Common people shouldn't worry about these things, and most should not have time for this. It is not their job. The state should worry about these policy/welfare decisions. Implement the right policies for the people it takes care of.
@@bharatiyaseeker4460 Unless the people discuss these aspects why would policy makers be incentivized to take them seriously? This idea that the State should take care of everything stems from Socialist era ideology. We are past that. Today politicians take up issues seriously when voters care about them and hold them accountable to it.
I cannot believe intellectuals like Dr. Ranganathan are dismissed as Sanghis. Shame on us as citizens. We need to listen and reflect more. Very thought-provoking speech.
Because the opposition is just waiting for its time to make money. Every government when it comes to power shows it's true color. It is only upto us the citizens to demand more from our local MPS and MLAs that the center will then hear.
Bcoz opposition parties doesn't want to see india developed and prosperous bcoz if people become aware then their vote bank and politics won't last long. Also they don't care about the country rather they care to be in power.Just imagine Western countries,Japan was destroyed during world war but they became developed very fast compared that to india after 78 years of independence we are far behind them and this happened bcoz of bad leaders and governments and out of 78 years congress ruled 60 years alone and more than half of the problem existing today are their due to bad policies👀🤔
There is absolutely no reason why India should be a poor country some 80 years after independence. It is a man made tragedy, not caused by an insidious imperial power or climatic events but by a state apparatus that is without ambition to truly transform the nation they supposedly serve.
India still isn't free. The political class doesn't believe in economic freedom, they are all statists. Nor do they deliver on core services like judiciary and police. Time is running out. Demographic dividend is being squandered and soon the country will grow old. 6% growth isn't enough to become an advanced economy by 2050. India is a 5000 horse power, V16 engine with just one piston moving. Please check out the economist Milton Friedman's memo to government of India from 1955. Imagine the India that could have been had a major course correction taken place in the 1970's. 100s of millions would never have had to experience the horror of extreme poverty. The sons and daughters of Bharat could have strived for the moon.
@@tubelzNice, well said. I just want to add on, Collaboration between educational, vocational institutions and industry is an essential requirement of this country if we want to reap demographic dividend. We should have to produce workforce that is in equipped with skills which is demanded in the market. Govt. And industries should give boost to make this idea a reality otherwise we'll miss the flight again. If we want to flood FDI in our country, skilled workforce is a must. Also, 1st and the foremost government should start implementing NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY, so that an initial thrust can be realised. Industries should consult with institutions about what kind of skills they want from them to teach so that curriculum is devised in such a way that generates skilled workforce which is demanded in the market. Same collaboration is required between educational institutions and research institutions at a larger level.
@@varunnamdev2434 an industry ready workforce which can engage in a globalised economy is a must. There is a rather poignant saying about India, “India never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity” it’s a sad indictment of India’s economic history since independence. Indeed at independence India was actually in a good position for economic growth. She emerged after the Second World War with an industrial base intact and a liberal trade/economic policy. This contrasts dramatically with east Asia which was left in ruins. Yet, as we all know, Nehru and his embrace of socialism completely shackled India’s economy. Decade after decade was criminally wasted and what is absolutely disheartening as an Indian is to see the potential of generations being systematically squandered right before our very eyes, which sadly continues to this day. Even more depressing is that after two centuries of the humiliation of being a mere colony of a tiny European state, India post independence had many opportunities to grow rich and put this painful chapter of her past to rest by allowing her population to become wealthy. Indians deserve so much better, we have been made poor and exploited for centuries and yet since independence countless opportunities for rapid wealth creation were present. Our neighbours to the East showed us time and again what needed to be done, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and China in particular stand out that freeing up the factors of production in conjunction with a trained workforce, an investment led economic model which was initially protectionist but ultimately liberalised in order to build up “national champions” to dominate global industries, was their path to prosperity. Yet the Indian state refuses to at least attempt to replicate aspects of the East Asian model, only recently focusing on investment led growth. There is another poignant saying that the Indian state reforms by “compulsion, not conviction” and this unfortunately is what we’re left with, a state that is unwilling to truly modernise India but will settle for empty slogans like a “developed India by 2047” which is an impossibility given the political and administrative structure that currently exists. I wish more people would wake up and realise that India is being kept poor by its political class and antiquated bureaucracy. India has all the ingredients to be a fabulously wealthy country but this is being denied to over a billion Indians, which is probably one of the most abhorrent acts a state could commit against its own people, to keep them poor and ignorant.

Excellent lecture that has touched a crucial point not only for Indian economy but also for all other countries-take care of your future workforce. Michelle Obama initiated the school lunch program in the USA and Republican states didn’t want to implement it. The difference in the intellectual capacity between the states’ students is obvious starkly visible. I hope Indian business leaders take a lead on this project. State government may not have interest in it but society must step in where governments fail.
School lunch program in entire country of Japan, is said to build healthy nation and discipline. Even small kids are taught to push food carts and also clean afterwards.
Anand rolls out the basic truths about the Indian economy. These are the issues that should be regularly debated by the Indian media. The economy is rife with gross inefficiencies. Looks like State Governments, too, are dysfunctional. Anytime is election time in India. For decades, China pulled the bulls by the horns and eventually emerged as a shining success. Indians have to be pragmatic.

Brilliant articulation of facts that make you sit-up and feel inspired to do something for the nation 💐. Thank you Anand Ranganathan ji for your exhaustive presentation of data that are eye popping.
He has shown somewhat real face of India as on date. But ignored the real core issues like 1. Population of our country in relation to healthier wealthier wiser and flexible parameters and its context while comparing with the global parameters. 2. Per capita land availability and its context with the above 04 parameters 3. poverty line and literacy rate parameters and its baseline whether it is sufficient or not 4. Imbalanced socio-economic growth and development within the country and its relation to the growing unemployment. Why GDP is growing but equivalent jobs are not getting created in the country and why economic growth is achieved and not able to achieve socio-economic development with an eye on environment. 5. per capita forest land available to avoid manmade disasters like drought, flood, landslides, global warming etc Few more observations 1. Poverty rate is 4.5% which is calculated based on Poverty line determined by GOI.. is that sufficient to determine poverty we can mull it over. 1286 per month for urban and 1059 per month for rural, which works out to 43 rupees and 35 rupees per day per person. in today's context what a person can get with 43 / 35 rupees per day to live above poverty line???? 2. How much forest cover then and now? how many trees we have grown for every tree cut to build highways and for mining. as per world bank norms, for every tree cut to build highways atleast 04 trees has to be planted and nourished. what we have planted after cutting tamarind tree on the highways. According to the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) guidelines, the general practice is to plant at least three trees for every tree cut. have we grown enough trees to compensate to avoid flooding, to conserve ground water to avoid landslides etc. 3. He spoke highly about mid-day meal which has given impetus to socio-economic development but now we need to keep an eye on the environmental development along with this socio-economic development and not merely focusing on Economic development which most of the current governments are concentrating which is a disaster. 4. Agriculture related to GDP is not the right parameter since that sector is providing food security to the whole nation. after internal consumption, rest is going for sale which contributes for the GDP. India is having nearly 150 crore population and we can understand how much our internal consumption would be. So measuring GDP with this Agri sector is not at all correct, since survival depends on this sector, we cannot eat money for our survival isnt it?? 5. US China has larger land availability per capita which we dont have...we dont have such an industrial based economy as like China. service sector economy we are which cannot survive for long term. 6. Why PSU's are loss making, we need to mull it over...???? selling PSUs is like selling your assets which we have created over the years. what we need is to revive those units to give impetus to industrial development, which will contribute to the real growth and development and not the service sector. 7. BSNL was there providing connectivity to the entire nation when no private player was there. In the name of privatisation, BSNL was made scapegoat as like AIr India. Telecom and aviation is the sector which is thriving but BSNL and Air India was not performing. answer is not to sell the assets but to revive those assets. 8. Minimum Support Prize, why cant we give to the farmers for all the products and allow them to sell in the market with this guideline value?? when we have guideline value for land purchase and when we have regulating authorities for aviation, telecom and even for equity markets. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions (SERCs), Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). SImilarly Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is also there. what is the issue? I dont agree with his statement of giving freebies to the farmers by adopting MSP. The MSP is a form of financial intervention designed to support farmers by providing them with a guaranteed price for their crops. 9. Bringing back old pension will increase the burden on the budget which is not sustainable. Overall, its an eye opener for the current government to mull over about the real ground situation of our country and determine the policies and programmes to aid future socio-economic and environmental growth and development. for environmental protection lot many lakshmi kutties are required to avoid landslides, flood and drought and to conserve the ecology of our sub continent. so our growth will be sustainable, else mere economic growth will be a disaster which we are adopting as on date.
You're just saying what we're doing since we got freedom, with out economic growth we're nothing!! Anand Ji is spitting facts if not then why indian govt.were not able to distribute reserved ration which the govt.bought by farmers through msp ..all reserved ration were non-edible !! This was not only the waste of food grains but also the resources that was used in growing these crops.. As a nation we have to be strong on our economic policies!! Welfare is imp but we're not a capitalist nation,as said by Anand ji we have to draw a line between freebies and welfarism; In simple words, we're not using our resources wisely in the name of welfare !!
It's always a delight and insightful to watch, listen Dr. Anand Ranganathan. But the sad part is the views are so less compared to useless videos, reels or contents. No doubt we are in the right path and central government is also trying their best to make viksit bharat but like Dr.ranga said it is not enough for us to leapfrog, there has to be good policies, intent, vision, roadmap, courage to make it happen.Fact of the matter is we don't have options available in political spectrum,we don't see opposition parties talking about these things,we don't see opposition parties doing constructive criticisms,we don't see our opposition parties addressing the issues and solutions,we don't see them portraying their vision, roadmap, intent, courage, honesty, leadership in making viksit bharat, this is the sad reality of indian politics 👀🤔🙏
Bharat is counter generational, counter cultural and is an absolute answer to the challenges India has been facing. Socialism at Modi' s care. Until the private sector has normalized business regulations, non corrupt checks and balances to meet national and international needs. Totally honest lecture discussion, no one else is talking about this.
India has probably become very very fragile. It is a very scary scenario indeed. But he 100% right. Bigger issue is that nobody seem to be even bothered..
We need to have a parallel non political movement to emphasize and educate people (keeping in mind no Kejriwal is born as a by product of the same). Wonderful explanatory speech by Dr.Anand. Its time to catch low hanging fruits and stop all non sense schemes by any government, whether state or center.
Anand sir u talked about the reality of our nation as well as today's politicians but we people can't understand these things because you choose politicians as a normal criteria we don't see that they have any visionary leadership or any talent or not to do development of our society. We vote on a normal basis that it's part of life not the most important thing for our country. Sir I am living in our city where the same politician is winning since 2 decades but when you see the development of this area 😮you find out that how people is noncence and uneducated because they didn't think about that.... बस चल रहा हैं तो चलने दो . That's the mindset of today's people of india. I hope this video will go in public to think about what states can do and how to do it for us . Thanks Anand sir 🫡🫡
Apart from BSNL all other points I agree BSNL needs to be under the government as a lot of our secured communication are through the BSNL example army, security agencies etc
This is such great information given by Anand Sir but unfortunately we do not discuss these things publicly or at our home. The media keeps us showing Pakistan and religious politics and nobody gives a shit about it which is sad.

Great analysis
You're just saying what we're doing since we got freedom, with out economic growth we're nothing!! Anand Ji is spitting facts if not then why indian govt.were not able to distribute reserved ration which the govt.bought by farmers through msp ..all reserved ration were non-edible !! This was not only the waste of food grains but also the resources that was used in growing these crops.. As a nation we have to be strong on our economic policies!! Welfare is imp but we're not a capitalist nation,as said by Anand ji we have to draw a line between freebies and welfarism;
In simple words, we're not using our resources wisely in the name of welfare !!
Excellent… AR is amazing
Brilliant. Such hard hitting truths.
This is epic. 🙏
A wonderful INSIGHTS by DR. RANGANQDHQN

Socialism at Modi' s care. Until the private sector has normalized business regulations, non corrupt checks and balances to meet national and international needs. Totally honest lecture discussion, no one else is talking about this.
Wow! An eye-opener!
Very few people who are honest as him.
India has probably become very very fragile. It is a very scary scenario indeed. But he 100% right. Bigger issue is that nobody seem to be even bothered..
Thank you Anand ji..❤

Excellent speech Dr Anand R.
We need to have a parallel non political movement to emphasize and educate people (keeping in mind no Kejriwal is born as a by product of the same).
Wonderful explanatory speech by Dr.Anand. Its time to catch low hanging fruits and stop all non sense schemes by any government, whether state or center.

Chief minister of Chandra Babu Naidu garu, inaugurated the project of River linkage project in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Apart from BSNL all other points I agree
BSNL needs to be under the government as a lot of our secured communication are through the BSNL example army, security agencies etc
