    Edward M Kennedy still gives me chills when he speaks....He is the greatest man I have ever known. This tribute speaks volumes of his character and his dedication to public service. We are all better off in Massachusetts that he was our beloved Senator....

    When all is said and done, out of all the Kennedy's, it was Senator Edward Kennedy that truly made the biggest difference in the lives of Americans. That was a lovely tribute.

    All of us fall short of the Glory of God and God is the Judge. I suspect that God in his infinite wisdom and mercy will weigh the good with the bad and I also suspect he did more good for so many and lived a life of service to others and redemption.

    This is powerful stuff. It's difficult for the GOP to match it at the moment because they have no grand leader like Reagan and their ideas are mostly "against" instead of for; even when they are right on principle it sounds mean spirited and most people in America are a lot more optimistic and willing to let others be.

    • @Dr_JSH
      @Dr_JSH 2 года назад

      Nine years later, same but FAR worse.
      The GOP stands FOR nothing. They only stand AGAINST and stand IN THE WAY OF.

    • @Ocean_Jack
      @Ocean_Jack 2 года назад

      @@Dr_JSH Sorry but I was completely deluded by the mainstream media and had no idea of how enormously corrupt and morally compromised Kennedy was. The media portrayed conservatives as being against and that is all I saw. I strongly urge everyone to take a very careful look at conservative and liberal principles so that you can avoid being misinformed for years as I was. Thomas Sowell's "The Vision of the Annointed" (full audiobook is available on RUclips) is a life changing place to start.

    Ted) Kennedy drove a 1967 Olds 88 into the frigid waters of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts after leaving a party on the night of July 18, 1969. Also in the car was Mary Jo Kopechne, a former Secratary of Kennedy's brother, Robert. While Edward managed to escape, his passenger was not as fortunate. Teddy, The "Hero of Chappaquiddick" fled the scene and did not report the accident to police until TEN HOURS LATER. Kopechne's body was discovered trapped inside the car the next morning.

    @gekkobear2 There is no way anyone can defend what he did that night. Bottom line is he could have saved her and he didn't. With that said he had to live with his actions for the rest of his life and he did. That incident is what kept him for being president, but no one can deny or over look all the good work he did for America. He was not perfect by any means but he left a legacy that we should all appreciate.

    This video made me realize that Romney really is an enigma. What does this guy actually stand for? What does he want? He mutates himself into whatever shape he thinks will get him elected, but it is very reticent to reveal his true agenda.
    I personally don't think I have seen a Presidential candidate in recent memory that was so opposed to revealing details about himself or his policies. What is Mitt in this for?
    He seems to have no passion. Ambition, yes. But for what? Money? Power?

    I can only call it as I see it, especially as I am not an American and I realise my opinions may not be well received by the left or the right, but without a doubt, Ted was the best of the Kennedys. I realise it is only speculation because of Bobbie and Jack were cut off in there prime. But I honestly think he was the most honest, capable and driven of the family. Just an opinion but I'm sure I'll catch a few flames.

    Romney didn't get to where he is alone. I don't think he ever denied that. However, Romney didn't get there because the government allowed him to succeed, which is what Obama claimed with his "you didn't build that" remark. I don't think any business owner ever would claim that they got there without the help of their employees.

    I wonder if he would have gotten elected in '62 if he actually debated George C Lodge. Ted Kennedy was very young; he didn't get his brother's Senate seat in '60 because he wasn't old enough. I bet he would have not done well in a debate with Lodge. Kennedy was barely out of school. Lodge had already had experience being a member of two presidential administrations.

    Go read "Senatorial Privilege". He didn't just have a traffic accident. He was negligent and then corruptly used his power from being a Senator ( a life long senator who didn't know when to quit, I might add) from being prosecuted or held in any way responsible for his horrible actions. He went on to be a giant hypocrite and enact all kinds of legislation which had horrible unintended consequences. He was the definition of a corrupt politician.

    Edward Kennedy should be in no position to be smiling, scriptural testament asserts, those who remain silent, in the face of a moral imperative to speak up, are destined for Hell.
    Where smiles are reserved for the devils and demons, whose role is to torment, and to maintain a level of suffering, commensurate with the deeds and omissions, of the residents therein!
