Best 7x64 ammo for Sauer 303

Testing different ammo brands to find perfect hunting ammo for Sauer 303 in 7x64 caliber. This time I took 5 different 7x64 cartridges:
0:24 RWS EVO 159gr
1:26 Sako Powerhead 2 150gr
2:35 Geco Express 155gr
3:48 Geco Plus 170gr
4:59 Norma Vulkan 170gr
5:56 Results
Well, it took some time to shoot al of them cause Sauer 303 has light hunting barrel and quickly get hot. To avoid hot barrel effect, was waiting around 5-7 minutes after each 5 shot group. Luckily it was minus degree :)

I have an old RWS Model 98 in 7x64. I had good luck with hand loaded ELD-X 150gr. (6 Shots within 2cm).
But it took a lot of testing until I was there. The 7x64 seems to be a bit picky.
After testing different bullet weights and different powders, I lastly changed to magnum primers instead of using large rifle primers.
Precision wise, this made a real difference, interestingly.

Thanks for sharing this! Seems Hornady is way to go in all calibers :D Probably will test first their factory ammo (too lazy to reload).

I think the 303 ist not the Problem 😅
You are placing the weapon far too far forward on the stock. This is not good for consistent precision.

@@Doktorvollcrass yes, I have problems with this rifle. When was shooting it first time, got stuck bullet in the barrel and full eyes with gasses. So now a bit scared of it 😁
