I’m willing to bet this challenge is possible by one human actually using four controllers at once. I mean, I think it’d be incredibly difficult but I do believe it’s possible
It definitely is. While chaining is already difficult for one character, the real difficulty comes from swapping to another character to start a new chain. The brain power to remember which controller belongs to which character while reacting to when you'd actually need to switch, all while holding run and to the right would be absolutely insane.
4:25 - "...Increasing the maximum number of players I could control at a single time from two, all the way up to the console's maximum of four." The Switch standard controller management page undersells it. The system can actually handle 8 simultaneous controllers, which is how you get 6 players in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, or 8 in Bomberman R.
Kinda poetic how the double cherry was conceived from a programming mistake when they were making SM3DW and how your whole "2 players, 1 controller" idea was ALSO conceived by a programming mistake. Anyways, awesome job with the vid man. Keep up the amazing content!!
