In this video, I decided to try and slow it down with shiny hunting in Scarlet and Violet, and instead try a different type of shiny hunt: the fixed encounter soft resets! Instead, this backfired as the game decided to give me my FASTEST FULL ODDS SHINY EVER!

My fastest hunt was my first ever hunt. 12 year old me who played a lot of Pokemon and had never seen a shiny said to myself I want a shiny treecko in emerald (back then I didn’t know emerald had broken RNG) only 6 resets later he shined.
That’s insane! Good thing you got it so fast you probably wouldn’t have found it otherwise!
Congrats on the fast Klawf shiny! My fastest shiny hunt was a full odds Litwick in the Motostoke Gym at 63 encounters. I also had a really fast like under 100 encounter Falinks on that same Shield save. My fastest 8192 odds hunt was Treecko in Sapphire at 135 soft resets. So pretty good luck.

A few years ago, after SRing for a week for FRLG bulbasaur I got it, decided to start going for another for my living dex after transferring the shiny, 126 later another bulbasaur shined. Then after getting my pokeballs and Pokédex, a wild shiny pidgey appeared on my way to the Pokémon center. Must have only been like 5 random encounters since getting the second shiny starter. And that’s how my shiny hunting journey began. All same day mind you.
That’s a crazy way to get into shiny hunting!
My fastest was a purrloin in black 2 at around 300 REs. Unfortunately, this lead to one of my longest phase hunts at 16 phases for a venipede.

My fastest full odds shiny hunt was back when pokemon emerald was only about a year old. I decided that I really wanted a shiny Treecko, so I started to shiny hunt. I was determined I didn't care how many eggs I needed to hatch. It only took 6 eggs. lol. I was excited because this was the first pokemon I purposefully went hunting for.
That’s amazing! Gen 3 egg hunts are so tough too that’s a crazy one to get that quick!
I love these vids man, but can i suggest getting a new mic, or adjusting settings? Your mic tends to get very bass boosted
does anyone know if the ko reset save reset method works for overworld terrestal pokemon the glowing ones on the maps!?
This method I used works the same with the terra Pokémon around the map. The only difference is that you need to wait a bit longer for them to spawn in and you don’t have to be far away from them for them to spawn when you load the game up!

Anyway, even though I wasn’t technically “hunting” it, one of the fastest shinies I found was a shiny Kyurem from Alpha Sapphire after resetting just once when the first one I encountered refused to be caught and made me use too many balls. I took no chances with that shiny and just ended up using the Master Ball on it lol.
That’s awesome! I had a similar experience with crabrawler in my Moon copy! I went to grab berries and a crabrawler jumped out at me. I ran away and then immediately after realized I needed to either catch or KO the crabrawler in order to access the berries, so I went back into the battle and it was shiny the next time! Still no where near as cool as a Kyurem though!
My fastest hunt was in SV, got a Vaporeon in an outbreak after knocking out only 3. I also had a time in GO during a GO Fest where the first Pokemon I checked was a shiny Anorith.

3 Shiny Nosepass (Adamant, Jolly, & Lonely natures, Back-to-Back), as it was on Friday, November 10, 2023, in Pokémon Scarlet, in Paradise Barrens (The Land of Kitakami), without using a Shiny Rock-Type Meal Power, as they all just showed up, naturally, sometimes mistaken for a Regular Kantonian Sandshrew.

accidently i found a shiny granbull in moon and my game crashed. first shiny i found/failed. i did find a shiny pikipek and i evolved it into a toucannon, first i ever caught (Maybe my fomantis? I need to see the dates haha)
My first shiny is on a cartridge I don’t have anymore so I feel your pain! I’m gonna try to reclaim it at some point! Maybe one day you’ll find Granbull again!

My fasted was back in sh when I was breeding a torchic for competitive play and in the second egg it came out shiny, I was hunting years ago when I was 14 for it in oras but I didn’t knew about masuda method I tried it on sh and I got it, unfortunately I lost the game file along with the shiny so I no longer have it ;w;
That’s crazy! But I’m sorry you don’t have the game anymore? Did you just lose your cartridge or did you delete the save off your switch?
@@ThedomiNATIONsomeone stole my old switch and when I got a new one I still had the cartridge but the game file was gone i didn’t know how to get my old file back and I had to start from zero, all my progress was gone as well as in home
@@Poisonsoul0298 oh that’s terrible, yeah save data is saved to your switch and not your cartridge unfortunately. I hope if you decide to rehunt the torchic you get it quick again!

That’s awesome! One of my shiny dratini came randomly from the game corner when I was simply looking for a specific nature! It was super fast but I wasn’t hunting it so I don’t count it as one of my fastest!
I hoope im gona to bee in your stream soon. it would be good if vi could turn it on and off. but im a pokemon charm guy. sometimes would be fun to make a challenge. sometimes
I really wish they let us toggle the shiny charm on or off! Even someone like me who prefers full odds, sometimes there’s certain hunts or methods I want to do that make more sense to attempt with a shiny charm but it sucks having to make multiple save files for it!
