Adam is an inspiration to me to never give up and keep working hard to reach my goals . Even though I can't be a climber but his dedication, passion and commitment inspire me to do my stuff. Díky brother !
@@graystone2802 I think it was more about chalk dust getting in the air and being easy to inhale from holds a lot of people would be using, hence why the gyms closed, and for the hiking side the extra stress on emergency services making mountain rescue far more difficult. I get that it may feel like overreacting but the decision came in place before the extent of this was fully understood so I'll stick to it until otherwise informed, as everybody I know here is doing
I just watched Knockout and was thinking 2 minute videos were what I had the attention to watch this morning, but the filming and editing in this was so good. This made a really good story. It was nice to see just your climbing, but also nice to hear commentary at the end.
I really like the intense, ambitious feel your videos have. Far more interesting and motivating than the 'hippie-style' bouldering/climbing videos that are out there imo. Theyre also so well done and beautifully shot! Best Greetings from switzerland (still in lockdown😷...)
A lot of people might be really put off by Adams “tantrums” as you might call them, but for me it’s the opposite, it does 2 things precisely, 1- it makes Adam more human, for some people (like me) it can be easy to fall into the misconception that he is a living god, an untouchable legend, and while he does share many qualities with those things, he is only just a human. Everyone fails and gets upset when they do and if they say otherwise they are lying, Adam could have easily edited out that anger and “fit” he had but he left it in to show us it’s ok to fail no matter what level you are at. And 2- It shows us how damn passionate and committed Adam is to climbing, it’s not a “classic legendary benchmark boulder”, it’s a little known boulder only a few months old, only a few people care or know that he did it, but Adam still shows the same level of focus and determination as he does on say Silence or the Dawn wall. He gives climbing his 100% every single try on everything he climbs, he gives climbing his all and in turn he is rewarded for in the send. He is so passionate about his climbing it is like he was born to do nothing else but climb, and he is still like a child in a candy store when he finds and test the boulder, and like a child without his candy when he falls, (in a good way) could you picture TC or Alex Honnold flipping out like this? No, that’s because they are not as committed to pure rock climbing as Adam Ondra is, that’s why he climbed 9c and the others couldn’t, TC and Alex don’t give their all to sport climbing, they do trad, crack, big wall, alpinism , and lots of adventures not necessarily involving climbing, and that’s why Adam is the worlds best sport climber and will continue to be until someone repeats and then establishes a route harder than Silence, it like repeating silence is simply passing the second place runner in a race, you are not first, you are still second, if you pass the first place ie: establishing 9c+ then you will be the best.
i agree with much of what you have said but i don't think someone has to put up a 9c+ to be considered better than Ondra in the future. hypothetically what if someone has just as many 9a and harder routes as Ondra but completes Silence in a handful of sessions. I can't remember exactly how long it took adam to complete silence but if someone can finish it significantly quicker than him while having a similar resume it puts them in the conversation as better than him.
You make it seem like childish temper tantrums are a prerequisite for being the best and/or most dedicated. I'd like to introduce you to a guy named Roger Federer. The greatest ever. Absolutely legendary work ethic and dedication. No screaming, no stomping his feet like an angry toddler. If you look around to other greats in sport, there's no pattern of tantrum behavior. And no one questions the other greats' commitment or dedication when there's a lack of temper tantrums. Adam climbs like a total champion, but the temper tantrums are just a lack of self awareness or control over himself. They don't help.
Lol all of you need to chill .. Can we just enjoy a climb and not overdescribe it please .. I couldn’t stop laughing at the tantrum, bless Adam though 🤜🤛
@@iclimbhard510 Look, I love climbing. When there's not a pandemic, I climb 2-3 times a week and go climbing outdoor as often as possible. I was also a college tennis player. man he just try to climb the boulder and gets mad because he can't do it in the first time. these elitist thinking and overinterpreting in climbing is so far off. this man just trys to climb a fucking rock and its god damn fun
I said it on the previous episodes and I'll say it again: I hope AO won't ever join the circus MM has become... He barely climbs hard or outdoors anymore.

Adam, my personal experience taught me to never call the route bad names (at least out loud). It always paid me back by not sending it. But it looks like you are exception of the rules :-)
splendid production guys. visuals, sounds, technical breakdowns. it really embraces the experience of climbing. would try with less or no music at all. at least once to see the outcome. ps. your music mix is usually awesome. but just for the sake of pure naturality.
Luckily I have a single spot I can climb outside, but the inability to climb means that I am working out as much as I can. Good work, especially on the send, especially since fatigued.
Wow. What a beautiful problem. Has some great combination of moves. Well done Adam. That looked fun! 4 goes? Man. You are in your own league. Every time I see you climb I wonder to myself, “is there some young kid out there watching him right now that will some how, someway be better? If so, how?” If humankind has proved one thing it’s that we can certainly improve on skills through the generations. Maybe you are leading the way for some kid to flash a 10a someday. What would that look like?
That moment when he highlights the holds and foot holds and you still can't find them... :x
This video format is really cool. No commentary, just the tries.
Pavel Potoček you should check out mellow climbing’s page. That’s almost all they do. (Bunch of Daniel woods v17s on there)
it would be boring if it's like this everytime, but tbh, i think i'd enjoy the olympics if they had natrual rocks
Definitely. Only thing comes close is mellow. I get tired of the incessant "come on, man!!!"s though.

No talking, no bs, just climbing footage from start to finish, with great camera angle
I LOVE IT!
These videos are so dope. Can’t believe we get amazing footage of the greatest climber ever every week. Keep it up
its fascinating you can see all the muscles he uses through his skin, and they're like so developed you can see when they flex or relax
I feel like now he is more muscolar than ever
@@filippocostanzo we may live to see 9c+ !

I find great comfort in these videos. Thank you Adam Ondra for releasing these highlights of my every week.
what i'm hearing ?
A bear? nop
A bob-cat? nop
That's just Adam, nice send btw
It's refreshing to see a pro like this working a route like a normal person. No fixed ropes or ladders, and no huge pile of pads.
He basically brought all the equipment on his own
My 3year old watched this with me. She said, You can do it little man!!!
😆
Really smooth editing. I love how it shoes the lines and holds at the beginning.
Great seeing the process as well.
Adam, you are such an inspiration! a lot of it is mental, when you commit, even though it's not that perfect... boom! thank you.

There is something calming about the storyline of this. Even the greats fall before they succeed.
Sledovat pohyby všech vyrýsovabých svalů a šlach je naprosto fascinující. A krásná česká nadávka bude mít vždycky navrch nad nějakým fuck. Ať se daří.
Pretty amazing boulder problem. Very satisfying and awesome send Adam
Can't wait til we're allowed to climb outside again, your content gives me hope

What a great film. Love the fornat and seeing your progress on the problem. Just solitude, struggle, and skill.
Thank you for helping us evade outside!! Amazing climb & video as always

First 30 seconds is like the ending of an apocalyptic movie
Those shots is the woods in between aswell. They had this "oh oh" feeling.

So cool to see each attempt, and learn the sequence more and more each try. It’s awesome to know the beta of the climb when he sends🤙🏼
Just watched this while high, omg that knee bar🤟music made it nuts while baked, awesome video dude🙏
