From the perspective of GDP, India has always believed that it is about 20 years behind mainland China. 20 years ago, mainland China was already competing with the United States for the Olympic list, and at the same time was able to help the world, especially the United States, escape the 2008 global financial crisis. They really think that they can now match China's capabilities 20 years ago. In order to increase its GDP, India even counts cow dung. The Olympic medals show that India's GDP figures are completely inflated. The industrial capacity of a country will be reflected in the number of gold medals. The medal list in the history of the Olympics is the simplest test list of national strength. People only need to look at the list to know which countries were powerful in history. All the so-called China experts neither understand Chinese nor Chinese history and culture. The only thing they understand is political correctness.

India and China focus on different aspects of the society in their development because they have different developmental goals. China wanted to build "a moderately prosperous society for all her citizens " (共同富裕的小康社會). This goal was set 45 years ago when China's economic reform first started, and it seems that they have not diverted much from the goal. India's goal is to become a superpower, and the entire Indian population seems to support it. So lifting people out of poverty is more important to the Chinese than to India if it costs too much money and adds too little to the GDP.

In latest world intellectual property organisations reports, where the reports is a summarize of patents submission from 1974-2023 .
Out of the total "world intellectual property patents" submission,it has approximately 54000+ patents, China occupied 74% of total patents, physically 38000+ patents in generative AI,which basically mean future innovations technology.
Disappointly America has only 6000+,and what people so called up and coming superpower economy India has mere 1600+ .
All China critics, said such innovations are stolen technology, what puzzles me is from who,if has 74% of total 100%.
How India to overtake China,is a very realistic task ,India have to really needs to work very very hard .

I have something to say here
    1) China's economic boom shows that there is absolutely no relation between the economy and governance system. In addition to this China's boom originates a new chapter in debate..." do we really need democratic system to achieve economic growth?"...can underdeveloped countries accept China's mix governance system to eliminate poverty ( globalisation in business and patrial communism in governance)?
    2) The democratic society miserably failed in their economic goals by creating the largest mess in terms of worsening gap between rich and poor , over centralisation of wealth into the hands of few opportunistic power people.
    3) One of the biggest mistakes is to validate china using the spectacle of western countries.
    4) It would be stupid idea to conclude that the chinese economy is slowing down and FDI flow erodes massively...this is wrong...the data from the Europe union business trade shows that china is still a girlfriend of Europe and its first choice for FDI investment.....only chinese investment into Europe shrink down in 2024..
    5) china is restructuring and reorganizing their focus area from shaddy manufacturing to advanced techno innovation like semiconductor, LI-ON batteries, 5G network equipment, solar green technology, space missions, satellite imagery, defense experts etc etc....the slow down is due to this paradigm shift...

When i go around indian cities see workers aroun, seems like they dont even have basic facilities accept white colored job and yet socalled chinese experts from india are saying china has no workers rights. It makes me think what did they see.
In china, Hong Kong, macau and taiwan, people are busy making money but not participating political rally. I have heardly heard people taking about politics, rather talks about money.
Lets see the diffirences in terms of where india needs to do its homework:
Number of best universities in world - India & china
Number of R&D and its petents - india & China
Number of youth empowerment in games
    Healthcare system
    Infrastructures
    Supply chain system
Indian should oncerns these factors first and try to develop it first then comes to compete china. Whenever I go to india i cant even compair india with most of the asian nations infrastructures. In case of environmental issue india should not judge china for polution, polution in air or water ... We cant even compair...

The main reason why China's development is far ahead of India lies in the considerable gap in political wisdom between the leaders of the two countries. Two simple examples can show this:
    1. In terms of treating foreign capital, after Chinese leaders introduce foreign capital, they will do everything possible to provide the greatest convenience for foreign capital. No matter how much money you earn, the Chinese government is never envious. As long as you pay taxes legally according to the bilateral agreement, no matter how much money you earn, it's all yours and can be transferred away at will. Because when foreign capital enters China for investment, it will definitely bring social employment and various technologies, including production technology and management technology. What China wants is technology. In the long-term cooperation, these technologies will definitely be mastered by the Chinese people. With technology, everything is easy to say. However, Indian leaders are completely a group of short-sighted people. After seeing foreign capital making money, they try every means to punish them with fines of various names. Sometimes there is no reason for fines. They even pass a temporary bill to punish foreign capital. This untrustworthy cooperation method has caused great hardship to foreign investors. According to statistics, in the ten years from 2014 to 2024, 2,800 foreign companies fled India, and some of them came to China.
    2. Since 2020, due to the China-India border conflict, India has implemented "the strictest restrictive measures in Asia" on Chinese enterprises, including strictly restricting the issuance of visas to China and Chinese investment. They said that the restrictive measures were taken due to the epidemic. In fact, China's epidemic had been completely controlled in May 2020, and China has long opened up visas for Indians to come to China. In this way, hundreds of thousands of Indians travel to China every year, including those for tourism and business, contributing considerable tourism economic income to China. Chinese leaders consider it foolish not to earn money when there is money to be made. On the contrary, due to India's refusal to issue visas, the number of Chinese going to India is very small. Foolish Indian leaders have shut out a considerable amount of income.
The above can show the political wisdom of the leaders of the two countries. One has a long-term strategic vision, while the other is short-sighted and incompetent.

He didn't mention the most fundamental differences. The key differences are culture and political system. 1. China has a unified foundation based on Confucianism, which has lasted for thousands of years. Almost everyone agrees with it, and there is no religious conflict. And China has never been completely colonized, but rather invaded, like Germany invaded France. 2. A strong centralized government is extremely efficient, and it can concentrate its efforts on the most critical things. The premise of this point is a unified culture.

The People's Republic of China is officially an atheist state, but the government formally recognizes five religions: Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity (Catholicism and Protestantism are recognized separately), and Islam.

Manoj, Indian politicians always dream big but unable to achieve. Modi wants to make India a superpower by 2047, it’s really a laughing stock. Did Modi who run the largest democracy in the world manage to alleviate 700-800 millions of Indians out of poverty? Still a long long way to go even with a much larger increasing population now. How many gold medal did India win in this Paris Olympic? I predict in next 30 years, India will still be an impoverished country and will find it difficult to achieve developed status least to be a superpower. Cut down on defence budget and help the ordinary Indians who are struggling to make ends meet. Resolve your huge internal domestic problems first - rampant corruption, racial religious violent, primitive caste system, infrastructure deficiency, income disparity, abject poverty, etc. Manoj, without the above problems being solved, India will never expect foreign companies or foreign educational institutions invested heavily in India for the unforeseeable future.

India should emulate and help lift its citizens out of poverty, improve the infrastructures, housing, etc...rather than waste time over border rocks,.........
You should be an advisor to Modi.

India cannot escape its colonial past. It tries too hard to copy and therefore to become acceptable to the West. But the UK being the ex-colonial master has fallen in hard times. The British gave India the English language, the parliament and the laws. However India is a country having laws but with no orders. It is like to compare India to having a body without the soul. India must seek its own identity and learn to get along with the neighbors.

Modi and India = NATO - No Action Talk Only. India likes to brag whereas China is more humble and willing to learn from others. It clearly shows IndiA largest democracy has failed miserably, whereas China Political Systems and politicians who are carefully chosen have been very successful. China meritocracy system is a plus factor.

The observations Manoj reports are very relevant. He fails to report that it was Nixon on the advice of Kissinger opened up US to China and China welcomed Foreign investment. In doing so it became a manufacturing hub. It is interesting that Manoj, who said he did not do a good job managing his father’s business gives economic advice. For instance why should the PLI policy be selectively applied? Why not allow it across the board to all companies. China is following State Capitalism which is not an option for Bharat. Bharat has to facilitate private enterprise, small, medium and large. Unfortunately Bharat is so behind in capital intensive high value precision manufacturing that it will take many years to catch up, if at all.

India's economy has been in deficit for the last 30 over years, address this first because without surplus economy, India will forever be a poor country. To overcome this issue, India needs to be foreign investment friendly and needs a massive land reform.

Actually what India needs is a total reform of Her political system. India can walk Her own path, not necessarily have to follow the Western Democratic system. Besides, Democracy can take different forms.
What China adopts now may not suit India well. Hence, India should try embracing Her own path, explore the most appropriate strategy for implementing Democracy, then devise and implement the most effective and efficient form of Democracy system to boost itself onto the high-speed development in Her socioeconomy.

An uninformed debate which does not come to grips with the basic problem why China is so much ahead of not only India but practically all countries in the world. Cliches like India’s caste system are only cliches. But what is the explanation for India’s current lead in growth rate? The caste system, the stock cliche has apparently mitigated its effect recently! So also the allegedly heavy military budget!(It has increased. In recent years).Facile explanations will not do!More thinking is required.
