Console Logs:
1. Press Windows Key + R to open up the Run Program dialog.
2. Copy and paste this %AppData%\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs to open the logs directory.
3. Order by Date modified and open the latest (most recent) one with a text editor (Notepad will do)

Thanks for the vid, was having trouble only to realize that DMF and DML were 2 separate mods on the nexus.
That's how tutorials should be done. Quick, easy to follow, straight to the point. There is no need to make a 20 minute video about something that takes 2 minutes.

i do all the steps right but i always get dtkit-patch failted to patch darktide
access is denited. (os error 5) and when i run it as admin i get cant find path to database
Hm I did a quick search and I am not sure what could be wrong either. Make sure you follow all steps correctly but if you did idk, Do you have the Microsoft store version? Because then the folder structure is slightly different.
Also check if there is an update for dmf or the framework.
I assume executing toggle_darktide_mods.bat is causing the error but what fixed a few wierd things for me is just toggeling mods on and off again (as simple as it sounds).
I also dont really understand what you mean with "I cant find path to database"
But what I would highly suggest is checking the discord server linked in the videos description, they are very helpfull and you will probably find people with similar issues there.

@@yogynutsmaybe try to override the files you copied from darktide frame work again. And make sure to override the previous files.
I was able to recreate the error 5 by removing dmf so make sure the folder with the darktide mod framework aka "dmf" is in the mods folder

the toggle_darktide_mods does nothing when I "press any key" If I run it as admin it says "error patching the darktide bundle database"
the "press any key" part will just close the window, you can close it by clicking the x of the window like any other as well.
You could try to copy over the mod loader files (the ones that overwrite a few game files) and then click it again. Also make sure dmf is in the right folder.
When I launch the game I get weird error messages on the right side of my screen saying something along the lines of [mod manager error file is invalid or missing] however, the mods are working in game. Did I do something weird or is this intentional?
sometimes these smaller errors can be ignored because that's just one tiny aspect of a mod that might not be working perfectly but the rest is fine. These things change quickly with game updates and then introduce these smaller errors.
If you want to double check go to the modders discord linked in the description and ask what these errors mean (maybe the mod author didnt know they exist yet and can then fix it)

Any reason for not using vortex and doing all this manually?
no not really. I just didn't know this plugin existed when making the tutorial and the difference isnt too big when you dont change your mods constantly.
But yea maybe I'll do a follow-up showing how that works at some point. I mean it really is just 3 clicks or something
for me it says everything is invalid, doesent work
need a bit more detail here.. what do you mean by "everything is invalid" ?
@@janotil1778 when i start the game it shows on the right side mods are invalid frameork true level etc nothing works for me sadly
@@loko2131 these "invalid" errors can result from a few things for example a typo in the load order file or a outdated mod version, maybe you didnt unpack the mods to the base folder or renamed the load order file itself? If this is all not the case maybe try to toggle your mods on and off and if all fails check the discord server in the video description. There is unfortunately only so much I can do (or know myself tbh) in these comments here.

hm if nothing is working maybe check the integrity of your game files, or even reeinstall it, then try it exactly how I showed it here step by step.

it should work the same, you will only have to find a different game directory.
Yours should look something like that:

btw am I the only one having problems with using mods while playing darktied ?
definitely not haha if your mods have worked fine before an update chances are you havent reloaded your mods as shown in the vid or the mod simply broke.

Can mods get me banned?
I'd say very very unlikely but chances are not 0.
However as long as you stick to the mods that are in the nexus mods page and dont use any mods that are against modding guidelines you should be 100% fine.
Also no one got banned for using mods so far, fatshark is very very chill in this regard.

when i download the mod loader the "toggle_darktide_mods" doesnt have the ".bat" at the end.
any ideas?
the .bat is like a .mp4 describing the type of file it is. I assume you simply do not have it turned on in windows that these endings are always shown (which is totally fine).
So it doesn't matter as long as you get the pop up window when you double click it it works.
