I doubt if many remember the reference. I always loved Carol Burnett, never missed an episode, I’m 69. It was a wonderful and decent comedy which so many shows lack today.
As a Brit, my family and I scream with laughter at Harvey Korman’s performances as prissy, girly and so conceited British elites/actors! We crack up because up cuz its so true!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hilarious! I'm from UK originally but now in the States. and I am not familiar With all of US tv so I have been catching up on us comedy tv shows. I find Carol Burnett hilarious. I love all the skits. I love "Went With the wind" and "Mildred Fierce" I am familiar With those original movies so I understood all the jokes. And was cracking up. Brilliant stuff.
Turns out that in her earliest shows, which are now being broadcast on MeTV, Carol and company did different spoofs on "Gone With the Wind" and "Mildred Pierce," but they weren't nearly as hilarious.
I know, right? I LOVED IT! I about died it was so good and funny. I love how these guys did this lil' diddy about Hitchcock's work as well as "Rebeckey" which is their lil parody of "Rebecca" xD🤣
When I think about this series I am blown away that Harvey and Carol and Vicki (et al) had to not only memorize and stage the comedy sketches, but also the song lyrics and choreography for the big production numbers at the end of each show. So much to learn and make perfect.
I like how you can tell they ad-libed some spots like the table and the Cagney voice. They all found it so hard to keep a straight face at times. Classic gold.
Rich Little was one of the best impersonators of all time! Having seen episodes of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour, the Master of Suspense really had a great sense of humor.
I miss this show a lot watched it when it was on in the 70's it would make my night.Korman and Conway, when conway would make him crack up, i almost pee'd myself!!!

13:05--Did anyone catch Charles's line "Hildegard was Edna, you're Helena!" As all criminals do, Charles tripped himself up and did not even realize it!
@Flenif2247 I wish we could see "Rebecky," indeed. Maybe it's banned due to a production or contract issue? The Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB) website for the Carol Burnett Show, this 1972 episode #6.3, also lists Andy Griffith and Helen Reddy in the cast.
@@inkyguy Not exactly. This was a parody of Hitchcock material, not specifically Rebecca. It has similar qualities, no doubt; but this has the previous wife referred to as Edna, not "Rebecky". And Vicki is not the evil housekeeper here. Carol and pals did two proper spoofs of Rebecca. The later one was the better, and Vicki was the demented housekeeper Mrs. Danvers trying to intimidate and torment the new wife.
I'm 65, and have always loved Carol Burnett. I have to wonder: how many people under 40 recognize the reference to "The Windmills of Your Mind"?
In Young Fool with Jim Neighbors they used the phrase: "Because there is no air in the windmills of your mind."
I doubt if many remember the reference. I always loved Carol Burnett, never missed an episode, I’m 69. It was a wonderful and decent comedy which so many shows lack today.
Rich Little was also one of a kind. He was the best impressionist I have ever seen. No mistaking whoever he wanted to be.
Vicki Lawrence has the BEST scream!
She would’ve been a GREAT companion for The Doctor in the Classic Series, where screaming was a requirement for his female assistants… 😂🤣💙💙🔷
Clever writing, good casting, impressive sets! Love Hitchcock and these parodies are priceless.
Fay Wray was called the queen of scream but I’ll vote for Vickie Lawrence 😂
Harvey Korman was such a comic genius.. impeccable timing and nuanced delivery of his lines.. so under appreciated.
Miss Vicky can scream like nobody's business.
It is a scream ! Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman and Tim Conway were the greatest ! :-D lol
God! I'll say!
She was young. She was not old enough to be called Miss Vicki.
@@Michelle-pn9xt Little girls are frequently called "Miss" in front of their names.
Spot on impersonation of Hitchcock that Rich Little did
That was not good.
@Michelle Quite right; "good" would be an understatement. It was brilliant.
"Spot on"? Is everyone British these days?
Peter Piper: British shows/films are ripe for parody in any decade when Americans are doing the mimicry.
You said it! That was flawless!
They’re all exceptionally good. This was the best show ever, I never missed an episode.
Carol is a queen!! I love this sketch too much. I always lose it when Carol talks to herself in the mirror!! Comedic genius!!!!

Rich Little was a great voice impersonator! He had them down pat! Add the fact that he could also act the part pretty well.
He still is!
He impersonates Cary Grant superbly 😊
@@lopa2828 A shame they didn't have time for his Cagney.
I absolutely adore Carol's over the top British accent, I accidentally slip into it all the time and it makes every sentence hilarious!
Wow, he did a very good impression of Cary Grant's voice
The is Rich little. A national treasure.👍🏿
Rich LIttle so great. "You tinkled sir?" lol props falling apart lol. like the circles you find in the windmills of your mind???
Harvey Korman - comedy genius.

"THE GOOD WOMAN IS BURIED IN THE GROUND!... So will the guy that set this table up."
This is amazing how Carol and Harvey, in particular, act this like theater. They blow lines, get laughs and move on. That's how it's done!
The Carol Burnett Show is one of TV's greatest classics! Merci du Canada!
Jamie Elliot de Montréal en particulier!👏👋🏻❤️
Carol Burnett show began 1967, and it went off the air in 1977 or '78. I watched every episode new as they were shown, they were hilarious.

Have you caught Carol as Queen Elizabeth yet? What do you think?

Artishealing65 Glad you liked it, Carol is an awesome lady 😊 and the rest of the crew as well ❤️
LOL Butler: You tinkled sir!
Do you know which Hitchcock movie that one was about
@@JulianAnderson120 The movie is "Rebecca", starring Joan Fontaine, and Lawrence Olivier. It's from the book by Daphne Du Maurier.
Forget circles. There were splinters in the windmills of her mind. LOL
Can't help but being delighted by almost anything they did on that show!
That over talking each other is very hard to do !
"Like the circles that you find in the windows of your mind?" Lololol 😂
If i was blindfolded, you couldn't tell me that wasn't the actual voice of Alfred Hitchcock.
Fancy Vizion or Cary Grant.

Vicki you mean? Oh yeah!
Still hilarious so nice to see familiar faces, like a visit with old friends
Carol Burnett was always one of my favorites. I loved when they lost it and started laughing while trying to maintain.
Rich Little does a spot on Cary Grant!
I think his James Mason is better.
