I’m thrilled that you’ve been adding more content recently! Now that I’ve mastered your “One Pass, 2 Color Brioche” or “Double Knitted Brioche” technique, I’m trying to work out a 2 color cast on in the round. I love your edges on the Cowl you made using the Candle Flame Lapghan chart😍

Wow! How did you discover that Nathan? I always thought SSK a bit of a fiddly procedure. Thank you for sharing. I think you modern, male knitwear designers have a finely tuned brain. To my mind both you and Stephen West have reinvented knitting, creating such stunning designs. I watched in awe as you demonstrated two hand knitting with four strands of yarn. You are a genius. Love it! I do things like this all the time, but never remember how to do it on the next project.

Does the added tension on the second stitch help to moderate the inherent "flabbiness" of the first stitch in the final result?

cool! in the round is the only time i need to do a regular ssk, since i work combination style... but the next time it comes up, i will give it a try... i wonder, though, if it will work with a combination-style K2tog, which is worked more like an SSK, since the stitches are mounted the wrong way... i will try it and report back!

Should be possible for your k2togs as well. Or at least a similar kind of thinking.

Amazing. What kind of needles are you using? They look nice pointy.

So I watched the Zorro method and the easing method of creating neater, tighter SSKs, and wondered whether the Zorro method might be best for more openwork like lace, or for a looser gauge. I am knitting socks on size US 1 needles and have found the Zorro method to be more of a challenge at this gauge than the easing method. Can you say more whether you think one of these two methods is most reliable for creating the neatest decrease line, or if you think they are an interchangeable choice when commencing a project? (I don't mean mixing the methods up in the same project as much as I mean selecting the optimal method for the specific project.)

The Zorro is only really a bit of whimsey: I’m not suggesting it as a beater alternative, just a fun way to do something different. The Easing method, on the other hand, most DEFINITELY is your best option for tightening up wobbly lines of SSKs. And you’re right, Zorro might not be fun at all for knitting at a tight gauge, but for lace and more open-textured fabrics, it can REALLY speed things up when you get used to it.
Oh, and by the way, it’s perfectly possible to implement the easing technique WHILE working the Zorro method, so if you like the Zorro way of doing things, you really can have the best of both worlds.

I sometimes just K2tog thru back loop. Wouldn't that be simpler?
