro this phone is fire!
Yes, me too!
I’ve had a iPhone 13 for two years and really am tired of it I’m a android head that wanted to give the big apple a try and even tho it’s definitely overall a better phone than my old google pixel the s23 ultra I have access to feels so much better and the scrolling is no comparison.
Hi, thank you for your feedback!
Having used both the S23 and the S23+ for a while, which do you prefer ? Is the S23+ screen sharp and pleasant enough ? For reading, multimedia etc.. as the number of PPI is only 393 compared to the 422 of the standard S23 and even more for other models with higher resolution. I'm wondering if the difference really noticeable ?
I have an S7 (hi from the Cretaceous 😶) and I'm struggling to decide between the two. I don't have big hands so I have no idea whether the S23+ will feel too bulky and heavy.
Out of curiosity, which phone do you use on a daily basis ?
Sorry for the pamphlet 😅
Tbh you won't even know which phone has 393 ppi and which hai 422 until you compare them both side by side. Both screens are sharp enough to get the job done. The main difference between the two phones is battery life and heat control in my opinion. If you work in non air conditioned conditions or if you don't have time to charge your phone during the day then you should go for Plus otherwise regular 23 is equally capable.
Do a comparison between iphone se 2022 vs google pixel 7a
Awesome 👌
Smartphones have reached their peak. Its all about features at this point. Everything else about the phone is subjective. Nobody is going to be able to tell the difference between a tik tok taken on an s23 or a 14 pro, literally no chance anyone can spot the difference. The s23plus has the best battery life ive ever seen and its runs incredibly smooth and cool with no stutters. Video performance is very crisp, photos are very crisp, battery is next level in my use case, design is the cleanest of any smartphone, performs exactly like the s23 ultra just without s pen and 10x zoom. Well done samsung well done.
Samsung should stop here, I think all smartphones should stop here, they have reached their peak. I wonder what they're planning next, we have had our best and they have given us their best. We don't need the s24U or 15pro Max. The phones we have now is enough, they should produce phones every 2 to 3 years not every year.
@osaspromise6913 couldn't agree more. My s23 plus runs so flawlessly that it's hard to process. 8 Gen 2 is the perfect Chipset. I don't need more than this. This is perfect for Me
Those social media apps are not fully optimized for android phones, not even for Samsung, you can still tell the difference
Another poor internet kid claims to have expensive stuff😂
Battery life have to be improved a lot
I moved from S10+ to S23+ . Got tempted to shift to IOS but glad I didn't. The vibration system, camera, and smoothness are just premium.
I'm still rocking the S10+. I don't feel to change yet.
Still using the S10, but looking to upgrade to the s23+. How is the battery holding up for you?
@@marcelmedema001s23 plus battery is amazing. I get 7 hours of screen on time in a bad day and dark mode saves alot of battery. I just have mu theme change to brighter theme whenever I switch back and forth between light and dark mode.
@@marcelmedema001 not OP but I used AccuBattery and unsure how reliable the app is really meant to be, but I'm at 71% capacity and even then it feels like it drops like a stone. Phone is slowing down because of it and my screen is cracked. I'm dying for next month's price drops
Have to agree. I returned my ultra and picked up the plus just because of the ergonomics. I don't miss many of the ultra features and get a solid big phone experience without developing palm calluses 😂.
I picked it up for my son. I should have bought it for myself! Lol. The camera shutter speed is even better than the Ultra
i have the ultra, but use a folio case. Result- no calluses and a well protected phone!
Same here, ultra is too bulky for me. Purchased after Note 10 plus, had it for a week only and I switched to s10+.
@@GoLions67camera on s23 ultra is trash..s23 plus anyday

Best phone ive had yet. Price wasnt ideal but im using it until it dies so it makes it worth it. Great battery, display, camera, fingerprint reader and never overheats.
Tell me about it. I still have the 8 plus but ordered this one today. It's time. 😂😂

We don't need the s24U or 15pro Max. The phones we have now is enough, they should produce phones every 2 to 3 years not every year.
True. Phones have reached their peak. It's all about software right now from companies with all the AI, system and battery optimization
@@trevoraiden7339 Phones have not reached their peak, I mean they still don't quite beat real cameras, and they still can get fewer bezels, no punch holes or display notches or islands, processors still get warm with heavy uses, so they can be improved, but they're amazing right now and everything else going forward is not a necessity but a luxury.
I have the s23 plus And absolutely love it! Very versatile plus I can carry it in one hand as I'm working. My only fear is that Samsung may actually discontinued these models in the future and just go with the S And S ultra. No!!
Battery and thermals? I want to change phone but i am afraid to go for s24 with exynos.. so s23??
Thank you for providing me with more and more reasons to get this phone. I'll be getting it in a few weeks and am really looking forward to it.
Besides the camera, this is arguably the best of the s23 lineup.I have been using it for 2 months now and its easily the best Samsung i have used.
Awesome four month review of the Galaxy S23 plus, Nick. Great for people to enjoy media content, great for battery life, performance with the SD 8 Gen 2 is up there with the best, cameras for the average consumer are great. So Samsung has given its customers a complete package to enjoy for years to come with the four year OS and five year security patches. Well done Samsung!! As always keep up the great work, I always enjoy your informative videos
Nice job on the review... I got my mint condition s23 plus graphite 512 gb for $650 last week. With Samsung phones I just wait a couple months then hunt around and be picky and get one in the used market. I got to say the battery life's been great on this phone and I have no complaints about how zippy it is.
Where did you get s 23 plus for 650 $ please let me know where I can get tnx

I found the s23 to be the perfect size, yes the plus/ultra has better battery but I'll take that trade off for a more manageable phone. I haven't found myself short of battery yet in the regular 23!
What's the sot bud
85%-20% wifi sot??
I have an S23 Ultra, and I can say Samsung is doing a great job this year!
agreed❤
Me too. Love this phone.
How is the battery life on the ultra?
I pre-ordered my S23+ and got the 512 gb upgrade. I absolutely love this phone
I have the s9 plus im still using i might make the move on this one . All I do is watch RUclips videos with my phone and text my wife lol ?
Same here bro, I'm still using s9+, but thinking between s23plus or iphone 13 pro
@@PartyJoke ya im 46 I have always had a Samsung i dont really feel the need to change now lol be sides i really use it to text and watch RUclips lol and to me the s23 looks nice
@@PartyJokei came from s9+ to s23+. Everything is satisfying with the upgrade but the screen resolution makes me upset.
I will probably buy this one. Replacing my Note 10+. But I'm waiting to see if the iPhone 15 Pro Max manages to cut enough weight to make it an alternative. The S23 Ultra is no alternative. I don't like the curved display, or the square shape of it, and it's too big. An ultra in the s23+ shape and size, would be perfect.
This is the one I have been eyeing. My carrier has the 23 base model for free for the contract, but the battery is what keeps me from getting it. The 23+ seems to be the middle ground.
I cracked my screen (both the glass and some display damage) on my S20+ 😭. I absolutely hate that there's no more external SD cards and the newer S+s have 4 Gb less RAM than my S20+. Is that RAM difference noticable? I'd have to go Ultra to match. Debating on repairing or turning my phone in. I think the repair cost where be sizable with the screen damage.
Ive had the s23+ for 4 days. This phone is the epitome of fast and buttery smooth. Battery life is incredible, I can stream music, youtube videos, and livestreams for a full 8 hour work day on a single charge and not even in power saving mode. Very solid phone so far
Ah man finally someone talked about the aspect ratio! Every phone screen just feels so skinny these days! 19.5 by 9 is perfect!
They can improve on the aspect ratio. I would like to see them go back to an 18.5:9 or 18:9 ratio in a 6.2 inch screen.
I prefer this shape over the ultra but that 1080p display tho 😭
1080p is ideal. Most content is 1080 and it gets better battery life. 400 ppi is plenty.
Getting the 256gb version of this phone also in phantom black. Trading in my S21 FE 256gb for $260 and getting the s23 for $440 (Tmobile version on sale for $850 right now. Had $160 in samsung rewards and a $25 off promo code 🎉
Great review Nick. I'm still using A72 which still works like a charm. Never stuttered, never lagged, I'm truly surprised as to how Samsung is doing a great job in the last 1 to 2 years.
Now I'm in a dilemma, as to whether should I get S23+ or Xiaomi 13T Pro - whats your take on this bro, i would appreciate your help. Thank you
Awesome content keep it up as always watching with my S23 plus bro
how come ios better than oneui when you cant even rearrange your apps on the iphpne😂, ios can only do like 30% of what android can offer😅
The only downside is the price😂
Yeah exactly for 100 bucks more you get the ultra
Call me shazzam and Nick Ackerman are my favourite tech youtubers ❤. I subbed you after watching your first video
Kinda wish I would have gotten the plus. I did get Ultra and its great but a bit too expensive and heavy
Can u imagine if it drop on your face while in bed while reading 😂 that gotta hurt ... I think I'm gonna get the s23 plus was thinking it's a little bit too small
I am just now waiting for delivery of my Samsung Galaxy S23 plus. I purchased the plus and not the ultra because I am not a fan of the curved screen and I rarely ever used the S-pen so why send an extra $200.
Its a great phone. Had it for a few months but had to go up to the ultra for the display. For me a 1080p display kills it.
Wait it’s 1080p??? Yikes
Had mine since March and it runs perfectly. It's never stuttered, never taken a bad pic, never let me down. Battery life is the best I've ever had on a phone. I do wish it had a QHD display option but its a small grumble about an otherwise superb device.
@jamiel0985 how's the display quality, how you updated the phone to its latest software? And how's the RAM performance?
I'm totally agree with you , It's a shame it has not a QHD display as Ultra , but it works perfectly ,very fluent . I love it !!!😊
@@JoshuaG13I have access to a iPhone 13 and s23 ultra and the s23 ultra has way better ram management but that’s to be expected iPhones are known to close apps all the time.
How do you protect your battery? I fimd myself charging it twice or thrice a day
@@sitiimanina i think your battery is shot... Maybe get it replaced. 4500mah should last atleast 5 hours even with heavy use.
I got the S23 plus 512GB in cream and it's a great phone the shape is better and the flat display is a big YES! I don't use the S-pen never did not even on my previous note series so for me it's not important and the 200 megapixel camera is just a gimmick in my opinion, the both make high quality photo's!
How is the display quality
Ok now im confused on which one to buy s23 or s23plus. I like bigger phones tho
going on rumors the s24 could come with exynos 2400 for europe versions- would the s23 with snapdragon still be better and faster then the exynos or is it too early to tell? im planning to upgrade next year

Planning to order one on my next paycheck it'll be my first big purchase so I'm excited and nervous
Did you later purchase it?

WoW supper impressed with your review NO other reviewer that I have come across has mentioned the lime green in color great job it’s an on line only exclusive color you no your stuff you have no idea how that makes you look compared to the other reviewers that NEVER mention that color because they don’t no it exist !!!! 🤙rock on for knowing your stuff thx for the honest review I have a iPhone 14 and am tired of it I’m ready for change and have been planning and this review along with your s23 vs iphone 14 comparison video helped a lot in making my decision thank you 🙏…..
Such an amazing device , I adore this smartphone a lot! 😊
They fixed the internals, but the S23 is visually bland. On the surface, the 1000$ S23 doesn't look much different to the $100 A14. Samsung boxed themselves into a corner by making all their phones adopt the same generic design. S22 looked 100x better.
Beautiful device . And it looks kinda an iPhone.☺️😍
Yes has an iphone shape
i went to best buy to see phones and when i went up to the iphone the color of the s23+ popped out more than the iphone.
All iphones have 460PPI, other Android devices have 10bit LTPO with dc dimming or higher pwm
But here on S23+ they have 393PPI, 8bit LTPS display with 250pwm and no dc dimming
Father of cost cutting
Samsung lasts longer than other androids tho and about as long as a iPhone even pixels have cheap hardware that fails fast.

At this price the PPI Density of this phone is very low only 390 ppi..... others brand give 460 + ppi
