Baggies were always my storage solution choice. A good insert can be great but I also liked sorting the components by player color and having per-made baggies to speed up the deployment of the game. Now, if they could make eco-friendly baggies, that'd be awesome. Maybe they do and I don't know about it.

The game (you so kindly didn’t name) that has that weird tri fold card insert thing; is the only game I have bought a professional insert for. I managed to store most of my games horizontally without stacking on special shelves, but I know that not everyone has the room for that sort of shelving. Otherwise all your ideas are implemented in my games space one way or another, and they are all useful… Whole game sleeves and game bands are another way to hold your boxes shut tight for vertical storage and transport. Oh…and putting the left over punchboard under the inserts to raise the components so the slide around less. Thanks for the tips you wonderful people!!
Lol, ya we didn't publicly shame the game, but it is quite a "bear" of an insert 😆.... Great tip about the used punch boards. They are great for bringing the insert up enough so the lid holds everything in place better.
@3:36 you mention that on BGG there is a Mast List of all the games and what model number Plano boxes fit in each game. I am trying to find this list. Can you provide a link to this list please?

I love hardware and dollar store containers and even Wal-Mart and Micheals craft storage. I'm a Feld fan and I love to get those games out quick so containers work so well for the bits and tiles. BGG has little bags for Castles of Burgundy, so cute and useful.

True, but the new Viticulture essential edition insert is amazing. They've done a great job upgrading it. Ya, there are definitely don't beautiful after market inserts out there. Ha ha ha, I think most of us can admit we are not only board game collectors, but also ziplock bag collectors too 😆... Thanks for watching♥️

Canopy used paper envelopes for all of the components.
@@TheNerdShelves That's the way to go. People can write on paper envelopes (or do custom artwork if so inclined) to identify the contents.

I always put silica gel packs in with my cardboard for moisture and smell. Can buy 1000 at a time.

Viticulture's was the first insert I threw out because it's worse than nothing. Folded Space inserts are great! I have a box full of surplus zipbags.
