Drilling large aquariums isn't easy. See the aftermath for yourself. Check out our updated video of drilling these tanks and see if our method actually worked: ruclips.net/video/p94iyg6F7f0/видео.html
Thanks all for watching the progress of this 125 gallon fish room build! A huge shout out to TOSOT Direct for hooking us up to help with our water issues. It means a lot. Check them out if you are in the market for a super quiet dehumidifier: www.amazon.com/dp/B07B4WHPMF
Nice set up! And Good luck! I tried drilling my 135 gallon reef tank and it exploded on me. Luckily I was good friends with the maker of tank and got another for half price. Mine actually have stamps on all bottom corners around the tank saying tempered.
I don't understand why aqueon can't tell you if their tanks are tempered? I've drilled aqueon 75 and 55 gallon tank before but I was drilling blind and still have no idea if they were or were supposed to be tempered, it worked though!!! Good luck Rob I hope you get them all no issue cracks or anything, that's alot of tanks!!!
The dark lines with the tempered glass test doesn't always work. Some panes of glass are hardened and don't have those dark bands in the center of the panes. You have to look along the edges for those dark bands running parallel to the edges. Very easy to miss and it is possible to drill these panes of glass all the way, but they could shatter at any moment. Newer phones don't have the same level of polarizing that older phones did. Find an old laptop or phone for best results. Then use a solid white screen at full brightness. My favorite lenses to use are the 3D theater glasses at IMAX movies. Pop out those lenses. The polarity is stronger than most sun glasses and each lenses is set at 90 degrees apart. Then use a flashlight to shine through both of them with the glass between the two lenses.
Hi Rob iwas just wondering do you guys ship to the uk as I like the way you keep your shrimp and not sure of any up sellers that do care the same way thank you
My 60g is tempered from Marineland. I’d never have the courage to drill a brand new tank! I would like to try having a sump though..... I suppose there’s no good way to do that without an overflow
Lily A. I dont really like drilling tanks either, on my saltwater tank I bought a lifereef overflow, which has never EVER lost siphon, even if the power goes out!
Bro,.. flexseal won't hold up long term,.. well it didn't for me. U prolly need to get the roll on water barrier for waterproofing basements. Lowes has it for like $95 for 5gallon bucket. A penny for your thoughts,....
Rob.. was wondering why anchor the tank stands to the top when you could just screw legs from the bottom of the stand to the floor and use aluminum angle iron and bolt them to the concrete floor

I like painted backs but vinyl is a huge time and $ saver on big tanks and Its not permanent. you should consider it, it comes out nice!
13 min of talk and no drilling. Man I was hoping to see at least one hole drilled.
Cool trick with the polarized glasses. Cant wait to see this room up and running! Keep up the great work guys and God Bless!
Im so happy with your success Rob!

I’m looking to do something similar but with 12 125s. Can you buy the tanks directly from aqueon or do you need to go through a dealer?
Hey did the dehumidifiers work?

wooo! Great feedback. Thanks for the comment and suggestion! We will attempt it today and hopefully get them drilled ASAP

Aqueon bottoms on big tanks should be Tempered and the sides should be regular glass.
Awesome
Awesomeness
Can’t wait to see my shrimp come in the mail. 🙏🏼

Hope all goes well I seen what happened when Dustin accidently drilled a tempered glass tank the ending was so broken!
Why not put all the tanks on the racks and then paint and drill?
Haven't heard from you. really want to buy from you. Is there a way to get a hold of you directly?

Jeff is wanted by the FBI.

👍
I saw Jeff’s face!! 🤫🤭
Couldn’t set the camera up on a tripod and help them carry the pond 😉😂
10th view and first comment, im so honored! Great work, looking good!
Boy, I do not envy you today.
down load white screen on phone makes it easer to see.
Couldn't Aqueon just confirm what type of glass it is?
Rene Decquir no because they use whatever glass they can get their hands on.
No paint
Ruined a perfect opportunity to say ”Pivot”
B.S.
did u drill it or not 90% of video is nonsense
Of course we did. Still going strong 3 yrs later ;)
I was hoping to see the actual drilling I am interested in that
