It’s giving Landgraab for some reason. Maybe it’s the windows, or the absolutely vile color scheme, but this seems like Nancy’s dream vacation home💀
Most of these items and a lot of the walls are prominent in the Landgraab's house. 😂

My sim married Nancy and she divorced her husband. Somehow without any cheating she has married my sim they have had 2 children together and she’s pregnant with the 3rd 🥉. She still has all her snobby traits and my sim has his original traits he’s a kleptomaniac and evil lol. But they are now family oriented. Of course except for her original family. Her ex husband keeps texting her asking if he should go on dates and I’m like yes piss off out of our lives. The one thing I did change was her job. The hours just didn’t work she can’t work 8-2 and I work 10-7 m. The sims never saw each other.

Honestly though she isn't good at building modern homes because she doesn't want to be. If you hate all the items used to build something you can't be expected to make a good version of something you hate. I always find it disrespectful to us who love the things she hates by how disgustingly she mocks the build style she is bad at. Like making a modern home 80% lime green or building a blue suburban in Batuu because she can't even fathom how to build a survivalist camp.
why are you so angry? i like European houses and when she tries to build them she doesn't do the best job as far as accuracy goes. but i don't complain, she stated that she isn't good at it....

as someone who builds a loooooot of midcentury builds it's really funny seeing how many of the base game items i use she NEVER uses! multiple times she pulled out an item and as i was saying "ooh i love that one!" she goes "i HATE this item." it makes me laugh

I agree, but also, when the creative juices flow, plans change and adapt even when you don't intend for them to. Some of the best builds happen this way, for myself included.
I agree this is garbage clickbait. The 3 it's in the title card are not in the build at all. The whole video is a lie.

She never ONCE used the items in the title card. Didn't even take them out of the catalog to comment on them. You do understand the title card is created after the entire video is shot & edited right? It was a conscious choice to create a clickbait title card & title that are not what the actual video is about. And she is known for doing that & has admitted on her Twitch that she does it on purpose for clicks.
If media companies do this they get slammed & even sued when it is egregious. If you saw a movie poster with a horse on a beach at sunset titled "Days End" you would be pretty peeved to watch that entire movie only to find out it is about a space adventure where there are no horses, beaches or even sunsets because there's no horizon on shipboard. That is what Kayla does. She creates lies to steal your time. That isn't a case of "Oh well the idea morphed, it happens" It's called lying & it is literally how she earns money.
I feel like it would be cool for Kayla to make a build with her favorite items but the worst swatches 😂

I love how your "items I hate" is just all the things I always use. My favorite colors irl are lime green, orange, and grey, and I always end up using the microscope when I play. BTW your channel got me into the sims, so thank you so much. I love how wholesome you are, Kayla!

honestly love this house, minus the scary kids room but maybe that could be turned into a home laboratory? with all the science decor it would make a lot of sense. you did great tho simsie!! always love your builds :)
The floor plan is good, the color scheme is bad.
For some reason the color scheme is really giving base game house- like lightly renovated ea build…or one of those builds they default put into your library
Honestly it’s a vibe and you can pull it off (especially the outside!!!)
The lab my sister works at is COMPLETELY decorated in this lime green. We had a conversation about it the other day and we kind of arrived at the conclusion that it's giving modern, but from a decade ago. Something about it I just completely love, but in a 'I wouldn't want to live there in a million years' kind of way 💀

As usual, Kayla's least used items are all of my most used items, probably the only base game items I use 🤣 I don't ever use the colored shutters windows, for example.
Yes, where I live, shutters are pretty uncommon! I'm never drawn to them in the Sims. Most houses have simple framed windows like these base game ones, or Snowy Escape windows. My neighborhood is either mid-century homes or Spanish Revival homes.

Tbh I'm actually really digging the kitchen and living room. This whole build is the essence of completely unexpected but surprisingly good. It's SO 2014 sims 4 base game and I'm kinda loving it?
Saw a comment about how this build looks so much like something the Landgraab’s would love, and now I’ve got this whole headcannon in my head of this being the home Nancy and Geoffrey lived in when they were starting out as a family (before they became mega wealthy). The kids bedroom would have of course been Johnny Zest’s room. And after disowning Johnny and becoming rich they would have wanted to restart their lives with Malcolm in the giant house they currently live in.
Kayla putting the living room in the kitchen area sooo bothered me lol. It just makes so much more sense to put the dining table there and the living room on the other side.

Kayla should make a challenge where we put random items on a lot that she has to use in her build!! So the reverse of a shell challenge, it’s an interior items challenge.
I would have switched the living room and dining room and have the dining room next to the kitchen.

It totally looks like a house my middle school self would put in Oasis Springs and be like "That's some modern fancy place to live". Even tho the rug on the floor carpet in kids' room is a straight-ass crime. Great build as always just not yours or my vibe

Omg that fence is giving industrial, but make it natural. Likely factory turned into home, new cool fence, wood accents, and lots of plants. Sort of a green industrial thing? I love it

Something I learned from house hunting is that a bathroom with a shower or a tub is called a 3/4 bathroom. A full bathroom has both a shower and a tub. So weird.
The outside is giving modern and reappy nice and luxury, the inside is giving the movie vivarium lol probly just the green and science theme; love the ladybug rug

I genuinely really like this house! I never build/play with modern designs, so every time I see one I love how fresh and cool it all looks! Plus the kid's room is kind of funky cool like they're a kid genius superstar main character in a Disney Channel/Nickelodeon show lol

Ooo challenge idea, Build using ( x amount) random items of hidden objects! You can devide by rows like: Item 1 (row 1 to 20, collum 1 to 14), Item 2 (row 20 to 40, collum 1 to 14), etc. If there is a mod that numbers each item or something that is easier . Your challenges are so entertaining and fun to watch :) ❤❤
I recently disabled all my packs and mods just to take it back to basics and Ive legit been having so much fun! If any of y’all are going through sims burnout like I was, this is a fun little thing to do if you want to switch it up! I’m currently playing a sim who is trying to be a star musician and is dating Mitchell Kalani lol

Challenge idea: build a house with no walls to divide rooms
Simmsie will always place the living room next to the kitchen, instead of the dining area next to the kitchen. it's a quirk i stand for.
