I came for the tape instructions and then became too invested in that background conversation when I heard, "I never liked your paintings." That hurt more than my sprained ankle!

The first two strips alone, pulled less tightly, are enough to hold my chronically sprained, loose ankle. The point of KT Tape is not to immobilize. It is meant to support joints and tendons, to allow relatively unimpaired function while the injury heals. If you want to completely limit mobility, other materials can do that much more affordably.

I really like this KT tape application for being able to run on a sprained ankle (or peroneal tendonitis in my case), I tried an ankle brace previously and it was just didn't have enough "give" to allow running with it. My only complaint is that these KT tape strips are WAY longer than the standard pre-cut size that rolls come in, so if you use the pre-cut strips then you won't be able to get anywhere near as far up the ankle as he is in the video. Instead you have to purchase the continuous tape rolls and cut the strips yourself, which is fine except that each application takes 4 strips so you end up going through a ton of tape.

I had a grade 2 sprain a few years back. I remember having someone massage my bruised swollen ankle like a day after and RIGHT after that i tried to wrap over the swelling myself. I had no idea what i was doing and ended up wrapping my ankle too tightly ( causing myself a tone of soreness ) AND i hadn't realized until after i was done wrapping that i did not have my foot completely straighten as it was favored very slightly in the angle that i had sprained it which SUCKED b/c i was sore as hell!

Can this tape be used for leg strength in gout-suffering people? Coz my right foot is soooo painful, I can't even get out of bed sometimes and when the pain subsides a tiny bit and tried to walk, it's always excruciatingly painful and always ended up shifting all my weight to my left side of the body. As a result of that, my knees are now both in pain. So can this tape be used to help my right foot feel better(not aching so much) so I can still walk normally? Coz right now, I'm limping😭😭
