This reminded me how much i hate working on cars. I will definitely pay someone to do this job for me.

I was nervous your lug nuts were going to give out before the axle nut Lol. On mine they are exposed i think id leave the wheel and weight as a back up if mine was that tight. Great video though

Thanks for the video Marc. You know your not supposed to be in that glaring sun right? Lol.
About to tackle this myself on passenger side. I need to replace the dreaded motor mounts and may drop the tube while there to gain access if it helps.
I see you did the ball joint flip as well. Was thinking I may change upper bushings too and doing the knockouts for more camber adjust-ability if I'm going to take that upper ball joint loose again.
Looks like it may be on the stands for a minute.
Appreciate it Marc, keep moving, and keep wheeling :-)

Ya i wasn't strong enough to do the motor mounts myself,, battling stage 4 cancer . Trying to keep moving and grooving the best I can . Doing these kind of repairs is very difficult for me but I refuse to roll over lol. Ive managed to get good allignment s without punching the knock outs out . Ball joint flip helps just keep an eye on keeping the bolts tight . Lock tight us a good idea of course. Id also suggest putting the 1/4 spacers under your mounts . I hope it all goes well for ya . Thanks for the kind comments. Sincerely Marc

@@marchanses2343 Thanks for the reply Marc. I did the 3" spacers and tweaked the torsion bars most of the way in and leveled to both sides. Not bottomed out though. Think I ended up with around 4-1/2 lift. Alingment seems to be real good with a level on the wheels. I used Bravada (S10- Blazer) springs in the rear with air shocks. I use it a lot for work and haul decent loads with it. She does sit level with 30" tires 😀 A little bit of mods on front wheel wells and no rub. Compared to when I first got her she looks to be a foot higher . Love parking next to "Normal" Astro's 😂😂😂
These Astro's are addicting huh? Lol.
I know its tough but you're doing the best thing you can do. Keep moving.
A buddy of mine went through the same thing and that's what he did. It went into remission and it paid off.
Stay strong and and keep kicking Astro 🚐 Marc

Great video, Marc. After you installed the tulip with new clips, how did you pull it back out? Pry or grab and pull with something? Or is that hole threaded? I will soon be doing TONS of front end work on my rig, and will be changing the clips. Already ordered them!

Great video, but why not just pull the brake caliper? Is the line tied through the knuckle? Or was that the wheel speed sensor hanging you up? It was much simpler on my 2001 ZR2 sonoma to replace a CV axle after a mudbog
