This weekend we were looking to find some fish to eat.
I support catch & release but guys don't feel bad for keeping a fish or two.
I'll be honest, i don't like the taste of fish, i'm okay if i have fish once or twice a year, but my family loves it.
We had the same plan for both days, scratch for a fish on low, and then go to the surf and look for a washed open hole.
CONSERVATION
Steenbras takes about 5- 6years to reach maturity at around 60-65cm full length, so please consider putting them back especially the under size fish.
For a lot of anglers a decent size White Steenbras is a trophy fish, it's really a beautiful fish.. and i know it takes a lot of time, patience and effort in catching one of them, so the decision remains yours as i can only encourage you.
The white Steenbras is now critically endangered and is about to become a 'No Keep' specie in South Africa.
FISH SUSTAINABLY
... what does that mean??
*Keep it under control,
1.Know what fish are breeding stock
2.Slow growing species
3.Red list, and endangered species
*Keep only what you're going to consume, and don't fill the deep
freeze..rather eat it fresh
*A way that avoids the depletion of natural resources.

Hi, haha no i cant do that, but maybe a video on water reading or something like that. Nw and South east is good winds for Bettys. For Steenbras the wind is not the most important factor👌

Use the technique and practice . The finger is based on feel and practice start off with small cast and grow from there
