"I've been neglecting hard bouldering for the last 10 years" - Meanwhile has completed numerous hard (>= 8B+) boulders in that time including a flash of Jade. This man's standards are unbelievable.
So I don't know if its deliberate or not but "grotesque line" makes a really good play on word (in french at least). "Grotte" means "cave, cavern" in french and adding the suffix "-esque" to a word makes it an adjective. So here the line is "grotesque" as "weird, bizarre" and it's "grottesque" as in "cave-like".
Congratulations Adam! Awesome assent. I am even more impressed by the work you put in prepping it. Says a lot that you could get so may family and friends to come and help you make the assent posable. I am also very psyched that you showed the cleanup and stressed how important that is. You are a great role model.
Well done. My wife came home early from work to 3:50 & 4:05 blaring out of my speakers and now I'm grounded off electronics for the week. Thanks a lot.
Wow, super impressive from a person who has no knowledge of this great sport. The variety of skill sets to accomplish this is amazing. Well done. Climbing coconut and mango trees in JA as a kid was nothing compared to this. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻🍻
drew13600 still worth it to see him try! Sometimes it’s okay not to succeed, as long as you try. And Burden of Dreams it’s worth at least touching, even just to honor the beast Nalle climbed
Would be awesome to see him try though it's really not his style. His first 9A boulder if he does so would probably more of linkups up really hard boulders. D Wood's is trying something like that in RMNP I think it's like 2 v15s stacked. I bet Ondra will try that one day
You, my friend, are a fine example to others, on what's possible with positivity. Your a champ obviously, but your personal traits, are the makin of a true leader. My kudos to you. Might see you in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney in Aust one day, hopefully. Good climbing mecca. 👍🏻
Adam, great job. I watch your films with admiration. However, I have a word for your companions Pavel Klement, Adam Ligocki and Laco Korbel. When Adam climbs (9:20) or shows something on the wall (13:20), his face is not the most important thing, but his feet and hands, I guess. With a camera on a gimbal, you can always squat and rec something from a bit lower perspective (11:30), am I wrong? ;) All the best!
the discipline this dude has to know when to stop is unlike anything i've seen before. Most people would try a million times. try moves over and over to get them dialed. he's that good that he just knows he needs to be absolutely fresh in order to have the physical strength to do it. crazy discipline
Adam you should be proud of what you are doing, and not for sending a 9c lead route, nor an 8c+ boulder problem.... But to be inspiring for so many people, showing continuously the willing to fight to reach for any personal achievement...
Super nice Video as Always . The only little Thing thats disturbed me was the music at the Last attempt . I think it would be much nicer only hearing the water and the bird outside. And of course Adams screams of agony haha . Great video
"He is having a really good time and I cannot stop watching. I didn't know I could enjoy watching ... this ... so much." Then enthusiastically come over and show them. You two will have a good time.
I wish I trusted anything as much as Adam trusts that knee bar.
The 3:00 minute mark is peak-Ondra.
LOL
Tristan Cleveland
That’s a pretty badass moment. Even with the knee pads it’s still amazing how he just keeps himself on the rock.
@@bizmonkey007 It's cool how he developed that talent to prepare for Silence, and now he has it as a super power for other hard problems.
@@bizmonkey007 .
Showing the cleanup of the setup was an instant like.
Should left it and dumped a bunch of nuclear waste too
Also to mention that Adam himself helped to clean up and did not leave it to his helpers
Definitly ! And we should all people and especially climbers, leaves ours climbing spots even cleaner than before
Boy Scout ethics: Always leave a site better than you found it. Kudos to Adam.

Imagine walking into a cave and there would be this man upside down on the wall screaming
Gollum! Gollum!
Doing spiderman shit.
Happens a lot more than you'd think.

Czechia's Hardest Boulderproblem
Adam: "argh... should have done it in my first try"
Well he was proper close, and he also said it was on his limit?! Hmmm lol
@@biltongandbobaBecause he knew most of the steps from Ghost Rider.
Tomáš Šuchma I am well aware of that.
Would it count as a flash if he did?
@@alexantone5532 good question. I think it would since it's technically a new route. But I'm no climber, so don't heed me haha
My wife walked in on me when I watched this. Her facial expression when she heard all the moaning, priceless.
Mine always tells me:
I’m glad I know you’re watching climbing vids and not porn.
Little does she know I’m actually watching climbing porn muhahaha
Always happens with Ondra videos.
My mom just walked in
@@jeffmaya5345 comment of the year 😂
Kneepads: "How often will you use us on a ~30 move boulder problem?"
Ondra: ".....yes!"
Trash talk?
"now it got from boulder problem into shallow water solo"
you're the best, Adam🤣

Hard and beautiful sends are great, but nothing beats watching Adam crush these just grotesque lines

worlds hardest shallow water solo
That was epic! That is a monster boulder problem. Also, great ending. Such an ambassador.
The entire sequence starting around 2:50 is just dope. All the knee bars, the music, Adam’s grunts of pure effort. Incredible job
Congratulations Adam! Awesome assent. I am even more impressed by the work you put in prepping it. Cool that Adam takes camera crew with him and is not scared to send them back home because it's bad conditions :). Two times.
Feeling like I must comment after what I've just saw but I'm out words.
Just amazing the will and the power. Congrats
Love that you showed the cleanup after, setting an awesome example in more ways than one
Imagine being friends with this guy and you're out exploring a random cave with a group when he suddenly yells "THE FLOOR IS LAVA!"
Well done. My wife came home early from work to 3:50 & 4:05 blaring out of my speakers and now I'm grounded off electronics for the week. Thanks a lot.
Goddamn his knee-bar training for Silence definitely shows here!
You're awesome Adam. Glad you're here to inspire us all. Even in the not so good conditions. Keep it up my dude!
the 9A boulder is waiting for you
@Lorenzo Federico Signorini sisi ma intendevo proprio di provare burden of dreams, dato che è l'unico 9A boulder a quanto pare
Adam's manager Pavel Blažek said "Burden of dreams" (first sugested 9A) is on the list :)).

bouderers: "Hey Adam, we have long boudler problem without any rest! Its so pumpy and hard!"
Adam: " Give a knee pad"
I won't be impressed until I see him kneebar on friction slab
Wow, super impressive from a person who has no knowledge of this great sport.
The variety of skill sets to accomplish this is amazing. Well done.
Climbing coconut and mango trees in JA as a kid was nothing compared to this. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻🍻
It‘s so cool how much work you pur into your videos: So much work for one boulder- not talking about the filming. Awesome!!!
I would love to see a video made of Adams warmup!
"leave the space even cleaner than before" - subbed.
9:58 is a great reminder that even a 2 foot fall, can hit pretty hard. I'm sure Adam felt that one.
Notice the seamless product placement at 2:07 ... eeeh we love you Adam, we get it, man's gotta eat
2:55 That is so cool! :-)
I probably can't understand how hard it must be to execute all of this...
When they zoomed in on the hold to show it was moist, I literally laughed out loud and said “that’s not a hold!”
This guy really deserves the name of bat-man
But then batman wouldnt derserve it anymore
He certainly hangs upside down enough.
Nah he’s spiderman
@Karl Schinkovits yes! that's why his suit is never covered around the knee...!.
Ty jsi neuvěřitelně inspirativní příklad že když něco nejde tak to ku... prostě jde! Děkuju ti za to Adame.
What a beautiful video man! Friends in nature having a great time doing what they love. I wish you all well! Greetings from Greece
excellent music for this cave scenery !!!

The Feeling of finishing a hard climb or Boulder never gets old
Greatest feeling ever! I mean when I do my V4 lol
Taking a deep bow before the master of this cave ;) What a beast! First sending this incredibly hard boulder and then cleaning up✌
The way he grunts and screams always cracks me up
