Guess who did? Clinton & guess what? Clinton did actually go on to balance the budget & produced surplus budget in his last 3 yrs of presidency 1998-00. Because America was relatively healthy in 1992, but now that we're suffering the effects of late-stage Capitalism, and because BOTH parties are Capitalist, they cannot attack anything but each other.
      But make no mistake that the groundwork was set during this era with the fall of the Soviet Union.

    • @redmanlaw0002
      @redmanlaw0002 5 месяцев назад +1

      Because Obama and the Democrats turned politics into a race war where only identity politics mattered and all their followers knew nothing of the actual issues and policies. If politics were only a popularity contest before, Obama turned it up to the next level. Then Trump came along after Obama and called out the lies and corruption of the corrupt political establishment and destroyed the Democrat's dream of Hillary and a Socialist takeover while offering actual solutions to real problems and inspired half the people in America to stand up against the corrupt elites taking advantage of them. In order to do that, Trump insulted and bullied his way to the top, which sells way more tickets and gets way more views than the typical boring debate that most people wouldn't even understand or care about, and also created more enemies than anyone in American political history. When Trump had the chance to set things right and drain the swamp, he had to spend his time defending himself from that swamp instead as they attacked him more than anyone in history and treated him more unfairly than any President of all time. Now both sides see the only way to win is to sling more mud on the other side while keeping the full truth from the public so they will continue to vote like the sheep they are. Now that Biden is brain dead, Trump will get another chance and actually have the experience and backing to get more things done this time, while the Democrats have to pick up the pieces of their failed administration and their lies to the public for so many years. Civil debates are a thing of the past, because they don't sell in modern media, and winning is all about getting the clicks, views and the headlines, so the masses of idiots will take a peak once in a while and be easily manipulated by either side. Trump's style wins in the new game with new media platforms taking over and the younger generations caring more about memes and short clips they can laugh at rather than ever learning about actual policy. Older people focus more on actual policy, but are generally too old or too busy to learn what is really going on for themselves and too ignorant to figure out how to use modern media sources to find all the real information and unbiased facts to make the best decision. Instead they mostly watch Fake News mainstream media a few minutes a day and are brainwashed like sheep. A boring debate won't get the views anymore. You have to sell it like a Championship fight or the Superbowl to get people to watch at all. Thank Obama and his buddies for turning politics into a race war and a culture war instead of a logical debate on policy.

      He unfortunately didn't have a chance to get elected. He was up against two established political parties, with deep pockets. He was running with the Reform Party. 3rd party candidates can only go so far, but end up failing because we have a two party political system. Special political interests went after Perot, to dig up some dirt on him. They found it, and it stopped him campaign dead in it's tracks, so Perot bailed out. I think though at the time, the Reform Party had some good ideas to reform, and improve our government, but there's too much of a political swamp that's deeply established, even back in '92.

  • @SatchelMcQueenVideo
    @SatchelMcQueenVideo 4 месяца назад +10

    The real reason they won’t allow a 3rd on stage is because Ross Perot almost won and exposed both parties.
    After this debate The Women’s League of Voters (who ran the debates for many years) decided to pull out because they got huge pressure put on them to not allow Perot to debate. Many other issues as well from both parties.
    When they pulled out, the Rebubs and Dems decided together they would from that point forward run the debates. They also made a rule saying that if you didn’t identify as a Repub or Dem and a member of said party, then you could NOT debate. This is why Ron Paul ran as Repub in 07-08 and 11-12. Otherwise he couldn’t be on stage.
    So Perot really messed up the rigged system and almost won and neither party or the elites liked it. This is also why they hate Trump.
    Makes even more sense as to why Trump has went through all the stuff they throw at him, even being almost assasinated.
    This was imo the last legit debate with Perot on stage. As a young 17 yr old, I knew little about politics, but I saw the absolute disrespect they all had for Perot. He made sense even to my young self and I got angry seeing the media and even a cool to me at the time, Bill Clinton laugh at him. He was a self made billionaire and I thought that was respectful. He worked for that. Little did I know a seed was planted for me and many other people during this debate. We saw a little bit of the systems corruption to truth and America first thinking.
    After that I went in deep with Ron Paul in 07. I saw them all laugh at him too yet he made perfect sense.
    Then they did the exact same to Trump in 15. The difference was Trump said F all your BS. I’m exposing you. And here we are.

    • @JoeTecmo

      While you're quite accurate about Perot, you're completely off the mark about the Trump comparisons. Perot was was 1 of 1. Trump has been a political chameleon from being friendly with the Clintons to Jesse Ventura. The 2010s wasn't Trump's first rodeo in the the political world by far. Ross Perot is the one and only OG. Trump would've flopped in this debate in his final form today and likely his age back then, too considering he's the same age as Bill Clinton.

I felt the same way about then Governor Clinton and I voted for him, twice. I'm proud of that vote because he was a strong, smart, likeable and confident leader. I think he's the only modern-day president, aside from Biden, who truly enjoyed being president. He managed to leave the country with a surplus, create the student loan program, banned assault weapons through The Crime Bill and got the discussion about having an affordable health care system going. He was also friends with Tony Blair and Boris Yeslin, and he never bowed to Russia. He also wasn't fond of Putin or Netanyahu with good reason. As you said he was a bit cocky but, he had the goods to back it up, unlike Trump.

    Not a Clinton fan at all. But....
    Bills debate was brilliant though. He used Perot as battering ram against Bush. "Perot is better than you on every issue. I am a far better candidate than Perot"

    Perot was the last third party speaker? What’s crazy is both presidents agreed with an independent. I’m telling yall. Even today, third parties deserve to debate still. 2 is not enough anymore

    Trump need to come here an listen and learn how to communicate his ideas without acrimony..He sometimes turns allies into adversaries.He has the best policies he needs to tone down the rhetorics that works against him .

      Trump's communication style often undermines his policies. His frequent use of acrimony and divisive rhetoric turns potential allies into adversaries. Effective leadership requires not just good policies but also the ability to communicate them constructively and unify people. His inability to do so highlights his unfitness for the presidency.

    Thank you very much for sharing this debate. Much wanted in 1992 to be able to see and listen.
    It is a pleasant feeling to see and listen bit late, but with the same entudiasm, after 32years, in 2024!

      Trump was not brain dead. The world was better when he was president. No russian-ukraine war, not a single hamas-Israel war. Economy was stronger, illegal immigrants were less and crimes are lower.

    Ross Perot would have been an excellent president. 🙋🙋🙏🙏He genuinely seemed like he really wanted to fix things. Honestly it just seems like he didn't have a hidden agenda..

      The answer is simple. Because we allow them to get away with it and don’t demand higher standards. And ppl don’t care about facts or truth anymore. They just want to get what they want.

    I am not an American, but watching this debate, I can say that there is a big difference between election debates in the past and debates now. Presidential debates were based on real issues of people, but now candidates debates revolve around personal insults which is beside the point. It’s so sad to have come to this world we live in now .
