My ice maker had died a few days before the Easy Release ice cube tray review. I ordered while I was still watching. I use it every day. I love that you can make multiple trays of ice and store the ice without taking up a lot of freezer space. And popping the ice out of the tray is genuinely satisfying.
The upgrade to that ice maker is the GE Opal 2.0. It's incredible. Makes way more ice, makes it way quicker, has a reservoir tank on the side so you don't have to fill it up as often. Our family of 4 loves ice and use a lot. We only have to fill the tank once a day. But if you just had 1 or 2 people using it you only need to fill the tank maybe every 3rd day.
I would like to add MY number 1 pick for Ice cube trays. I ordered them on Amazon this past April, and found them so useful I ordered more of them in May. They are DOQAUS lidded ice cube trays with silicone bottoms in every cell. You can pop out one at a time. Great if you have a drink you want iced, but I found another use for them, - freezing ice cube sized leftover freezables, like spaghetti sauce and gravy. I use tape to make labels for the lids. Anytime I need a small amount of gravy on my potatoes, for instance, I just pop out one or two gravy cubes into a microwave safe bowl and heat them up. No mess, no making another whole batch of gravy for just one serving. Who among us hasn't ended up with partial jars of spaghetti sauce getting moldy in the back of the fridge, or more of that delicious homemade gravy from the big turkey at Thanksgiving that you don't know what to do with? Folks who live alone often can't use up leftover sauces etc. fast enough. Freezing in regular trays is not as good because you can't remove just a few at a time.
I got the gravity salt and pepper mills after your review, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They are perfect. My mom broke her wrist back in April and still has trouble using the twisting motion for our traditional grinders. These were so good.
Good comment. A lot of these kinds of products are intended for people with disabilities of limited use of their limbs. They just happen to get marketed to the general public for scale
I got the easy release ice cube tray because of your review and agree whole heartedly! It hides my ice from getting the freezer flavor and has been so easy to use! I love how compact it is and I’ve noticed I’ve never had no ice because it’s not a chore to remember to fill up the tray before putting it all back into the freezer at one time. I’m glad it’s number one! Thanks, James!
That JOGO straw is the greatest thing I've got in my office! No coffee maker, no extra space needed at my desk or the break room! Just coffee and hot water in my mug!
@@prissylovejoy702 The straw helps prevent coffee stains on your teeth (that's kind of secondary for this though), but it's the convenience on the JOGO. I don't have to have a coffee maker, presses, or anything other than ground coffee and hot water to put in the cup. The JOGO has it's own filtration, silicone cover so that your lips don't get burned while drinking and is extremely easy to clean and put in it's holder in my desk drawer at work. For a super busy medical practice this is a game changing product for us. There's no room for coffee makers or other gadgets to brew with at our nurse's station, and some days it's pretty hard to get away long enough to get down to the break room, get coffee made, then go back later to get a cup. With this I can spoon a little coffee into a cup, pour in super hot water from any of our exam rooms, the lab or even the nurse's restroom we have right next to us. If they made a filtered cup version of this (that worked as well) I'd be just as happy.
When you do your "has it held up after a year" video next year will you put a year review on that coffee grounds straw? I'd love to hear how it's held up and how easy it is to clean.
Great Video! Good reviews. That one on the Walking Stick/ Chair Combo: looks too much like a "thick" gun, with a stock and all. This will lead to several Police Alerts, especially in the US! But just imagine how it will be when the Cops all come up, sirens blaring, lights flashing, guns drawn: and meet an older gentleman just peacefully sitting down just calmly looking at them! 😅
Love how you do this at the start of December to give us a chance to get gifts. We love your content because of your pragmatic approach to everything you do. Excited for 2024's products!
I have the salt and pepper mills and ice tray. I freakin luvvvv them! The blue light on the mills really help see how much seasoning is coming out. And Ive purchased ALOT of various ice cub trays because my ice cube maker on my fridge is broke. But this is tray is by far best and reasonably priced! Thanks for sharing!
My mom has bad arthritis and always has trouble with gripping and twisting ice trays. The fact that with that one, you just have to put weight on the top to pop them out, that’s a real game changer. No manual dexterity required. Just ordered it for her, thanks for the recommendation!
Tipping tradirional ice cube trays on their side & running hot water on the sides/bottom just to slightly start to melt them helps them slide right out, but don't try to twist them until you've done the hot water. Also, slightly overfill8ng them until they develop overhanging corners when you do crack them gives you something to hook onto w/ your fingers. Underfilled ones sometimes stick more. But, that's traditional ice cube trays.
I have candle as The Candle By The Hour at 15:47 and it doesn't need to start with a 2 inches light. You can pull them as long as the length starts "bending" them 😉. 4 inches is no problem at all, Unless the summer heat makes them start melting 😂
I love that you did this before Christmas, it reaffirmed some of the items I bought as gifts and some how I must have missed a video because I saw an item I had not seen that will make a great gift. I have the ice maker and salt and pepper shaker and have been using them regularly for a long time and also love them!
For the Ninja soda maker, I just used $2 for 4x 2ltr sparkling water with $1 32oz concentrated fruit squash, you can make it as flavourful as you want based on how much squash you use - a lot cheaper!
You can save money with the Ninja Thirsti by opening up an empty flavor pod (the cap twists off) and refill it with Soda Stream flavors. Cheaper and more flavors to choose from.
I’m a chef and the pepper mills are not only useful for people who have strength or mobility issues in their hands, but being able to use it one handed so when you’ve got one dirty hand you can still use it without getting it dirty. Very helpful when handling chicken and other meat.
You know what? Every time I saw them in a video it would kind of tick me off, because I would say to myself "why are you so lazy?" Now you got to charge and recharge your pepper and salt? But when you mentioned strength or mobility issues with the hands and having one hand dirty and one hand clean, it does come in handy. I hate to admit it but you've changed my opinion on it. Lol
@@PhillyLittles I used to think the same way, but then I was cooking with my grandma who has arthritis and she couldn’t use my pepper grinder, but she whipped one of those battery powered guys out of her purse and changed my mind about them forever. She was even stoked that it had a flashlight on the end so she could see what she was seasoning. You just never know what’s in your granny’s purse. 😂😂😂
It’s my favorite video of the year from you! Excellent choices. I have a pepper mill very similar to your pick and I love it. Mine also has a switch so that if it tips over, it won’t accidentally turn on. I also have the Frigidaire ice machine that’s a couple of years older than yours, but it still works great. I keep a container of water in the fridge specifically for ice making because cold water always makes better cubes from the get-go.
I bought the ice cube tray. I do a lot of freeze drying, and when making little bite sized things, like jello or even pumpkin pie bites, my fingers freeze, popping them all out of the moulds. I think this might be the perfect solution!
You're 100% right on about the Vacutrim. I bought it on your recommendation when you first reviewed it and it's been my go-to beard trimmer ever since. The vacuum works, but the trimmer, on its own is so good, I'd buy it even without the vac.
Yea, Norelco had a similar item about 15 years ago. I went through two of them before giving up because they started to either not hold a charge or not charge at all.
Thanks for all your reviews in 2023. Always interesting and enjoyable to watch. I'm on the lookout for the OGrate and the Frigidaire ice maker, based on your reviews. Whenever you film outdoors, I'm astonished by the goldness of the environment. I would have a hard time, missing something green around me 😊
I think one of these rewards he should give to himself for being the best overall annual product reviewer of all times ❤️ He dressed up like a gentleman just like he is looking good 💯🎉
Princess Sheetal, You have been recommended the black tea candles from before I start to watch your channel. I have been looking for them. I personally have never been able to find them. Can you start to offer them on your Esty shop ?
I was finally able to test the Open run headphones at an electronic store recently, they fit really well even with the fact I wear glasses. Will probably buy a pair shortly. Thanks for the video
A few years ago I started watching your site, I even subscribed. For some reason you were gone without me noticing, why?, I don't know. Anyway, once again I found you, and boy am I glad. Seeing the Ta-Da chair review was a stroke of luck. At 72 y/o I occasionally get pooped while walking and this is what I've been looking for. I can now resume many of my favorite activities, and not be worried about finding a resting bench or seat. Thanks so much.
number 5: we use reverse osmosis filtered water for drinking and ice, so we go through these things at a rate of about 1 a year and have tried several brands. The Frigidaire's only fault was that the flapper that gets the ice out will break at the hinge after about 6-8 months of use (24/7 use for which it was probably not designed, lol). It didnt end up with a dead fan (which some of the off brands did), or a bad compressor, but the flap breaking was a sad death because everything else about it was good. Basically it is a great add on ice maker for events and such, but if you are like us and use them 24/7, they will probably break within a year
Great job James. I love your channel. Your voice has a pleasant tone and you don’t scream at me like a lot of other you tubers do. You get right to the point and don’t go on and on. This was an interesting batch of products. And I don’t know why, but I love the worst of the year videos even better
I have had 2 different models of the after shockz bone conduction headsets. I LOVE them. Great for a business environment that only allows one ear bud at a time.
Hi James. The bone conduction headphones are fantastic. My husband and I have been using them for about 4+ years. Some of the people at his company also use them. I love your videos. Do you have items you've put on your best lists that you don't like anymore? I'd like to see a video like that. 😊
The best thing I bought this year from Amazon was the chom chom pet hair remover. I have 2 cats and this thing is single handed the best pet hair remover I have ever tried❤
The ice maker…. I’ve owned for 2yrs it has ran this whole time, other than to clean (once a month takes about 30mins). They are reliable and a solid product. However…….. They get dirty quickly, and is a challenge to clean throughly. (Toothbrush and vinegar, with through rinse)
I have that ice cube tray maker thing because I'm at the mercy of my apartment complex and they don't supply ice makers in our refrigerators. This thing is awesome,
I actually bought the ice tray. Its a lot easier for people with bad hands to use. I don't do the pushing because I figure at some point the points will push through. I just push down a can and roll it over the silicon. Works great and easier on my hands.
One more time, you nailed, kudus for you. I've seen each of your videos and I like them all. I love the way to test the products and the feeling/emotion you put in, it's incredible. Thanks for all those reviews and keep doing it. Regards from Montreal, CANADA! :)
I've purchased items that he recommends and I've never regretted any of them. Spot on reviews. Now he's got me curious about the Ninja Thirsti. Thank you, James!
Shokz makes a great product and as an autistic adult with four small children it's been a game changer for managing stimuli in public settings without totally compromising safety and awareness of my surroundings
My husband has been using the Shokz bone conduction headset for years. He had inner ear replacement surgery and has an implant so he is limited on which headphones he can use. He’s finally worn out his first pair, so we’re buying another one. Like I said he’s had these for many years, and they’ve always worked perfectly! Buy them!
I have the Shock headphones. Bought them about a year ago. They work nicely especially since I'm a 1/3 deaf in my right ear. Sometimes it's hard to hear people on the phone, it's a nice alternative.
I have a question about the tada chair. It doesn't look height adjustable, and fairly heavy. As someone who does currently use a cane due to an injury, and is not tall, but taller than average at 6'4"... not sure it would work in my situation, i like the idea of it though.
@hectorg5809 being 39, i have noticed this over the years. Its made for the majority. Which makes sense, to be honest. I don't fault any company for it, it's just rather annoying there aren't many options for either heights.
I have the candle by the hour. I have a hard time getting the wax to go through the metal holder. I like how it looks though so I keep it out without lighting it! 🤣😂❤
Great Reviews! Happy to see the Ice Cube Tray I won in your Giveaway got 1st Place! I Love it & use it every day, several times a day. Thank you again 🎉 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Every time I watch this channel it reminds me of comedian George Carlin saying Americans buy shit they don't need with money they don't have on credit 😂
You're gravity shakers remind me of my son's automatic corkscrew it too comes with a fancy light and when you have put it in and it is doing it's job it literally lights up, wonderful little machines that are a little like toys that are actually useful for people who can't or don't know how to use a regular corkscrew or don't have the strength for an ordinary pepper or salt grinder, I don't want to use a coffee grinder to grind it for them. But I do like them. And I think there would be very useful whether you're a handicapped or not.😊
I have the Shokz headphones and love them. I use them all the time at the gym, on my walks and even at work for phone calls. Best investment in a while!!
I can tell its an award ceremony because you have a jacket on haha Not sold on #10 as Ninja doesnt bring anything new to the game that sodastream havent already made and cheaper and we know Ninja, they never stick with a product before creating a new improved version every few months.
Looking dam handsome for the countdown. Two things missing....Bailey & Brandon. Thanks for all you do that, at times, saves us a boatload of money to avoid the junk.
Thank you for testing gadgets that cen be used with 1 hand. Two years ago my fiance had an accident that resulted in 14 procedures and the amputation of her hand, then right arm (just below the elbow) This caused us to search for single hand tools /gadgets. We have found good options for a jar opener, a butter dispenser and shoelaces that do not need tying. We have bought and tried multiple products advertised to zip and button clothing, dispense shampoo and dispense toothpaste but they all suck and barely work with two hands.
I need that ta da chair!!! I love taking my grandsons rock hounding but have horrible back problems. So I just need to stop and sit for s minute to relieve the pain. This would be perfect!
How long did the batteries last in your salt and pepper grinders last? We put new batteries in and used one time left for four days and tried again and nothing
The table top ice maker has been a real game changer for me. My fridge just doesn’t make enough ice for my family. Making a few batches with the Frigidaire really keeps up. I use it every day.
I got ours a couple of years ago. My husband was skeptical at first, but it gets used daily. I keep a container of water in the fridge ready for making ice. We found that water out of the fridge makes bigger ice cubes right away rather than building up to bigger ones after two or three drops.
I love your channel ,I think I`m not alone in worrying about ingesting microplastics and plastic eventually getting in our seas and water supplies .Maybe or maybe not harm us but a lot of gadgets create plastic particles or end there life in our trash .Keep up the good work testing gadgets so we can buy knowing what works and doesnt work!!!
Woo, great video as always, Sir! Quite enjoyed it, and I really enjoyed the list this year... I have to pretty much agree on all of them and the placement of each! Loved the editing and graphics, as well!
I have the salt and pepper mills ..they are great ..only thing i dont like is the adjustor gets jammed up ..but dor me no biggie ..1 setting is all i need on salt..pepper still works perfect after 3 years
I was in love with my Frigidaire Ice Maker but I'm a gadget lover lol however after approx 90 days it slowed down to making 2-3 cubes and I returned it. I have a friend that has 2 and no problems so I guess I just had a defeated one. I didn't get another one because we use a lot of ice and we could never get enough ice in time plus we used a lot of water. We went back to buying bags of ice.
I always love how James dresses up for the annual awards!
Sigh unzips
I know right 😊
Agreed!

Freezer flavor? Have you tried baking soda or something? Dead bodies do tend to smell like dead bodies if in a morgue, cemetery, or your freezer. Lol.
James, you always do a great job of reviewing products.
Do you talk the way you write?
My mom has a ice maker and she loves it.
I agree. I just bought this based on his review, and I love it!

I always look forward to this annual review. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
the #1 is the one I bought due to your review on it, I been verry happy with it over the last months. great to see it made #1 on your list too.
I've purchased items that he recommends and I've never regretted any of them. Spot on reviews. Now he's got me curious about the Ninja Thirsti. Thank you, James!
I love the # 1 product. I watched your original review... needed a new ice maker and decided to try the ice maker. It works awesome! Highly recommend.
Best reviews on RUclips 👍 happy holidays
Love your channel man... keep up the good work! 🎉
Looking very dapper today! I vote for the coffee straw.
ninja thirsti. ta-da chair. gravity mills. ograte. master opener . frigidaire lce maker. jogo brew staw . vacutrim .shokz openrun. wrap buddies . candle by the hour . easy release lce cube tray
I have a question about the tada chair. It doesn't look height adjustable, and fairly heavy. As someone who does currently use a cane due to an injury, and is not tall, but taller than average at 6'4"... not sure it would work in my situation, i like the idea of it though.
As you know, the world isn't really made for very tall or very short people. I hope you can find something that fits
@hectorg5809 being 39, i have noticed this over the years. Its made for the majority. Which makes sense, to be honest. I don't fault any company for it, it's just rather annoying there aren't many options for either heights.
Glad to hear you say….”those that don’t mind the price” on the ninja. The long term cost of refills and co2 make this even LESS affordable.
I have the candle by the hour. I have a hard time getting the wax to go through the metal holder. I like how it looks though so I keep it out without lighting it! 🤣😂❤
8:23 Just want to note, I have an ice maker like #5 and it is a royal pain to clean. I had to get a reach tool to get the mold out of the back areas.
I don't have any experience with them, but do you leave it open to dry in between uses?
Great Reviews!
Happy to see the Ice Cube Tray I won in your Giveaway got 1st Place! I Love it & use it every day, several times a day. Thank you again 🎉
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
At 2:55 you could just learn to squat and use our embedded chair LOL! Thanks for the video!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! So informative and imo HONEST!! I can’t tell you how many things I have purchased on your reviews!!
I have the straw for coffee but I found final press and LOVE it a lot more
Every time I watch this channel it reminds me of comedian George Carlin saying Americans buy shit they don't need with money they don't have on credit 😂
And I think there would be very useful whether you're a handicapped or not.😊
I enjoy your product reviews. I don't see myself buying any of these but there is always a chance. Thanks for the top-notch product reviews,
I am happy I just found your channel. Thank's! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family!
I was looking forward to this video. I appreciate James testing products and giving his review. Unfortunately, most items are sold out already!
The ice cube tray was the best of 2023 and I thought the can opener was number two, I bought both from the recommendation of Freakin Reviews.
I have the Shokz headphones and love them. I use them all the time at the gym, on my walks and even at work for phone calls. Best investment in a while!!
Love your videos, thanks for keeping them professional and entertaining,I will be researching the vacutrim.
I can tell its an award ceremony because you have a jacket on haha Not sold on #10 as Ninja doesnt bring anything new to the game that sodastream havent already made and cheaper and we know Ninja, they never stick with a product before creating a new improved version every few months.
It's great seeing the production quality of this channel get better and better every year. Been watching since your purple pillow review!
Looking dam handsome for the countdown. Two things missing....Bailey & Brandon.
Thanks for all you do that, at times, saves us a boatload of money to avoid the junk.
Thank you for testing gadgets that cen be used with 1 hand. Two years ago my fiance had an accident that resulted in 14 procedures and the amputation of her hand, then right arm (just below the elbow)
This caused us to search for single hand tools /gadgets.
I love the ez release ice cube tray. The cubes are perfect for my water bottle and the pooch loves them too.
I've had the pepper and salt shakers for over a year. They are amazing!
I have the pepper mill, it is great but it was flinging pepper pretty far in every direction, so i switched it to salt and i like it better for salt.
We bought the s & p grinders. 6 AA BATTERIES EACH but they're great!
Shokz definitely deserved their spot on the list. I've had mine for a while, Open Move instead of Open Run, but they're by far my favorite headphones.
They used to use those candles as timers....notably when teenagers were sitting unsupervised. A Courting Candle.
Not seen your videos in a year or so, this one is now top recommended.
Thank you for the review of previous items recommended 💚
holy how he looks sharp as heck in that jacket lol
