Trump just happened to be a close second. I can guarantee you that if the candidate going against Trump in 2020 doesn't have a name that rhymes with "Millary Minton," that candidate will win in a landslide.
Also, in case you were forgetting, there were over 3 million votes more for Hillary, millions of third party votes, and many people that decided not to vote since they hated both of the candidates. That's pure fact.

The mainstream news channels (including Fox News now) are paid very well to brainwash as many people as possible to think Trump is joke. It failed last year, and it'll fail again in 2020. The truth is, his support grows by the day, but they will hide that from you. Secondly, I cannot believe that some people still have to lean on the "but but Hillary won the popular vote". Well guess what, Hillary is an idiot for campaigning for a popular vote that doesn't secure the presidency. Trump's campaign did everything right and campaigned to win the electoral college via swing states. Had Trump himself never said those key inflammatory statements that offended so many people, he would have won the popular vote too. The thing that really cracks me up, is that after almost a year, Hillary is still blaming as many other people as possible for HER utter failure.
