If the Sims 3 engine is capable of having different levels, then why didn't EA put it in the first place so players won't have to rely on cheats and glitches?
you did so well on explaining thee how to in such an easy manor.... and way more info then others have done.... thanks very so much. (( glad this video is still up for us new sim 3 user's.
When I started out with Sim3 I liked the foundation concept - and cars and the big garage doors. I wanted to built a house with a foundation, cellar and sunken garrage. And it turned into a nightmare. First getting proper stairs from cellar to basement -- then I built the house only to find out that the sims could not take the stairs. So I gave up basically on all options. Wish I had seen these tutorials, but even then it seems to be a pain.
Oh my God I've been playing this game for 9 years and I've been suffering from this problem and I wish it had a solution and simply you did it in a minute that's great Thank you ❤️👍
Yay! First thing you covered is exactly what I needed. Foundation houses with non-foundation garage. Thank you honeeeey!!! I've watched your whole CAW series and it kinda gave me a boost to finally actually build my dream TS3 world so thanks for all your great content and congrats on finishing Plymouth Isle :D
Omgg thank youu so much! I always wondered if u could do that with the stairs in ts3 cuz I always saw it on ts4 and was actually so jealous cuz I only play ts3 but u helped me so thx I'm talking about what he did at 8:40
So when you was putting the ladders on the roof and it was dipping down, mine didn’t do that so this is why I live in shoeboxes! I can’t play with this game enough to figure out all these hidden possibilities!
If I have understood this question correctly, I believe yes if you put foundation down first then build walls on top; it does make the house higher-lifts it. No It does not need to be built there initially from the beginning
@@mea8323 hi Mea! Thank you for all the kind words! I bought one if the starter houses with no foundations, and I can't seem to be able to lift it. Do I have to "empty" the rooms from all the objects first? Do you maybe know of a video tutorial to lift the house? I can't find any, all of them are from the start of the building process
I really appreciate the help, but I tried doing split levels. It worked on the first level, but i tried doing a split level on the second floor and it ended up like an Escher painting. I have no idea what I'm doing wrrong.
the split level thing doesn’t work. it only makes my foundation raise higher… it doesn’t lower the weird spikes that appear when i connect the garage to the house
Bruh how many times you gonna change your channel name? Lol I was confused, I was like "I didn't subscribe to this person" then I watched the video and realized it was you. Really helpful video though nice job
Im trying to build like Split Level L Shape Stairs, However in a T shape. How do I get the auto walls to appear so it has a smoothly covered exterior. Works on the back wall. But not at the auto wall following the slant of stairs
How can I do this when I have already built home and want to add garage. In All tutorials they start building the house first then garage. I can't level the floor on the foundation.
You need to slow down a bit. I had to watch your clips multiple times in order to see what you were doing. Very informative stuff. You’re very skillful.
@@gailh9749 it's simple. Just click on the video and on the top right corner, there are 3 dots for settings. Go down until you see playback speed, click on that. Normal is the speed the video is playing now, click on the lower numbers to slow down the video or higher numbers to speed up the video. Go back to normal to reset the video
This was the worst. Spent all my spare minutes while you Effed around doing everything else before the stairs. Now I have to go to work. Also, you used a profusion of words without ever saying anything.
help me!! when i go into tab mode on any floor, when i look up towards the stairs, half the floor to it is gone and you can just see the sky:( how do i sort this out i want to make a short movie!!
I've been playing the sims 3 since release and I didnt even know you could hold alt for a smaller foundation 😂

IKR..!!!!
Because ea doesn’t have a brain
Too hard
Sims team lazy
There's also the cheat 'place friezes on' (without quotations) that lets you put foundations above the ground floor
Goddamit i should have read this cmt 1hour earlier.
That’s good to know.
My gosh.. I needed this since like 2010 😂 thanks a million!

I needed a bazillion LESS info. I just want the stairs and nothing else.
been playing Sims 3 for 7 years now... this blew my mind... 👏👏👏

Could you tell how to make a u shaped stairs inside the house with rooms around it .
Can you lift up a house with foundation, or does the house have to initially be built on a foundation right from the beginning?

OR just type PlaceFriezes on 😅
