Just this. It makes me happy knowing there's a bunch of 40 year old dudes in living rooms across the country that feel 15 again even if just for 5 minutes. My wife calls us dirty white boys. Which is a nice way of saying fucked up white kids from broken homes. Eminem spoke for all of us period White Privilege my ass
Bro..I'm 48 and was your age when em dropped...your doing an amazing job of reacting to these classics..keep up the good work man I'm really looking forward to your next em reaction...Def takes me back ..Thank you lil homie
I'm 70 years old. Eminem coming from my kids' rooms changed my opinion on rap music. Your reactions are awesome. And, dude, you ABSOLUTELY should check out Tupac.
It's crazy to think where Em came from seeing him now.... he said he never went gold in this song... fast-forward to today, triple platinum and diamond 💎 status albums and songs 💯... FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️
When Eminem dies(hopefully not anytime soon), I think his brain should be studied, just like Albert Einstein. Something extraordinary is most definitely going on in there.
For real. I heard these words, I lived them and then I felt them. I got up and got out but you never forget who you are, you don't forget what sleeping hungry feels like, counting pennies and everyone you knew were poisonous
I first heard Eminem when I was in college and instantly became a fan of him. I'm 34 now and my son turned 2 last month. Em's song hit different with your age. Like this song here. All of his old songs does that I guess. Em is a genius, man. Pls Keep making them reaction vidoes of him
I was around 13 when this song came out and I liked it well enough... But 15 years later, it hit completely differently. Definitely got me through some rough days when I was working 70 hours a week to support my family with a 2 year old at home, living paycheck to paycheck, and I was too tired to be the dad I wanted to be. Never had it as bad as some, but the song really spoke to me then.
Every time i listen to an Eminem track, i get a sudden urge to go attempt to write a song and i have a few times but without a life story, right voice, or environment for it, i quickly realize, this isn't gonna amount to shit. Dude was born with just the right amount talent, nurture, looks, voice, and environment to do the impossible at that time. Guess a gift and a curse by his accounts. Still inspires me to try ro be creative with it.
On the Christmas night, Em wasn't able to give Hailie anything as a present. So he tried to commit suicide. But fortunately failed. That is when he wrote this song.
I believe he said it was a half-hearted attempt. He didn’t really want to do it, like he wasn’t completely determined to, but he also did kinda want to. But still, imagine if he succeeded. The world would’ve been different, because Em has made a big impact with his music.
Eminem’s words paint pictures in your mind, a talent Tupac also had. Listen to “Only God Can Judge Me” and “Changes,” to understand what I mean. Dear Mama is Pacs equivalent to Eminem’s Mockingbird. Btw the song dear mama was saved and stored by the U.S. library of Congress for its social importance.
The beat in the beginning and in the chorus is sampled from a 1968 song by Janis Joplin called ''Summertime'.. His debut album is ''infinite'' not the SSLP you need to check it out and also check out the SSEP
It’s always cool seeing people discover Eminem after they aren’t used to lyrical storytelling music. Even funnier when mumble rap fans react to Eminem.
Would love to see you get your questions answered by Em himself. You always ask things like “how did he do that” “what was he thinking”… maybe you could talk to him some time?!
Listen to if I die 2 nite, me against the world, hold ya head, white manz world, can’t C me, ballad of a dead soulja By pac those are just a couple of the classics that man has YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED
This was my wake up song back in the day. Back when they had those alarm clock/CD players that would play the song you wanted when the alarm went off. This song eased me awake, Just Don't Give A Fuck would get me out of bed, and As The World Turns would wake me up laughing.
This is his first major label album. He was in the underground hip hop scene before he was found. A lot of rappers started in the underground. If you are really interested in hip hop go to some underground shows. The energy & the drive those artists have is so good. It's also a great scene to be a part of. Every area has this scene. Do some research to find some shows & check a few out. You would love it. You also might find the next big artist.
@@mahatmagandhi2434 Yes, but black folks don't get the benefit of the doubt, especially back then. He still had to go to court over it and charges against both parties were dropped. But the cops sued in civil court that resulted in a settlement and a default judgement.
@@YukonBloamie not at all , you will go to court and battle even if you're white and shot a cop for self defence, either way that's not my point , tupac always acted like a gangster and shooting the cops is one of the stuffs he bragged about but tupac was nothing more than a studio gangster, he was literally a ballerina and a theater kid growing up .
There's no way I'm the only person my age (born in 85) that has found all these and is goin nuts 😂😂😂🙌🙌🙌 I'm tellin you...the release of this and so many other albums around the same time seriously changed my musical life forever
i‘d definetly love seeing you react to some tupac, man was ahead of his time. he‘s just accepted as being a rap legend but people gotta go and look deeper into why and how, cuz that mans crazy.
4:38 yup bro. 31 and in a same boat as i was the year after graduating. Can't make shit out of myself, every fu***** year passes by like a damn light flickering, and I'm questioning my reason to not put a piece beneath my chin and squeeze it.
He released the Infinite album before this, 1996 I think. And before that he had some stuff with Chaos Kid, and The Basement Tapes. It's been a while since I listened to it
Pac gas some incredible songs. Dear mama, How long will the morn me, mind made up (great posse chr, especially the version with Ins on it), Tradin war stories, Picture me rollin (just listen to all if All eyez on me, its a classic). His rhymes aren't as intricate as Em, but you feel everything he says. Two of the greatest rappers ever.
Ik ur new to em and ur doing an awesome job reacting to the classics but this Is actually his second album he released, after sighing with interscope records his first debut album was actually infinite u should definitely check it out !! Keep up the good work
You have to react to 2pac if you think this song is deep I think you will be shocked at how good 2pac was and the music he was putting out way ahead of its time. Pac is the only rap artist I would put above Eminem in the best to ever do it. 2PAC - CHANGES and 2PAC - UNTIL THE END OF TIME are must hear songs he's talking about problems that are still relevant today in Changes. He was a Thug but he was smart a genius just like EM
This isn't his first album. If you like this you should check out his real first album 'infinite'. That album is more like this song throughout and you can really see the origin of his rap skill and style in it. Think you'd like it a lot.
Hell yeah I’m down to listen to some Tupac. Biggie was an OG too. Ems the GOAT, but he always pays homage to those who came before him to pave the way.
Are you doing the Eminem show next? I love the slim shady lp but the Eminem show is one of the best albums of all time. I know you like that lyrical shit you’ll love it
You have to listen to “Bitch please ll” by Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop I was just listening to it and thought you would love this song. Btw I just have to say I love your reactions (you could call me a Stan)
calls out the spelling for percocet but not for tek lol. I was in middle school when this came out. gave me a reason not to be a loser when i grew up. luckily i did something with my life.
wait did I hear that right..... around 6:40 did you say you've never listened to pac? seriously?!?!?! bruh you cant even call yourself a fan of rap and hip-hop if you haven't listened to pac
If you dive into 2 Pac, do yourself a favor and start with his first album. 2Pacalypse Now. It’s an absolute classic and it’s crazy to go through and see him evolve through the later releases.

Would love to see you get your questions answered by Em himself. You always ask things like “how did he do that” “what was he thinking”… maybe you could talk to him some time?!
Listen to if I die 2 nite, me against the world, hold ya head, white manz world, can’t C me, ballad of a dead soulja By pac those are just a couple of the classics that man has YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED
my fav Em song hands down.
This was my wake up song back in the day. Back when they had those alarm clock/CD players that would play the song you wanted when the alarm went off. This song eased me awake, Just Don't Give A Fuck would get me out of bed, and As The World Turns would wake me up laughing.
Listen to "beautiful" please
Meh
@@steezycheezeyfries5930wdym meh?
@@steezycheezeyfries5930ahh hell nah
@@elementofficial07 not saying it's a bad song but idk there's ten others I'd rather hear
Definitely
Orange- gorge, forge. Thats without even sitting down and really thinking of what else could rhyme.
3:09 you'll probably never see this but he had a great teacher Dr Dre and he did probably thousand of rap battles and tried every day to get better
The editing is really great, no bs! You should really listin to Nas debut album Illmatic, talk about a perfect album. You'll love it!
FINALLYY!!! SWEETYY THANK YOUUSSS
Definitely do some 2pac
good one to listen to when life is being difficult
Dude needs to listen to. Infinite EP, and Slim Shady EP, to hear his original songs before he was signed
I believe the 2pac shooting cops reference was from one of his song called violent
No, Tupac literally shot two off duty cops that were fucking with him and beat the charge. That was the point he went from black power poet to iconic.
He did only as a self defence anyone would do that @@YukonBloamie
@@mahatmagandhi2434 Yes, but black folks don't get the benefit of the doubt, especially back then. He still had to go to court over it and charges against both parties were dropped. But the cops sued in civil court that resulted in a settlement and a default judgement.
@@YukonBloamie not at all , you will go to court and battle even if you're white and shot a cop for self defence, either way that's not my point , tupac always acted like a gangster and shooting the cops is one of the stuffs he bragged about but tupac was nothing more than a studio gangster, he was literally a ballerina and a theater kid growing up .
you also should react to "Renegade" and "Quitter". But right before you hear Quitter, hear Tupacs "Hit em up". Love your Em-Experience 😄👍
Keep em coming
There's no way I'm the only person my age (born in 85) that has found all these and is goin nuts 😂😂😂🙌🙌🙌
I'm tellin you...the release of this and so many other albums around the same time seriously changed my musical life forever
i‘d definetly love seeing you react to some tupac, man was ahead of his time. he‘s just accepted as being a rap legend but people gotta go and look deeper into why and how, cuz that mans crazy.
This one's one of my favorites. Its a literal poem. Also if you love Eminem you should definitely listen to Tupac/Makavelli.
Keep up the good work
Em's debut album was infinite my boy, also would love to see a reaction to Tupac's "This life I lead"
If anyone is interested in the sample Dre used: "Summertime" by Big Brother and the Holding Company.
whole album is lyrical art
My favorite Em song!
You absolutely got to hear 2pac - Hit ‘em up, that the mother of all diss tracks and the song that allegedly got him shot…
Lowkey Em's best song ever
Definitely my favorite em song.
Rock Bottom is stupid hard!!!
Wicked ways, bro wicked ways, bro tear that song up
Stra8t Ballin Thug life
Hellrazor
Shorty gonna be a Thug
Hail Mary
Anything from all eyes on me
You should look up his Underground Album from before he hooked up with Dre. It is called "INFINITE"
“This SpongeBob ass beat”
😂😂😂
If you’ve never heard 2pac, you gotta listen to If I Die 2nite. The lyricism is actually insane in that song.
Even as a fucking kid this song was able to just put me in a different zone mentally. This song is DEFINITELY top 5 all time for me from Em.
Bro you need to react to I'll Hurt You by Busta and Em
This isn't his first album. If you like this you should check out his real first album 'infinite'. That album is more like this song throughout and you can really see the origin of his rap skill and style in it. Think you'd like it a lot.
Hell yeah I’m down to listen to some Tupac. Biggie was an OG too. Ems the GOAT, but he always pays homage to those who came before him to pave the way.
Man I was fifteen when this album came out had to buy it no stream it or RUclips Spotify it .... I had the best youth lol
Ok we need Til I collapse, When I'm gone and cleaning out my closet now.
What's interesting about this song is that he actually wrote and recorded the first version of it when he was dead broke.
Are you doing the Eminem show next? I love the slim shady lp but the Eminem show is one of the best albums of all time. I know you like that lyrical shit you’ll love it
The Eminem Show is already done and out fully over on patreon bro
Chris Webby did a similar song called “middle ground” with around the same beat. It’s also super good
Hope you have Ren's latest "kujo beat down" on your to do list
Toy Soldiers & Mockingbird will show you the real side too 💚
TUPAC MARATHON IM DOWN FOR IT !!
100% going to just a matter of time
@@VERTICILE let's fuckin go man !
Dude, you would love Tupac. I can't believe more people aren't recommending him.
You have to listen to “Bitch please ll” by Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop I was just listening to it and thought you would love this song. Btw I just have to say I love your reactions (you could call me a Stan)
Bro gotta listen em’s collabs w lil Wayne. No Love and Drop the word. 2 lyrical monsters coming togeather
I ALSO THOUGHT IT SOUNDS LIKE SPONGEBOB😭
calls out the spelling for percocet but not for tek lol.
Yeah man that ist really sad😢
2Pac spits that real with silky smooth flows that just hit different. Check him out for sure!
that's how you spell perkeset to avoid the censors.
For the love of God and Slim please do 2pac songs
If you dive into 2 Pac, do yourself a favor and start with his first album. 2Pacalypse Now. It’s an absolute classic and it’s crazy to go through and see him evolve through the later releases.
VERTII
Pleas do loose your self from EM. Keap up the good work love your videos !!!!
Listen to “fast lane” by bad meets evil, bad meets evil is just Eminem and Royce Da 5’9”
