Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I recently searched for, and found, Mary Mermaid again on my hard drive. I thought I might have lost her but she is now safe with my hundreds of other sims I've made over the years.
I'm glad it was helpful for you. I hope you enjoy your new dive lots when you make them. One thing I've noticed in player made worlds with undecorated dive lots already in them is they haven't been placed according to the method I describe in this video. As a result, when you decorate them they don't work. You need to delete the existing dive lot if you find that problem and then add a replacement lot according to the instructions in this video.
Thanks for the comment. I find I need to refer to this tutorial when I make a dive lot as I always forget something. I hope you have fun with your Sunlit Tides and it's new dive lots.
Excellent. Thanks for the comment. I've had a lot of feedback on this one in the forums and people seem to find it very useful. I know I need to follow the steps I've added here to get it to work. Just trying to do it without following the step by step process means I always miss something at the critical moment and have to start over again. Save As with a different file name helps prevent having to go back to the very beginning.
Hello, I tried to follow the tutorial but at some point, deleting the scuba buoy and the shark spawner, i think i didnt save or something and when i reopened the game, the buoy appeared floating in the air, is there a way to correct this process instead of starting all over again?
If you did just forget to save then you may be able to just delete the buoy and spawner and then save and reopen the game and see if it worked. I hope you find a solution and don't have to restart. I often do have to restart a few times if I haven't made a dive lot for a while as it is such a long process. I tend to write the steps down onto a sheet of paper and try to follow that and tick them off as I go along. Good luck with it.
Because it doesn't work properly if you don't do that. I hope you enjoy your new dive lot. The best way to find out why is to not do it. Problem is if you decide to test it to find out why, you might have to start all over again with your dive lot. The only thing I can say is you won't like the result if you don't save, shut down and relaunch the game at the point you are told you need to do that. It is a bit tedious but that's the process that works.
Thanks for the comment. That is at Step 38 just over half way through the video. At the 17 minute mark. Basically, you need to be in buy mode. Hold down the shift and ctrl keys and click on the buoy. A pie menu will appear and choose the dive skill level from it.
Thanks for the comment. If my game always crashed after placing a shark spawner, then I'd make sure I saved before placing the spawner. Have you tried saving then shutting down and then reloading before trying to place the spawner. Are you placing the right kind of shark spawner in the right place. There are two. One is for underwater sharks and the other is for surface sharks. Good luck. I hope you sort out the problem.
Did you get a sim to dive in the dive lot after doing it without all of the steps in the tutorial? If not then have a look at it and then you'll know why the extra steps are there.
Thank you for your comment. You need to close the game, preferably quit the game altogether, but sometimes just going to the Main Menu is sufficient. This is the way the process works. The best way to find out why it is necessary is to see what happens if you don't close out of the game and get back in. I tried it and the result is a mess.
Hi Zitah, there are two possible reasons your sim can't go down to the dive lot. Thanks for your comment. Firstly, you need to set the scuba diving skill level on the buoy when you make the dive lot. That is at Step 38 just over half way through the video. At the 17 minute mark. Secondly, the sim must have a diving skill level that is the same as or greater than the level required to dive at that lot. The default level is 0 and I believe a sim won't be able to go down under water on that lot until the level has been set to a number between 1 and 10. I hope you are able to sort it out.
Thanks for this. Still playing this game after all this time and still learning stuff about it.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm glad you found the video useful and hope you enjoy your new dive lot.
Thank you for the video! Love Mary Mermaid btw 😍

Very nice tutorial. Great detail and I love the step by step text that scrolls up. I can't wait to give it a try in my Sunlit Tides world.

Why do you need to reenter the game after making it a dive lot?
Because it doesn't work properly if you don't do that. I hope you enjoy your new dive lot.

@@karritz1542 thank you for your quick response! Oh I see! Kinda weird though how the game works like that 😄
How did you make it a dive level 2
Thanks for the comment.

Why saving goimg to the menu then back again then saving the bulldozing then put back again i can make it straight away

And they were roommates
Why do we have to keep closing out of the game?

I didn’t exit out and it was fine
Hi! i know you made this video a while ago, but my sim cant go underwater, she stays on top, could you help me?
