Yes, this seat is fantastic, and unimaginable. But only for long trips. Because it will cost you the maximum such a price difference !!! You realize. But it would be worth it if you tried a luxury train: my favorite is the Orient-Express, as in Hercule Poirot. But I'm afraid of the price, hmm. Lol.
Generally we love them here too, however it's not that black and white. None of them is perfect so most of the passengers do not stick to one carrier and they change them constantly. 😁
Thanks for watching! Yes, Leo and RegioJet offers good services, but Leo and RegioJet mainly operate open-access lines, on these lines ČD also has very high quality trains (Pendolino / Railjet). In addition, ČD offers many more destinations and connections. Btw. I'm a fan of ČD :-D

Tak tohle je snad tvé nejlepší video! Výborné detailní záběry, mnoho informací a skvělá jízda. Po pravdě jsem LE vyzkoušel také až loni na podzim a jejich servis je skvělý. Sice Economy má dost málo místa na nohy (podobně jako Arriva) ale to je zas vykompenzováno čtyřmi třídami... Jsem zvědavý na jejich Siriuse, snad vyjede co nejdřív.
Co se týká námětů na další videa, za sebe mohu doporučit navštívit Ústecký kraj - AŽD na Švestkové dráze, modernizované Desira Die Länderbahn, Mrkev na Plzeň a v červnu pak nové spěšné Pantery do Karlových Varů a možná také začátek nasazování nových vozů na západní expresy. 😍
Moc díky! No já s tímto videem úplně OK nejsem, špatně se točí když je šero. Ale jsem rád, že se mi po několika pokusech podařilo booknout spoj, kde bylo prázné Premium. Já jel s Leo poprvé loni, ale v Economy Plus, což mi přijde z nižších tříd jako nejlepší volba - 2+1 seating, celkem místo na nohy a menší obsazenost než Business, přitom cena jen nepatrně vyšší proti Economy. Na Siriuse jsem taky zvědav, snad se dočkáme schválení :-)
Jinak díky za tipy, Mrkev mám v plánu rychlík Plzeň - Most, a AŽD asi spojím s tím. DLB mám taky v merku, škoda že se teď nedá z Liberce do Drážďan.. A na nové vozy pro Západní expresy už se těším (snad půjdou i na Krušnohory, těmi jezdím celkem často).
no jo super video ale mě napadl jeden typ je to krátké ale super jízda je to z Liberce do Rybniště jezdí tam stadler sr 1 a i takoví jiný jak to popsat no jsou menší a jsou z Německa

Amazing trip report. Wow 4 classes of travel on one train I don't think that's quite common. Anyway the premium class was so good you got a recline chair a meal and also the WiFi service also the dimmed lighting in the dark creates a more relaxing atmosphere compared to full blown lights. If I come czech Republic in the future I definitely have to try this out

Thanks so much! Yes, especially when this EMU is originally designed as regional / suburban train.. This unit was specially adapted for long routes - fewer doors, more travel classes .. it's quite interestingly designed.

Nice guest rooms. I am surprised, it is above my expectation from a regional train unit.
I used the name of the food from their menu :-D This unit has already been modified by the manufacturer for longer routes, but of course, it still has elements of original regional units, such as low-floor.

As an Irish expat in Slovakia, LeoExpress is the most comfortable way to get from Poprad in Slovakia to Prague (ca. 7.5 hours). The value is also good, though Premium prices can get above €90 one way from Prague on a Sunday. Still good value compared with £450 off-peak 1st Class London to Newcastle return. (For info. the Poprad - Prague one-way was €55 on the trip I made - mid-week February.)

Reminds me of ÖBB Business Class. The service is simular and the seats are looking like the ones in the video, only a little bit newer.
Thanks, Pete! This is a seat !!! Wow !!! Enjoy it !!! At 19.50 € you made a deal !!! I advise everyone who takes this kind of seat, above all to think of nothing, to rest and look at the landscape. That's why you are also alone in this configuration: other people pay less. But what is the price difference, on average of course, between a "normal" class and the Premium? I am still blown away.
Thaks so much for watching! Prices are dynamic (it is similar to airlines), depending on time and availability. When you buy tickets long in advance (eg for the next month), the prices are low. On the same route I took, Economy starts at 6.60 EUR, Economy plus starts at 9 EUR, Business around 12 EUR and Premium around 20 EUR. But two days before departure, Economy and Economy plus was at the same price 10 EUR, Business for 22 EUR and Premium for 40 EUR. Another factor is a state discount of 75% can be drawn for students seniors - this discount cannot be applied to higher travel classes, it means Economy could be more crowded due to discounts.
Yes, so it's definitely worth booking in advance and taking the Premium seat. But you really have to know when to go.
I waited, when you do that review :-) As i live in czechia I too tried this class in Leo Express. These seats are very good for relaxing. Only little inconvenience is that headrests are not movable. I too traveled in economy class for only 9 CZK (0,4 EUR), but that fare was not so low as you could think. In cabin was entire trip present unbearable, deep, vibrating sound, which hurted my ears so much, that I entire week suffered from painful earache and even noticed new tinnitus sound, which I didn't had until this trip. After that experience, LEO Express is for me banned carrier. It's worth to pay two times more to travel with safe and reliable carrier, than trying luck again with Leo Express, end possibly end again with this unpleasant pain in ears just because they don't care about state of their trains. Evidently there was some technical problem, and they still leaved it going from Ostrava and back. Too should be mentioned, that in Leo Express happened few times, that all there toilets were broken.
Thanks for watching! It was my second journey with Leo Express. I also tried Economy Plus at the beginning of the summer, the ride was also quite fine, except of the family with a small child, which made noise all the journey (I don't understand why they didn't travel in the section for families with children). Otherwise, both my trips were fine and both toilets were functional. Only from the first trip there will be no video, because the sound is unusable because of that child :-D
@Tomáš Novák: Besides the technical defect of the motors: They are located at the front and end of the train.
So the more quiet cars in terms of train sounds are the middle cars.
For a train enthusiast the location behind the driver is fine. 😉
In the regional train variant the area directly there has 16 seats compared to the Premium Class shown in the video.

those flirt trains operate in my local region and town and are considered the second most luxurious next to this train here

Interesting to know how trainservices in Czechia run. The Leo express looks quite clean, has in the first class service at the seat. I hope the staff was kind as well. I think our german service Deutsche Bahn should think about some facts to take over from the train Business in the east part. Greetings from Germany
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, Leo express has great premium service and the staff was also great. Most state owned carriers don't know much about doing premium services. But, for example, Business class in ÖBB railjets is a good product, and also ČD offers good services in dining cars. Greetings from Prague :-)
The ÖBB Service is well known to me. The main problem are the high fares you have to pay in Germany to get a service IC or ICE.

Veľmi dobré video, tá Bussiness trieda je super, páčia sa mi tie nápoje a jedlo v cene a taktiež sedadlá a veľa priestoru na nohy ale nepáči sa mi tá pohyblivá cenovka za jazdu, to som teraz videl prvýkrát 😂 Ale aj tak si myslím, že je Regiojet lepší ako LeoExpress (LeoExpresom som nešiel ale RegioJet má lepšie ceny a viac spojov) ale tú Business triedu mu vytknúť nemôžem, vyzerá to tam fakt pekne!😮
Díky moc! Ano, premium class Leo Expressu je asi to nejlepší na trhu, co se týče pohodlí a servisu. Jinak souhlas, ty dynamické ceny se mi také nelíbí, mě trvalo několik měsíců, než jsem našel spoj, kde byla cena v pohodě (vlaky co jedou od Starého města u Uherského hradiště nejsou tak obsazené, jako u spojů z Ostravy).

Super video, škoda toho polepu. Všetkých 5 jednotiek by mohlo mať jednotný. Aktuálne ho má asi iba 004, že?
Díky moc! Bohužel, ale nevím proč už nemá většina původní polep. Tato 001 má ještě alepoň polepené čelní sloupky, ale v létě jsem jel v 002, a ta je komplet černá úplně bez polepu.
@@PeteBrandy jo, pôvodne malo mať všetkých 5 jednotiek nový polep (čierny+oranžové nápisy a obrysy okolo dverí) tento nový polep bol však zrealizovaný iba na jendotke 004. Aktuálne teraz má myslím 001 reklamný polep (ľudia ho dosť často prezývajú cirkus). A ostatné jednotky chodia buď úplne čierne (niektoré aj bez loga), alebo to vyzerá ako niečo medzi novým polelom a starým. Uvidíme no. Mne sa najviac páčil ten pôvodný so zlatou. Ale ak kompletne všetkých 5 (flirtov) dostane ten nový s oranžovým nápismi, tak si myslím, že to bude tiež dosť fajn. 😀

Thank you! :-) I think that the route Prague - Krakow isn't in operation now. Now they reduced a lot of connections, on the day of my trip only one of the three planned trains ran .. But I hope in the summer they will be back, I also plan to try them on route to Krakow :-)

Yes, I wrote that the train has a top speed of 160 Kph.. That maximum speed is because this train unit is originally designed as a suburban train. But currently, 160 Kph is the maximum speed allowed on Czech railway network.
@@PeteBrandy No, Pete, this electric motor unit is basicaly designed for the top speed of 200 km/h althougt it is originally suburban/regional train. The speed limit 160 km/h is really on the Czech side and depends on capability of our tracks (I agree with you in this point). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadler_FLIRT

Ahoj, nechceš vydat i tu Premium Economy jako bonus, třeba bez zvuku? :D Docela by mě to zajímalo, je to jediná třída, kterou jsem u LE ještě nejel.
Ahoj, není špatný nápad, udělat nějaké bonusové video.. kouknu co z toho economy plus dám dohromady, trip report jsem z té cesty nedělal, protože jsem chytl rodinku s malým uřvaným děckem a do toho vlak měl dost špinavá okna, takže dost záběrů nepoužitelných :-D

Koukám, tam nejsou police na zavazadla! Kam se to dává?
Vepředu je něco jako skříň, nahoře jsou ramínka na kabáty a bundy a dole police, což bohatě stačí, když má Premium 6 sedadel :-D
Jestli se nepletu tak za vstupem hned vpravo (za sedadlem B6) je taky police na zavazadla.
Moc hezké video! Premium je hezká třída. Jinak mě by nevyhovovalo že je vlak nízkopodlažní jakožto dálkový Expres. U osobáku v pohodě, ale u Expresu nevím no. Jinak jestli to půjde, zkusím do konce ledna udělat taky trip report z EC 282 Metropolitan Slovenská Strela, tam snad se povede. Udělal bych Bmz245. Jinak 2 minuty za ním mělo jet EC taky do Prahy, že? 15:20, jel jsem s ním v prosinci z Olomouce. Velký like a snad taky něco také urobím, ale aby to nevypadalo jakože tě kopíruju. Jako nevím moc jak jinak bych to udělal, než nastupuju, jedu tam a tam, sedadlo tohle, WiFi taky,...
Moc díky! Také nemám rád nízkopodlažní dlkové vlaky, naštěstí Premium třída má zvýšenou podlahu kvůli podvozku, tak se to dá (ale i tak je to cca o schod níž než v klasické soupravě). Určitě něco natoč. Myslím, že v tomto se nedá mluvit o kopírování, nevlogový trip report moc nejde udělat jinak, defakto všechny mají podobný koncept. Spíš se to pak může lišit podle preferencí toho, kdo to natáčí, někdo se víc soustředí třeba na wi-fi a vybavení, někdo víc na jízdu..
@@PeteBrandy jako jiný než ty bych mohl natáčet dveře, strop a max tak typ osvětlení, ale z toho by nic nebylo. Jako taky záleží jak to bude plný, když jsi sám v kupé, děláš si co chceš, ale když tam někdo je tak to moc nejde a je to takový divný a nevhodný se tam ohánět kamerou po pravdě. A taky bych natočil vlaky Praha hl.n. + potřebuju záběry lokomotivy 380. To nevím kde seberu, ale snad. Chci o nic dělat video.
@@jirivalenta6382 No hodně to je o tom, najít správný vlak, který není moc obsazený (většinou to poznám podle rezervací), a pokud to jde, tak z výchozí stanice a co nejdříve před odjezdem.. :D Tak 380 určitě chytneš, na Jižních expresech nebo Metropolitanech..
@@PeteBrandy no, já mám Ex3 videí hodně, ale vždy to je jako když procházím videa Metropolitanů "Vectron, gorila, gorila, modrá gorila, Vectron, náhradní Eso, aaa Messerschmitt! Beru" takže už jsem vypotřeboval snad vše co mám, včetně blbych záběrů. Takže snad v Praze něco najdu, ale jižní expresy teď jezdí jen ráno a večer jsem koukal
Z Prahy jezdí Jižní expres v 9h58 a 13h58 a příjezdy do Prahy 11h02 a 16h02, do toho ještě některá pořadí R Svitava (ale ty už asi budou za tmy)
