Had a grade one sprain last week was able to play this week thanks to your example of how to tape up ankle. My ankle felt secured and I was able to play soccer and not be so worried while playing.
Yeah and you don't need it for every match, just for kinda bigger league games or stuff if you know you are gonna stress your ankle more due to competitiveness etc. esp. if you just came off an ankle injury or strained your ankle and had DOMS or pain after the last game, just so it doesn't risk as much injury going forward. (most injuries are caused by lack of precaution and ignoring symptoms)

High-Top canvas shoes (Converse, Vans, etc.) are good because they "mold" to your ankles. Would be nice if they would make some "High-Top" soccer shoes for playing on the grass. I'm over 60 and played soccer all my life. Had been a really good offensive player but my ankles are in really bad shape. Nowadays, even stepping on a small pebble can sprain my ankle. Wearing High-Top canvas shoes helps a lot.

Can I use this in preference to the elastic cloth ankle braces bought in the pharmacy? My son plays junior tournament tennis. He had in fact attained a ligament strain 2 1/2 years ago and required therapy for three months. His orthopaedic recommended absolutely no physical activity. No swimming, walking on beach etc. He has resumed play. I understand there may be an apprehension to actually state the brands and type of tape in sequence that you have done so in this demonstration but is it at possible to do so, so that I can order in bulk for other tennis athletes we coach?

Ga B it depends on the type and severity of the injury whether this brace will work. Some cheaper braces are pointless and don't support your ankle at all. Tape is always the better way to go as it is certian to completely stabilise your ankle. Although it is best to probably go see a physiotherapist if your ankle and/or foot is still causing you pain as there may be something else needed to treat your injury and/or some stregenthening exercises. I'm speaking from experience here btw.
I am suffering from fifth metatarsal Jones fracture. Dr. Had put primary plastor for 5 days after that he had put permanent fiber plastor. And told me that after 3-4 days rest you can move and do your daily activities. Is it good or not and I am totally confused. And mentally exhausted, please guide.

I can walk and run (to an extent), and my ankle feels fine 90% of the time But I can’t put any weight behind a ball. I feel like it’s still unstable (well I haven’t touched a ball in about 2 days and I don’t want to test it out). I have try outs on Monday for my school team, so yeah, I’m gonna wrap my ankle for that ankle support 👍🏼

If you buy light enough tape, it’s a little stiff but definitely possible. Regular white athletic tape doesn’t work tho because it’s too stiff and gives you no mobility with your ankle.

Most of the ankle Sprains I see in footy are people wearing non artificial grass boots and roll ankles because of the unstable base. Worth the investment !

Idris Ozovehe I used pre-wrap and then athletic tape. It takes a few tries to get it right but once you get the hang of it, it's awesome :)

Dislocated my ankle 2 days ago playing soccer. If i had done this, would it have stopped it from happening?
