It looks like Bungie nuked regular control. It was checkmate before Iron Banner, it's checkmate now and it's checkmate next week. They claimed this was going rotate. It doesn't look like it is now. I'm sick of checkmate, the TTK changes are stupid. I really miss the regular control game mode. I don't know why they had to ruin checkmate with the health changes. It would have been perfect with just fewer abilites and heavy. You can't use EP on 140's and three tap, the TTK values are different on everything. 120"s don't two head one body without precision instrument which you can only get on a trials weapon. It's bullshit.

I put this on, and it instantly reminded me of how d1 thorn felt. I would love to put killing wind on it, but i always run 100 mobility in pvp anyways, so i use quickdraw. It also feels like its got a weird amount of hipfire accuracy
I don't know if you heard about this, but they also introduced a subtle factor called deterministic recoil while you were gone, so that not all weapons of the same archetype feel the same and just have a different "flavor"
I was pleasantly surprised by this HC. I'm not really into PVP by any means but what matches I did play with it, it blew me away at how accurate it could be. I was even landing shots that I probably shouldn't have, frankly. Archetype aside there's just something, I can't put my finger on it, but _something_ about the reskinned standard D1 HC models that just feel so good to use (Fatebringer, The Devil You Know; Not forgotten and Luna's Howl to an extent).

I crafted mine with an identical roll to yours last season. I had to put counterbalance on it because deterministic recoil felt weird to me but I can vouch for this thing, it feels excellent.
I'm always curious if these recommendations can go the distance when the background gameplay has so many enemy guardians missing shots and walking slowly in a straight line at the player. 😅

Literally every single shot for me lol I fully crafted it enhanced with this combo before even firing a shot on it and it only took me three or four games to literally shard it, not even back into my vault, just a straight shard. Glad it works for some people, but Not me
Yeah I did mine exacly like yours except I went enhanced quickdraw. Theres somthing about quickdraw WITH eye of storm that just fills all the roles a proper 140 should. Eye for dueling and landing shots and quickdraw for ANY swap combo/clean up u wish. Just such a damn good 140. I got like 1.8k pvp kills on mine from last season alone. Such a good feeling hc and the sound just brings it all together. 😂😂🎉🎉
Fallout Plays inspired me to craft this gun and it never fails to meet my expectations. With that exact roll, it's a workhorse, but helps get the job done.

TV, You should definitely check out the Epochal Integration legendary Hand Cannon from Lightfall, it's absolutely phenomenal, and it's curated, just like with the Eidalon Ally, it is what it is. No insane grinding for god rolls necessary
I never got a good quickdraw rose...now after using kept confidence with quickdraw eots i dont think ill even bother trying. Kept confidence just FEELS right.

Was so excited for this HC, I love it, look, sound, feel, but I wasn't looking for another PvP 140, and it's got nothing at all to offer PvE (like it's a strand HC but it got none of the strand goodness I guess because Round Robin already got them? Meanwhile we have two adaptive Stasis snipers that both got stasis perks), so with much disappointment I scrapped mine and probably won't recraft.
Xur has a god roll hawkmoon right now. Max range with heavy grip. 67 range, 63 stability and Eye of the storm. I was waiting for this one, I had a full bore one with a handling grip. This one is perfection.
A couple of others I watch have both said the Hawkmoon this week is really good. I'll probably get it as I don't have one and have been waiting on a good one.@@asianboi000001

I play on crucible strictly on PC so personally while playing with a sniper i prefer quickdraw so if i get a body shot and can just snap a headshot in with the HC super fast but what it comes down to is preference
I went Quickdraw EOTS. If I want an extra two meters I'll move forward for half a second. Quickdraw has clutched more duels than KW. Also, Heliocentric with small bore, Accurized, moving target & precision instrument is so good I feel it's going to be nerfed
@@Drewp69huebos Like almost any combo. I like triple tap n opening shot. You can get snapshot n Zen Moment. Outlaw n Rangefinder. Outlaw n Demolitionist. Opening shot n Rangefinder. You really can't go wrong with any combination on Austringer. It just feels that good. Get use to it shot and recoil pattern and you'll be enjoying yourself.
@@derek3154 for reference, I have a really nice Rose: RH / EOTS / Accurised / Fluted / Range MW, and my crafted KC feels just as good, if not better. Must be something to do with the +5 stab from enhanced EOTS, and the thin model. Perfect HC to practice with, especially with 100 mobility Strand Hunter, cheaper harmonic mods and ability to strafe.
Smallbore, accurized rounds, and a range masterwork (Unlocks somewhere in the teens) and then at level 20 it gets a +2 bump to all stats but range, hope this helps 👍
I feel like Kept Confidence is just a little...same-y. It does feel like Eyasluna, but tbh, I have a Perp. Motion/Moving Target with only 5 range less than TV's KC roll, 3 less stability, the same handling, more reload and aim assist and perks that activate instantaneously instead of relying on kills. It's kind of just hard to justify using a weapon like this when I have something that does the same job without grinding.
Except the Eyasluna does also require grinding and is a random roll drop. Kept Confidence can be crafted and the patterns can be gotten very easily. So idk, I think its just good we have more usable options.
Igneous ruined 140s for me, I started to rely heavily on the impact and range of 120s that I can’t stand the damage drop off of 140s and their ability to not 2 head 1 body guardians.
And it couldn't possibly be tuning behind the curtains to make people grind for the next thing that is just like the last thing but somehow better for no reason. Only to pull that special sauce a season later and those shots just don't land like last season.....
When this gun first came out everyone was hyping it up now nobody uses it. I need to put this bad boy back on. But since rose came back as a focusable weapon nobody uses Kept Confidence anymore

Non godroll rose plus without explosive as well that has 70 range still more consistent than kept confidence….. buttttt… rose has a vert recoil, Kept confidence has a slight drag to left making follow up shots miss, which is why it feels bad
Even with counter balance mod it’s still drifts left due to recoil, again why I do not recommend this hc, as an ascendant console player who mains hc’s, I always chooses consistency perks for pure dueling…. Afterall, chaining perks are nice but if you’re already dunking on people…. You only really need consistency and kept confidence ain’t it for console players. It’s not bad, but by no means a top s+ tier hc. If you are mnk, this hc will do since it can hit 80 range and recoil pattern isn’t a serious factor like on controller.
The gun kicks way too much I’ve tried every hand cannon and i miss the most with this one… literally missed so many shots in this video same as all the other players using it🤣 good video tho not hating

Vanguard you need to convince Bungie to bring back regular control. The old control mode is gone now and it's been replaced with Checkmate. They said it would rotate but It's checkmate next week after it was this week. We have no decent 6x6 game mode anymore.
Take it into trials rather than farming connection based quickplay matches. Then we'll talk. It can't go up against a Rose with slides hot & EP unless you're on Hunter with arachnes

I run max range, eots and killing wind with a counter balance mod on it, it kicks straight up and makes it so easy to follow up shots. Great weapon.

Is killing wind really worth it over QD if you’re on max mobility? Like I feel like QD makes it a much better pairing with a sniper or a shotgun

You can select normal control if you select the node.
First of all one RUclipsr can't just TELL them to do something lol. And besides you can already change to normal control..
