I also really liked Lords of the ring Duel and the White Castle. Other games Slay the Spire, the Gang, River Valley Glassworks, Reef Project, World Wonders, and Marvel Champion the card game. Happy new year 🎉

I just love TWC, really need the Matcha expansion. And Harmonies has been such a hit and for good reason! Also loved that Michael cheated with Fall Flavors 🤭🤭 it really deserved it. Also love SS&P! And Knarr!! Michael we should play on BGA!! Such cool games, and fast! As a mother of 3, I love my euros but really appreciate quick games that you can play in a small time. Love for Nova Roma! I've been seeing it mentioned a lot in many Top 2024 lists! And I remembered you played it and hadn't seen that live pt yet, so I was about to do that. New viewer here. I love this blokes energy - it doesn't seem fake or forced unlike most youtubers speaking at a million words a minute. I also love how his missus is the counter to that.. the staid, steady and calming presence. You two work great together.

Three years later I'm watching this after just purchasing Quacks 2 days ago and my rulebook does not state anything about starting with a ruby. I can't find any errata on it either so I'm assuming they removed that from the later edition(s).

Nice video - totally agree with Judie on the Thematic front - to create an ecosystem you HAVE to compost, water, plant, grow etc etc - they are exactly the actions that you should be doing in this game. I don't know how much more thematic you could make it. The colours don't matter - they are just to separate the thematic actions. Fog (2.53) - the card explains it, "tiny water droplets" ... what helps things grow?... water! That's why you get a sprout and the tree growth. Anywho - like i said great video. :-)

Yay! Amazing first episode for this series! Joana and I had just learnt how to play 7 Wonders Duel a couple of weeks ago and enjoy it a lot. We kept seeing this game and were wondering if it would replace it? I’m not massively into LotR myself, Joana is more than me - but your video has really solidified that we both want and would both love this (not to replace the other, but to have alongside) Really great video that was fun to see 🥰

I jus watched the honey buzz playthrough and here Michael only rank the game at 22...i am surprised since he hyped up the game so mcuh. Wonder where would it rank if combined with the expansion

Setup missed rule: each side gets two starting army units on the board. 2 in Arnor, and 2 in Mordor.

A couple of minor rule errors. The race ability at 27:57 gives you 2 times the discard amount, not 2 plus, hence the "2x" on the shield. It didn't affect the outcome, but the Sauron player only got five coins for a discard instead of six because of this error in the third era. (An error in an era, amirite?) And at 33:58 both of you thought the second race ability taken "straight up gives you 3 coins". It only gives you three coins each time you gain a card through chaining symbols. As this ability was not taken, it didn't affect anything. But nice clear presentation, and playthroughs are always fun!

TIGRIS & EUPHRATES, RA, AMUN-RE,MEDICI, TAJ MAHAL,SAMURAI, THROUGH THE DESERT..i could go on....thats more amazing games than other designers entire bodies of work...

love this game...alot of mini games but just concentrate on the mosaic board because if you place all 7 tokens on it...u can get around 50vp
