Kind of 'predicting' the route with the help of these little symbols for the holds is a great idea! So many times I think 'there IS NO grip or foothold to see' ... only some chalk on the rock! It makes following the right way much easier and your strength even more amazing ;)
I love it, too. Being a non-climber these dotted lines help me see something I couldn't even guess it. Prior to this, I was just watching the physical effort and trying to learn the mental aspects. Great addition to a great channel.
Okay that move at 7:54 is one of the most insane things I've seen in bouldering. Not only do you cut your feet AND your right hand, but you pull yourself back to the wall so smoothly that it's like your left arm is merely an extension of the rock. Incredible.
Really enjoyed seeing other great climbers and I love the added graphics mapping the route as you climb! So helpful for learning to read the rock outdoors
i have to say, really love those highlighted holds, especially on the rock (as a gym climber), more so the footholds as they have little to no chalk on them.
What an awesome episode! The hand/foot hold indication works perfectly with the notoriously hard-to-navigate Moravian Karst rock! I was hoping we would be shown more of Rishat, but it is OK, at least something with this guy :) Keep the great content coming!
I know you have been doing it for ages but thank you for highlighting all the holds, it makes it so much easier to understand, especially on a small screen.
Its cool to see Rishat climbing in these videos. Whenever his face would appear for a second in some of the other videos I would always wonder what his climbing style looked like.
I'm watching your videos since you are putting them up, and I have to say that they are so well done, it perfectly captures your beautiful climbing. Also really love your power screams. Much love from Austria.
It would be great to see more of Rishat climbing in your videos. I was really impressed by his performance getting in to the Olympics and it would be great to see more of how you are training together for that. It’s always good to see and be able to compare the strengths and weaknesses (if any) between pro climbers.
Love your content and weekly videos. Being from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada...I was really intrigued to see a boulder problem named after the 1917 explosion for which we are known for. Keep up the amazing work!
Today is a fine day for learning! I really enjoy the fact that you put up where the hand and foot holds are going to be. Helps visualize the run! Interesting to see that one of the routes is named after the 1917 Halifax explosion. Which killed 1,950 people and injured 18,000 more.
I wouldn't recommend it for regular use as you'll get mold growth and such. but it shouldn't compromise the function too much. That's the power of having sponsors for days.
Mine got soaked after getting caught in a storm outside. You just have to take off the cover and let them dry next to a fan for a couple of days or so. Foam is still nice and sturdy
Ok decided to sub now thanks to the editing of the holds. Great addition, saw it done before on this channel. The only real challenge I've not really seen any climbing youtuber successfully beat is how to get the holds and difficulty of them in view. A lot of climbs look easy because it's really hard to tell the angle and depth of a hold from a video. Obviously most climbs Adam does are far from easy though, but it might give some more insight into how hard they actually are.
...that’s the good idea to thinking about. Hmm, but how to show the holds with their plasticity? Maybe is the way to analyse every hold and show in detailed point of view from best possible angle. Thanks for inspiring us.
@@lacokorbel I think a good, but probably too labour intensive/expensive way to do it would be to when the climb starts have a very simple 3d/wireframe model pop up that you can use to illustrate the holds, maybe take a harder one and "put" a hand on it. But that is heavy, complicated editing right there. But it is quick (maybe 10-20 seconds). Because another challenge is how to do it without it taking too long, as it might become boring if it takes too long, unless you dedicate a video to it? Sometimes when Adam is talking about a hold there is a short zoom with him holding it, but even then the depth (i.e. how much of his finger can be used) is hard to gauge. It is definitely challenging, and I am curious what you can come up with :)
Great video. I do have to say I'm not a fan of the markers placed for his hands and feet before he makes the moves. Just my two cents, not sure if it was off putting for anyone else.
I like the idea of the animations showing the route, but I think it should be more subtle. like maybe just at the beginning show a shot marking them and then thats it.
Chris Sharma: Deep water soloing. Adam Ondra: Shallow water soloing.
Nothing beats a nice greasy lime stone outdoor bouldering session.
Massive fan of your content Mani
@@jonathanfaller1894 Mission 8b was my most anticipated youtube series of all time!
Emphasis definitely on the “greasy” if you’d say it. Love your channel and the accent
I wish those circles and diamonds would appear when I’m out climbing! 🤣
Kind of 'predicting' the route with the help of these little symbols for the holds is a great idea! So many times I think 'there IS NO grip or foothold to see' ... only some chalk on the rock! It makes following the right way much easier and your strength even more amazing ;)
It's great that you like it. The intention was to add more fun and the ability to analyze the climber's movement.
I love it, too. Being a non-climber these dotted lines help me see something I couldn't even guess it. Prior to this, I was just watching the physical effort and trying to learn the mental aspects. Great addition to a great channel.
I love it too. Great stuff
@@lacokorbel thats really cool, even as a climber its much easier to make out the speciifics of the holds and follow along.
I liked the indicators for where the holds where. Great video
I gotta say, the indicators for holds are very helpful to follow and adds a cool little "game" feel. Love the videos!
... that's exactly what we said when we came up with this idea. let's make it a "game" like ;-)
Really cool to see a speed climbing specialist like Rishat Khaibullin out on real rock
he isn‘t a speed specialist
Okay that move at 7:54 is one of the most insane things I've seen in bouldering. Not only do you cut your feet AND your right hand, but you pull yourself back to the wall so smoothly that it's like your left arm is merely an extension of the rock. Incredible.
He moves like a spider!
It's great to see Rishat training with you, I really hope he does well in the Olympics, especially because he qualified as a specialist speed climber!
I think he does just the right thing by training with ondra :)
Swine fever, H1N1, SARS....if someone sets a new boulder right next to them they should probably call it "Covid-19" or something
Or just an extension to SARS called SARS-CoV19
they probably got tired of foreigners shouting "siiiiick" so they named the routes accordingly
(SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19)
Thank you for pointing out the holds videos dont do that enough!
The single hand perfectly controlled swing is so beautiful
7:55 is buttery smooth
Really enjoyed seeing other great climbers and I love the added graphics mapping the route as you climb! So helpful for learning to read the rock outdoors
This channel has the best climber and best production quality plus you are super consistent with the uploads. THANK YOU!!
1:05 - Magical Flash Music Begins.
1:25 - FlAsH mUsIc StOpS
I love the editing for that bit, made it so unexpected and quite amusing.
such beauty, very aesthetic.
oh.
FANTASTIC VIDEO AS ALWAYS! Good to see even Ondra has trouble on the polished limestone, does wonders for my ego!😂❤️
The climbing marks on the video for hands and feet are beautiful. Thank you!
Great quality videos! Keep it up! I would love to see some colabs with other climbers 😉
Magnus Midtbø once said he would like to do a colab with adam, but he is too afraid to ask :D
@@MisanthropieWoW I know, I hope someday we can see that😬
We just force them to do one
Perhaps there is a Covid-19 boulder next to H1N1 and SARS 😂
It'll have to be at least 6 feet away
Such a humble and inspirational person...love watching your videos and learning. Thanks for sharing
I look forward to these videos each week! Production is getting better and better!
That circle and square marking of your holds is such a nice and comforting idea. Alone for that you shall have my thanks.
I like how the title is like “bouldering fun” and then and then he proceeds to annihilate v13s in the summer
🤣 the inspirational music as he starts to climb then dropped when he falls👌
i have to say, really love those highlighted holds, especially on the rock (as a gym climber), more so the footholds as they have little to no chalk on them.
Actually quite nice to see Adam struggling a little early on. 😜
7:53 lets just take a moment to appreciate this graceful move!
Really enjoyed that! Also really enjoyed seeing Kaibulin clime a bit. You're very humble Adam!
really love the little circle and square hold higlines before the moves. ty for the extra editing effort

Keep the great content coming!
"training" Hey check this out sweet 8A+ for starters !
Interesting how some routes were named after virus types.
heartbreak, viruses, explosions. accurately describes my 2020
Maybe the route setter was a virologist.
I think it's possible that Ondra himself named the SARS route at least since he mentions he did the FA
that's what is call dark humor (or maybe czech humor ... idk)
In Brazil now we have boulders called "Lockdown" and also "Isolamento Social" (Social Isolation)
I know you have been doing it for ages but thank you for highlighting all the holds, it makes it so much easier to understand, especially on a small screen.
these videos are the best climbing videos around-those on screen displays for the holds are so great, keep it up!!
Ooooh, those visual indicators for when he is climbing are wonderful. Love the line showing the route as well.
5:14 Time for Adam for his favorite meal, a bowl of cactus.
Such a joy to watch you climb, Adam. An absolute master. Those were some brutal boulders as well.
I love the holds animation
Its cool to see Rishat climbing in these videos. Whenever his face would appear for a second in some of the other videos I would always wonder what his climbing style looked like.
I really like those circles and squares pointing out foot/hand holds, that does help me better appreciate the problem and your moves!
To climb with this little noise of stream looks perfect :)
I love how self critical Adam is about his climbing.
The hold markers in the video really add some value, great idea!
Yes, the goal was to add more interactivity to the viewer. We're glad you like it.
one of ur best vids so far!!! keep it on!
and also respect for ur editor, perfect job ;)
Thank you, we appreciate it. We are preparing other great episodes for you.
I love your perseverance in every route you climb. Very impressive to watch. Keep up the great work Adam.
Who doesn't love a session of shallow water soloing
I'm watching your videos since you are putting them up, and I have to say that they are so well done, it perfectly captures your beautiful climbing. Also really love your power screams. Much love from Austria.
Thank you Master Ondra !
Outdoor climbing is always the best
Adam: gets upset he doesn't flash an 8a+ on greasy limestone
Me: Can't wait to try my 7a+ project again
6a for me
i really love when there are two languages in video and i don't have any problem to understand (listen) both :D

Love the video with the callouts on all the upcoming holds. Very cool.
great editing! I love the handhold and foothold visualization
Thank you. we want to make videos more cinematic while maintaining the entertainment aspect.
highlighting the holds outdoors is genius!
This type of videos are amazing, the scenery, the climbing, how you point out the hand holes and the feet holes, the quality is amazing =)
I don't know if its a new addition or not, but I love that you're including a look at where the next holds are - it's a nice addition :)
Love the way the holds and feet were highlighted. Ive never noticed that before so idk if it’s old but I really like that
The editing with the hand and footholds is great
Absolutely love the editing on this! Phenomenal episode
That crag is definitely a rock spray wall 😂
SOOO NICE THE LITTTLE CIRCLES presuming the holds !! nice edit
You are my inspiration
What a beast! 2 v12, 1 v12/13 and 1v13, so crazy
Awesome content like usual Adam !!!!! You are the Best!

At 4:34, it seems like Adam is holding back so much frustration with that smile.
Legit question: does it matter that the pads are getting soaked from the river? I would have assumed it would compromise their function...
I wouldn't recommend it for regular use as you'll get mold growth and such. but it shouldn't compromise the function too much. That's the power of having sponsors for days.
The outside of that Black Diamond pad is waterproof by the way
Mine got soaked after getting caught in a storm outside. You just have to take off the cover and let them dry next to a fan for a couple of days or so. Foam is still nice and sturdy
I have seen people put wooden pallets under them to avoid this. It works quite well.
Day 1 of asking for a magnus collab
People have been talking about that since January and they were discussing something but then the virus hit.
I think your videos are cool, I think it would be cool if you did more of them
Swine flue and Sars, I am sure by now they should have a Boulder called Corona. Probably the first 10a
Go Adam!!
Damn I like the filming and the editing, you are a strong team! Great Climbing Adam :D
big thanks. we appreciate it and look forward to bringing you more wonderful episodes.
The editing quality!! 😱
You should find an 8C+ on the wall of the climbs of the second part of the video and call it COVID 19.
I think we all know what the next new problem established on that wall will be named...
4:05 Adam during an intense effort, not in competition and with a shirt? Must be really cold out there :3

Adam! Any plans on making a video about sport nutrition?
The man!
Yep that's cool.

Adam: "...which is the kind of hold that I hate..."
Hold: "what did I ever do to you? T.T"
his forearms got even bigger than before!
Nice
I love those arms
I wonder who named that boulder after the Halifax Explosion though...
do you leave the matresses in the water and then just put them to dry later? keep up the great work ondra😉👍👏live the vids😁😋
