His friend takes hand granade, pulls the pin and turns and ask Sorin "what did u do" . Sorin's answer was as usual i replaced the detonator with a Properly Calibrated Detaonator. Actually these were the last words his friend heard. Then Sorin scratches his head and says What did i do wrong, i just replaced the faulty part with a properly calibrated one. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorin it was a nice video just wanted to make you smile with a funny imaginary story. im from Turkiye too. Greetings from Antalya . if i bought an NLBA to this price, i would get crazy when it get burned and then this seller whose nickname is NipEmbedded would come and said " this is very nice device but you broken it. No more battery analyzer to you sir"

I was going to say there was no need to add the "calibrated jumper" wires in because the board shows the connections go straight through, therefore the UL26 must be an ESD device.
I'm trying to learn and visited this website, found UL prefix and looked through all the datasheets. None show a UL26 or any component with 6 legs. How did you determine what this chip was using this website?
It happens so quickly to not think about possible ground loops and the risks that may come with them. For that reason I always use USB Isolators for my USB Meters & Programmer.
the same happens with the oscilloscope, you can break it if you don't get another power supply that is separate from the mains .. there are special transformers
Ground leak from the soldering iron thru USB to PC..I burned a NanoVna like that..soldering while was connected to PC...I found later like AC 80V from TS100 power supply to PC ground..
Hi Sorin This chip is a usb to rs232 converter to be connected to a microcontroller. The battery sensor line is connected to directly to the microcontroller and not to 232 chip. In first diagnosis when there is no usb response to the computer means that 232 chip is not communicated. Like arduino boards. Best regards.

your calibrated solder was absolutely pointless... look at the tracks on the PCB 🤣 those pads ARE connected already.. the UL26 is just an ESD protection, no signal is going through.
Hi, If you look carefully there is no broken path under the chip UL26 ( esd protection ) , so your soldering wire is useless. Next time no need to rush 😉

After watching your video, I would say your soldering killed the surge protection (the chip in the USB data lines). The Chip was probably fine until you put 5V on the 3.3V pin. That killed the chip. Anyway, Its working again and we were remembered to be carefully with different ground potentials. Did you check, why these were so different? Shouldn't both be connected to earth potential?
I didnt see the video, but if you had battery connected to the device when you were soldering it - you had common ground connection between battery and usb chip. Afterwards, when you touched the fuse with soldering iron, you shorted VBAt through mains earth, through USB chip (USB GND) to main ground, which killed the chip (did that a few times.. :S ) For the chip itself, would strongly suggest not getting it from china, had quite a few arrive somewhat dead - Chip itself works, but the moment you install driver driver itself states "Chip phased out in 2010, contact your supplier" and does not work, simply because its counterfeight

Original PL2303 chip from China is hard to find. Bought from five different sellers and only one turned out to be genuine. If anyone wants, I can give a link to the AliExpress seller from whom I bought the original.
NLBA1 is the most advanced laptop battery analyzer on the market, it is a real PRO tool, you pay once and you have it unlimited, lifetime. You can do tons of things with the analyzer. Separately, if you want to repair batteries, you need a license per year which has a good price, the price of 3-4 batteries while you can repair hundreds or thousands.
