R.I.P Free Soda at Lake Compounce.
Coaster Plus Music 19 😭😂
Coaster Plus Music 19 if I went tomorrow would they give me free soda?
No more free soda
Coaster Plus Music 19 at least Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana still has it.
Coaster Plus Music 19 ikr I went today
NOT THE FREE SODA!! btw This is my home park lol
Its my home park too
Omg me too- not even 10 minutes away
My home park too
This is my home park as well! Ive been going to lake compounce since before I could walk
me too
What?! They’re getting rid of free soda?! That alone was a reason to go to the park.
Lol rip
Anyone else remember coming here with their school orchestra, band, or chorus to do a performance and then spend the day in the park?
Ohhhh yeah. For some reason we got superior every time we went lol
I live in Connecticut and I’ve been going there since I was little I love it
NerdyGamer2001 same!!
All CT bois know this park very well
Connecticut broskis where ya at?
Me to
@@thecoasterscorpion right here
I’m from CT and all of my childhood memories include coming to Lake Compounce
My favorite thing about this park is the candy shop. Best candy selection ever. Literally had a dream about it not that long ago. Love Lake Compounce
The path out back actually leads to a family raft ride and when I went last time I remember it being pretty okay
The rafts always get really long lines, but the ride is very cool
I dunno if they still have it but there's also a ski lift over there too.
I’ve had quite an experience here for my first visit in 2017. Boulder Dash was my 200th Roller Coaster, but it almost didn’t work out that way. After planning, it turned out Wildcat never opened during the entire season. So in order for me to get Boulder Dash to be my 200th, I needed that very kiddie credit, which also happened to be the literal most strict kiddie credit of all time. Long story short, I SOMEHOW, after a lifetime’s worth of stress, was able to get that credit and got BD to be my 200th. Turns out that after I rode it, it happened to be opening day for Wildcat’s GCI makeover... after I got off of Boulder Dash (it opened late in the day)... Left that day with 201 credits.
wow, talk about nothing went has planned, lol
No extra cost for Dino Expedition!
To wrap things up, I had a good time watching this video. Is it a perfect video? No. But it does have some nice aspect for kids and families. Overall, I’d recommend this video.
😂😂
Lol
FrankintheWater _ your just another gp trying to criticize. Typical
United coaster Enthusiasts it was a joke lmao chill
Hi Taylor, glad you enjoyed my once home park and I am glad I got to go with you, The Dinosaurs alive is free by the way! :)
"Hey kid, wanna help me get this credit?"
I was just thinking, just go up to a kid and ride with him and say that you aren't a stranger
Taylor: I'm not a stranger.
Random Kid: Ok.
*Credit Achieved*

Alex Animovi haha
Been there, done that, I have no shame :-P
I have candy...
I went here during a camp trip and I had a great time. Favorite ride their was boulder dash
Hey. The reason it seems a bit like Kennywood is mainly 'coz Kennywood Entertainment owns Lake Compounce
It's also operated by Parques Reunidos which also operates Kennywood.
Actually it’s own by a Spain company
This is my home park. Gotta say its loads of fun, and the water park is completely underrated. Also the Wildcat coaster is almost 100 years old. Being built on the sight of the original green dragon coaster in 1927
The drop tower is called down time?😂
i Coasters it should be an Intamin
It’s themed to Top Thrill Dragster
Gotta love irony.
Yes XD
Yeah! Did you know it was themed to Top Thrill Dragster?
I came here with my dad once. We had a great time.
“It’s good for all shapes and sizes” oh ok so o can bring my 6 by 6 cubic friends here.
lol
Hey I see by your pic that you must be a Garfield fan.
0:52 it’s funny how much we care about kiddy credits... also did you expect the ride op to let you? They do have to follow instructions
Following the path next to Boulder Dash at the end of it there used to be a ski lift ride that brought you all the way up the mountain. It was a slow, long ride but the views were fantastic. They shut it down because the restraints were terrible and there were too many accidents.
yesturday i went on a field trip to lake compounce with the whole grade and i had a blast
Lake Compounce was my home park for 20 years until I moved to Wisconsin. Love that park, it will always be one of my favorites. I remember some of the older rides that are no more: Rotor, a ride that spun you around and stuck you to the wall, Twisted Sisters waterslides, the Lake waterslides, Music Express, and Enterprise. Gone but not forgotten.
I had a guy puke on me during walking off the rotor back when I was a kid
@@tim8993awesome!
Hey they have a intamin themed drop tower
World Wide Rollercoasters lol
Not ALL intamin but most
When I used to lived in Connecticut as a teenager I enjoyed Riverside amusement park AKA 6flags up in Agawam Mass more than Lake Compounce.
But each had it's own charm. 6flags had the oval stock car racing I loved to go see and the huge ferris wheel over looking the entire park and the river. Lake compounce has the hill it's beside and is a hidden treat with no long lines and a the wooden ride that goes by the water and hill
I have been going to this park since I was like 1 year old and I never wne5 on bolder dash till last summer I loved it!
I visited the park in August 2017. The lake in the water park looks great and the rides are good for the park.
Mr Goober
@@debradelorge2788 pardon
We went to their camp ground one year and we got there at the start went on boulder dash ten times in a row then phobia 5 times
Loved this Park! Went to their October brew fest... awesome experience! Honestly, I’ve been too parks in almost every state, his was my most memorable experience! Great Halloween vibe, Brews, a full bar, all the rides were open AND the haunted graveyard! Great time... just need to change their food!
It’s such a perfect park to me, even though it has flaws it’s perfect
This park is my home town park in the summer I go everyday it’s amazing
the food is great there, you’ve just gotta know where to find it. potato patch and pink’s are the best.
Pinks tho, you can't miss it
Pink's is freaking historic. I've never eaten at that weird pig house place he showed in the footage once
I've gone to the park my entire life. It may not be the best, but for people that grew up with the park, it's incredible
lake compounce was my first amusement park and i enjoyed it so much. my first roller coaster was wild cat and it was super intense, along with phobia which almost scarred me for life but you know, it's okay. i enjoyed all of the rides and it's a family friendly park. love it.
I’ve been waiting for this video for a long time!!!
You did awesome. Reviewing lake compounce
I went here in 8th grade for our senior trip and it was really fun!
Thanx for the review...Going to Kennywood this June...
Im going on a field trip today there
Taylor: "They removed the free soda"
Me: Pepsi products. No loss.
Used to live in RI and my family and I went every summer for years.
Great vid! I agree a lot with your opinions on the park. I tend to go here at least once a summer. One fun fact is that it's the oldest amusement park in America.
I can’t wait to go this summer
That odd walkway that seems to lead out of the park but skirts Boulder Dash and the lake - it’s worth taking that walkway to the end, where you can get on a train that goes around the lake, giving the best views of the whole park and the mountain, and ending up near the entrance of the park.
River rapids
Was thinking of cominb back here. Havent been there since the kids were little...oh no wait till my oldest now 16, finds out about no more free soda. Noooooo! Guess it's a pass for us. I do miss Boulderdash. Awesome coaster
Lake Compounce's other great signature ride was their amazing sky ride that used to go hundreds of feet up Compounce Mountain. But it is no more--I think they closed it due to safety concerns; it was hard to evacuate in an emergency.
I actually enjoyed their Boomerang. I also like the raft ride, Thunder Rapids--once on a light day they let us just go around three times and we got really soaked.
It's also got a pretty good water-park section. I like the lazy river that has a tube slide in the middle of it.
Finally a vid on lake compunce
I go there a lot because my summer camp goes there on a trip. Fun Times!
It makes sense that Lake Compounce is like Kennywood. In the 1990s, Kennywood bought Lake Compounce, and they have been sister parks ever since.
Great park review!
they removed the free soda because when people would get their own soda they would spill, and a bunch of bees would go after all the soda. I remember times where bees were so crowded around to soda stations i wouldnt even go over because i was so terrified.
2:00 PM is my favorite time of day!
Coaster Jackson Mine too!
Mine in 11:00
Coaster Jackson
Best park! Kidding me. I'm a Coaster fanatic! I spend hundreds at six flags to make sure i get the top flash pass. Great Aventure is my favorite, but i grew up in this park. I'm 30 years old, and i still guy with like 3 guys friends, and we scream on every ride. DEF a good park.
I know this video is old but the pathway leads to a raft ride and a ski lift 🤣 also back when it was first made it was only in Bristol but the owner wanted to run for mayor in Southington so he convinced them to shift the town lines 😃 (it may have been originally in Southington and he wanted to be in Bristol I’m not positive) it was also owned by Hershey for a little while before they returned to Pennsylvania. I grew up at this park 😊
I do miss the free soda but I don't miss those bees that used to hang around the soda machines all the time.
For the food, you gotta go to Pinks and get a chili cheese dog or burger. It’s really good!!!! Also, that pathway that goes alongside Boulder Dash leads you to the Thunder Rapids ride. If you don’t feel like walking, you can take the trolley that runs along the path. It’s very convenient and efficient. Love Lake Compounce. Also to address your point at 3:56, Lake Compounce is owned by the same company as Kennywood which is Palace Entertainment, so perhaps that’s why it had a similar feel. Haven’t been to Kennywood yet though but I really want to visit there as well!!!!
When I went on boulder dash half of the cart wasnt on the stack going up the hill it was tilting but the rest of the ride was fine.
Well I've been to this par twice and the last time that I went to lake compounce was in 2016 which is part of my New England vacation.
I live in ct and this place is amazing
Lake Compounce is a theme park you go to slightly drunk after the sun sets for those old school theme park atmospheres. It's like that movie Adventure Land. yeah it's not the most intense ride park, but it's a chill place under the right circumstances.
Never tried the burgers but their pizza and hot dogs are great.
How did I completely miss the fact this park had a Sky Rocket II? I guess I have only heard about this park in relation to Boulderdash...I'm amazed to see it actually has other rides! ;-)
Awesome!
I went to this park a couple years ago and loved Boulder Dash despite it being kind of jittery but Wildcat straight up bruised me.
Going here for a senior trip
I live in South Windsor, CT and its an equal distance for me to get to Lake Compounce and Six Flags New England and I always choose to go here because of the shorter lines and formerly the free soda
I went there so many times and the bolder dash is a super fash roller coaster
I love lake COMPOUNCE I go there all the time! Phobia is a really fun roller coaster and they have a bunch of other fun rides! The only problem I've had there was once I was in Boulder Dash and the cart was tilting off the track! Other than that it's really funnnn
Jimmy's Wave Swinger - My Favorite Attraction at Lake All-Stars in Bristol, Connecticut, United States of America
I went to Lake Compounce in 2015 and rode Boulder Dash.
Thank you!!.
Just waiting for that relocated Vekoma SLC to come to the park.
I went here 6 years ago while at an economics summer camp at Yale. It got rained out after an hour...
Wildcat was the first coaster I ever rode and it was so bad that I didn’t ride another one for 2 years. Didn’t even get on zoomerang at the same park
My home park!! Sucks I missed you their. The free soda is still gonna be their but you have to be a platinum or diamond season pass holder which I was last year.
Vince LaFrancesca ah, gotcha. I was unaware of that.
Taylor the path that runs next to boulder dash is a path that also leads to a river rapids ride and a picnic area
Colin 37 And the train!
Wow! I just checked the web site for this park. $48 for a regular admission plus pay for parking! I liked Adventure Park USA in Maryland's pricing; you only pay for a pass if you're going on the rides and free parking. Same with Knoebels, free parking, pay as you go and you can bring your dog (just not on the rides).
Lake Compounce and Kennywood are both owned by Parques Reunidos. :)
Best place ever♥️
im going to lake compounce in 2 days, ill edit this comment on my thoughts when i go there!
A bit weird of an input but Honestly I would prefer a gravel parking lot over a Paved one. At least with the gravel it looks more natural.
Can you do a top 10 parks
TechKnow 44 Yes! Taylor, do it!!
I have been going to lake Compounce for over 9 years now. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me and I’ll try to get back to you. Sucks that we couldn’t get a good opening day celebration this year
My home park!
I know why it feels like kennywood! It was owned by Kennywood for a while. Don’t know the exact details but I have heard a bunch from my SO’s family who have connections to the park
I've gone to Lake Compounce so many times I live in Connecticut so these are one of the parks that I have access to decide other parks but man that sucks that they took out the freestyle that I was also one of the reasons why people go to the park the last time I went to Lake Compounce was back in 2015 I enjoyed my time there I always do I'm not a fan of the haunted house thing with the blasters it's not interesting to me at all but great review great video
Wow 😮👍
We went to LC yesterday . Half of the rides were broken. Wildcat coaster broke, Drop tower broken.. They hold Boulder dash down until 12 o clock everyday
I’ve been on the twister and I gotta say, it was really smooth. It went really high, relatively fast and is perfect for people of all ages. I’ve also been on the airplane, really relaxing and smooth. Another really good one is the more younger ones, like the hot air balloon. It really, it goes high, and spins. Like really spin it really fast it’s the ride of my life. People also say the Ferris wheel is high. Is average height! Hebron Fair defiantly has more SUITABILITY for kids, however there are extremely fun rides here that are actually really smooth and awesome. If your into competition, I recommend the games defiantly. Really fun games, not to hard but a challenge at times. Kiddie coaster is also a attraction for kids. Gonna say, a little short, but defiantly has its benefits for the younger roller coaster lovers! And the person filming did forget one thing which is the waterpark. Totally optional, but some of the stuff i recommend for children. Plenty of rides and entertainment here. You made my day again, Lake compounce.
I went 2 weeks ago and I said I'm going on any ride I'm tall enough for and I'm 54 inches( I'm 10 ) and were walking past phobia IM TALL FOR IT THANK THE LORD THAT IT WAS CLOSED THAT DAY YESSS
No it’s the same price with the Dino’s also I agree the food isn’t good the food at crock pot is good and a butifull spot is down near the beach it’s a walk way witch goes near the old entrance of the boat. At the end there is a river rapids ride and a area to see the ride and people on it located near the company food area. The ride that’s purple and orange is called phobia and I’d love a video on like the water rides because I think the water park is almost as amazing.
Watching in my new merchhhhh
Also you should go back come Halloween time, they have a huge haunted walkthrough at night and all the rides are still open! It’s really a lot of fun but if you do go I suggest getting there early because the line fills quickly
Nice dude
They took the free soda away because of the bees. Kids were getting stung and having allergic reactions.
Sofia Playz CURSE YOU BEES!!!!!!
The pizza at lake compunse is amazing
I Loved The Free Soda🥤🥤🥤It Was Good While It Lasted🤷🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
Did you do the sky ride? It's at the end of the BD pathway by the rapids ride
I go there every year
Small park because the main park area is on what used to be the parking lot. Back in the 1980s the parking was moved to the other side of the road and they created the under the road entrance. There was also a big outdoor concert area. You should ride Wildcat. It was built in 1927, it's one of the worlds older operating coasters.
Hershy tore it down and built a new one. Not a single original piece of wood in it
My jazz band plays here at a parade :)
