"Don't worry Harry i won't tell yer Guvnor about it" 😂😂 this show will never get old.
That series was the funniest ever produced. England became familiar with a whole new vocabulary with words like wally, dipstick and plonker. Absolutely first class comedy. By far my favourite series.
Absolute class. We'll never see something this good again.
Totally agree with you. I dont find anything much to laugh at these days. This was comedy class.
Harry 'E's a good bloke, Denzil."
Del. "Good bloke? E's one if the best. One of the very best."
Denzil 'DEL!'
Del "What does that dipstick want now!'
😂😂😂
“It’s unfair to say everything Del touches goes wrong”
KABOOM!! 😂😂
This scene is up there with Del falling through the bar.
"Our coach as just blown up"
@@mattinfullvision9598 (3:05)
I watched this when first screened.
God knows how many times I've watched it and loads of other ofah clips since.
30 years or more and they make me laugh as much as they did that first time
Where this scene was filmed is now a Doctors Surgery. and its Car Park
I live in Margate (have done all my life) Most of this Christmas Special was filmed in the town, there are so many locations that have changed forever and so many reasons to reminisce every time we watch it.
As with all the outdoor scenes off camera there were crowds of people watching.
When the fiming finished all the cast mingled with us bystanders.
The bit towards the end where they arrive home and Rodney gets of the coach and walks into his block of flats is one hundred yards from my house. I was lucky to be able to take several natural shots of them all, they were all happy to engage with the local residents.
Such memories
Millions still enjoy watching this Special,to have seen it actually being made.........priceless !
Pure genius, an English classic.
Superb comedy, funny back in 1989 and even funnier now. My partner, who is sadly no longer with us loved this so much. As much a part of British culture as fish and chips, London Pride, and strawberries and cream at Wimbledon.
This is a genius classic that will stand the test of time and be watched over and over
On GOLD. :P
This entire scene is just perfection 🤣
Rodney's face when he sees the coach blowing up 😁😂

@@christopherdrennan5819 "Don't worry Harry, I won't tell your guv'nor about it."
He's always made the best faces at situations like this.
It was dels fault that the coach blewup it was due to the faulty radio he put in it
The way Rodney says our coach has just blown up 😂😂
Nothing Del touches goes wrong 😂
Those 72 dislikes have had their coach blown up
The dislikes are from idiots who don’t know comedy genius if it did a dance in front of them or people without a sense of humour.
“Ain’t this coach fitted with a fire distinguished?”

Ass holes
What's wrong with those plonkers. Best comedy ever.
Rodney's face is priceless 🤣
It took me way longer than it should have to realise that Harry really was "overcome by fumes" and wasn't just pissed. It was the Albanian radio
"It's unfair to say that everything he touches goes wrong" - oops haha
RIP. Trigger's dolphin.
The greatest special ever. Bar none. Brilliant 🌞
You got to love trigger.
Ain't this coach fitted with a fire distinguisher?
Look I agree that Del get a bit out of hand but I think it's on fair to say that everything he touches goes wrong. 💥
Timing!!🤣

Don't worry 'arry, I won't tell your guv'nor about it.
this is such a classic moment. it must be safe in margate as the fire brigade are very quick!
It's great here. They've got a magician a comedian and a singer. The singer will be on in a minute. Lol
Rodney's face is a picture !

Not a word wasted in the entire episode.

I honestly believe this show is weaved into the Union Jack.
cassandra was kind of cute, i especially liked her in the polce womans uniform.

Good find
No Argument.. THE best episode of Only Fools and Horses
Agree. Before the women are cast and the whole story collapses. Like the coach
This was the best episode for me
They don't make them like this anymore
Unfortunately
BossRoss - the production team bought two idenitical coaches for use in the episode. One coach was used for the scenes of the group travelling to Margate, whilst the other one was blown up in the scenes seen here. Because the exploding coach was a key part of the storyline, it would have posed a problem if the BBC had hired a complete vehicle for the episode and returned it as a burnt-out wreck.
yeah like On The Buses Series 7 moved to a small studio they could fit a double decker in. thought the explosion was bigger
Realistically a faulty radio wouldn't cause a coach to blow up like that as the front end would catch fire slowly but do like how every panel blew off sequentially
The best show ever 🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣
Clever writing, great acting, hilarious
One of the best
Ain't this coach fitted with a fire distinguisher ? Classic
Hahaha, lol! "All right, I agree that sometime Del can get a bit out of hand, but I think it's unfair to say that everything he touches goes wrong", BOOM. lol, so random that rodney says this and then their coach just randomly blows up. Ha!
Superb!!!!
_our coach has just blown up_
He says it so matter of factly as well, as if it's just a normal thing to watch
Alright! Look I agree that Del gets a bit out of hand. But I think it’s unfair to say that everything he touches goes wrong. COACH BLOWS UP. Rodney’s reaction 😂😂

The arm round harry classic
Don't worry Harry I won't tell ya Governor about it

Margates Burning
I think there are two main things you can easily miss which just makes the depth of this comedy golden.
Firstly, Harry was indicated not to be drunk, but had some monoxide poisoning from the radio fumes as he'd sat in front of it for the half the journey taking it in, like he said he only had lemonade in the pub. Initially you glance over it and think, yeah yeah, thats what all drinkers say. 'I dunno what happened, I felt strange, it was as if I'd be overcome by fumes or something!'
Secondly, the actual radio fitted in the coach was one of Dels dodgy ones, and theres a scene which shows him selling the exact same one in the market earlier in the episode. Its not super obvious, but the audience is supposed to presuppose Del Boy sold one of his radios to the coach company, never to miss an opportunity. When Rodney says 'I dont think its fair to say everything he touches goes wrong'... That line hits a deeper level than him just switching it off and catching fire, the whole balls up was connected to Del. Genius comedy. Apologies if you knew all this.
Fucks sake. We know this because we ears and eyes.
Makes a lot of sense. John Sullivan had a real eye for detail which was what made OFAH so good
The question is why Denzil wasn't overcome by the same fumes after he took over the driving for the remainder of the outward journey.
Also why wasn't Harry driving the coach back? At the pub on the way out, Denzil agreed to drive on the condition that Harry drove it home, yet it's Denzil who's in the driver's seat here.
@@davidrobins1021 I don't think he got as much fumes as Harry did. Harry is still not really suitable to drive the bus, so I guess Denzil was persuaded to drive it.
You dickhead,it was not Carbon Monoxide,if it was thst Harry wpuld have been instantly as Carbon Monoxide is a silent and deadly and instant killer
Hilarious 😂

Simply Red blew up their coach
Would’ve been even better if it was playing A New Flame 😂
I've only just realised that Harry probably felt strange because of the smoke coming from the radio 🤣
It was not the smoke that caused it it was the fumes as Mike mentions the Radio sits directly above the Fuel line
And Riddies found the one and only public phone in 89 that actually has the longer pips for the money
just as i read comment my speakers went boom irony!
Don’t worry Harry I won’t tell your guvnor about it. HAHAHAHA
@RyanGillam Correct. 1989 Christmas Special.
Simply Red Move On Out playing in the background

what does that dipstick want lmao
Coaches are suppose to be fitted with a fire extinguisher as standard but it may not have been. Also a rear emergency door at the back and the back window should pop out if a handle turned but they panicked and fled out the main exit right past the radio fire. It looks like it caught the fuel line too in the end when the back also went up in flames but it may have been the brake fluid that was more flammable as the coach fuel would usually be diesel not petrol.. Response to article only.
@@timbuckley8826 No shit sherlock. Joking is illegal now is it?
@@timbuckley8826 there is no such thing as that on a coach only the giant lorries and trucks have that

Coach has 24 volt electrics Radio 12 volts what could possibly go wrong?
It is due to the fact that as Mike mentions the petrol line runs right underneath where the radio and all the other part at the front of the coach are
@@stephensnell1379 that’s the only let down, the fact that the coach is diesel and there wouldn’t be any fuel line running under the radio but that’s just me being picky
