I would love to know so much more about this setup ive never seen one on a 4wd 88-98 gm the biggest problem with offroading one with the stock setup is the torsion bars blow and the suspension has no travel.
Do you guys know any info on this Tahoe, or at least know who the owner or Builder was...I've got a '96 Tahoe I would love to put a Long Travel suspension on and would like to get a reputable and willing shop that could do a build similar to this!
I just bought a 1990 Ford Bronco 4x4 from a neighbor across the street from me for $500. Needs work obviously but amazingly enough I managed to get it on after 9 years of not driving it. I am thinking on doing this project to the Bronco. Also for the record who thumbs down this video 😒!
What is the lift size, shock size, and what rear extended diff did you use on your build. Looks sweet, I have a 2001 and barely learning and don’t know where to start. There are no bolt on parts.
Expensive. Maybe. Street Queen. No. If you notice the skid plate on the front, It's not straight like it was when it was installed. It gets used and sometime abused. (RUclips: Glamis Thanksgiving 2011 Killer Tahoe)
Very nice build, incredibly attention to details and the overall design. I've seen photos of this truck before, but never a video. Are there any videos of this rig in action?? I'd love to see this unique truck and a build thread on GMC4x4.com - definitely check us out.
Here's a video of him using it!! his cousin (CKRaceCraft) built the tahoe, which has an extensive list of custom work, and the little silver buggy after the tahoe in this video...Tahoe is at 8:13 in this video!! Search: Mount Baldy Hill Climb Fall 2012 /w Crazy Passes on RUclips! cuz it wont let me paste the direct link!
yep yep right now its bone stock with a little motor work and a tune i eventually want a long travel lift 33s fiberglass flared fenders and a roll cage problem is i work on cars for a living so that means i cant afford to work on my own even if i did i never have any time
street queen? it clearly shows him in the dunes. I cant stand when ignorant people see a clean rig that built with detail and deemed a mall crawler becuase of it. Even if it was just a "street queen", its their money, sweat, and blood that built it. Not yours. Therefore they can do as they please with THIER own creation
BustedKnuckleVideo looks like it! Perfectly clean. When I go out mine in dirty before I even get to camp. But I have a pair of ball though. Obviously this guy doesn't have much of.......
BustedKnuckleVideo there is only 2 reasons you would have not seen it move, it was broke or he got too drunk to drive it that day! But then you would have seen it another day! Mmmmm que la
One thing, but if one is going to do or have done all of that custom work, why not do it with a brand-new Tahoe? I mean that's some serious work, I highly doubt any backyard mechanic-type did that, even if they knew how, it would still cost a ton and take very long. So if going to spend a lot of money on a full custom, might as well do it to a newer vehicle I'd think...?All that said, it is nonetheless a very nice vehicle, and that particular blocky designed Tahoe has a very nice classic look to it that won't ever go out of style. Just like the older K5s.
I'm doing a custom equal length 5 over extended twin kingpin bent I beam setup and moly 4 link on a 97 tahoe with a big turbo 408, 4l80e and Currie 9" with 35 spline Currie offroad axles right now. it's all about what the owner likes. I love my truck and it's got more interior room than most new trucks. should be around the 800 hp Mark with 20 ish inches of travel. tribute truck to my late mothers who loved offroading. it's a 4 Dr 2wd. should be fun on the dirt or blazing clouds of smoke off the rear tires when the e boost 2 is kicked up to 10-15 psi. It's something different that you won't see every day like a taco or ranger. this will get ya noticed at an offroad meet in line with 15 Tacomas 15 Rangers and a bunch of silvys and f150s/f100s.
+ShamusMcFisty That sounds very cool. I am a newb to 4x4s, so I don't quite understand everything you said, but I understand some of it and it all sounds very neat. Best of luck!
this video just made me rethink my whole build... i was gonna go straight axle like everyone else but man, id rather go fast...
who ever built this thing needs to make a production kit of it, would make a lot of money if they did so for 88-98 1500 pickups
yeah its badass
There is a production kit, $3500
whos kit? all the kits i see are for 2wd
Ya who makes this kit I have a 95 2 door and would love to read up on this Guys build
HPICamaroSS these kind a trucks are usually 2wd

Who needs clearance when you can jump stuff?
I would love to know so much more about this setup ive never seen one on a 4wd 88-98 gm the biggest problem with offroading one with the stock setup is the torsion bars blow and the suspension has no travel.

+lee thompson this one is all custom
Did you have to buy everything separately how much did it run you if you don't mind me asking do you have a parts list and where I can get everything
+lee thompson he built everything himself
+Dgit-Faytal do u know if he sells them
that is COOL!
Expensive street queen
I want it!!!
+Joshua French its bad
what fender flares are those
wide ones lol. no idea
Seems like Bushwacker cut out fenders
killer? hardly! no action shots.. what did it kill?
unique setup
I agree it looks good..was hoping for action shots to see if it can handle as good as it looks.
What good is it if its all site and no go? We need proof it works as good as it looks!
*show
Cool

this tahoe is amazing the only dislike I have about it is the back
I dig it
Ignorant comment! :)
No need to be any higher. It has 22" of travel on the rear 18" on the front.
maybe if you stripped it. Weight doesnt help things fly.
Id daily drive this thing.
Why no action shots?
How do I get this dash for my 1999 suburban
Good luck
those fenders :O
cool. you gunna do a long travel kit or build your own?
Sucks there was never a video of it ripping
agreed!
low and wide.
truth.
me too!
cant find kits anywhere for a 03 s10 so probably build my own
that is one hell of a paintjob i would say about 5 grand just for that
Kustom.
I’d buy that set up in a heart beat!!
Let me know where i can get it!
SICK TAHOE!!
It is impressive for sure
So does it preform or just look pretty? Where the video of it doing something
Never saw it move.....
BustedKnuckleVideo looks like it! Perfectly clean. When I go out mine in dirty before I even get to camp. But I have a pair of ball though. Obviously this guy doesn't have much of.......
Just because I didn't see it move doesn't mean anything

Look it up they have one somewhere I've seen it. This thing is awesome. What I want mine to be like.

+Kyle Blank he might have done it back when this was a new tahoe
BustedKnuckleVideo I see.
