Some people insist on inserting an "i" - when they say diopter it becomes diopiter. Others actually say it BOTH ways. Of course the other day I called dreadlocks dreadnaughts. This is much more ridiculous. At any rate, Jake knows a diopter from a diopiter, at least when the wind is southerly.

Great videos, Jake! Everyone needs to see these. I've met too many people who look at eye doctors and the glasses they "prescribe" as if they were decrees handed down from God. It's like they believe deviating even the slightest bit from medical advice could lead to severe, unfixable issues.
The eyeball is not a delicate piece of equipment that requires constant medical attention to maintain. We just need to learn how to take care of our vision like we learned how to take care of other parts of our bodies.
Thanks for all you have done to move this knowledge forward. You have helped many improve their vision and many others avoid problems in the first place.

For high myope, people could use a 1.5 lower diopter (than full prescription) get the edge of blur in the range where the error is low e.g., 60 - 70 cm. Anyway, people eventually will figure it out if they want to.

@@chowtuk this wont be enough. Minus lenses stimulate very strong and fast if you look with full prescription on close up screens. You need plus glasses to compensate that or dont use close up screens at all but even a life is not possible without close up work like eating. You are at risk all the time, thats why it is not a longterm solution of the problem. But I can understand that -12 is a lot and you dont want to improve for a decade. But who knows maybe you could drop some diopters already when getting rid of muscle spasm. Anyway quick solutions are not solutions but mistakes for me.

Hey Jake i've a question does wearing differentials glasses alone during screen time will improve my eyesight ?
because if hyperopic defocus stimulate the eye to elongate
so if i wear differentials glasses i'm in the state of myopic defocus so will the eye will shorten ?
because it's just the opposite way.

I glad to connect with you and I appreciate your work
I would like to convey my opinion on applying saliva to eyes when you woke up hope you aware this one
Your are the right person to think this one I will explain my understanding
When ever there is problem in eye sight 👀 it always notify to our brain 🧠 and brain will note down the issue and it will try to correct the problem . I hope the same approach you suggested to reduce the power of eye glasses so some sort of blurred vision noted in brain.
Now will see how saliva works
As we know our brain can make some many chemical that it requires to our body daily and it releases when there is demand
Some of the enzyme will release to our body via saliva like that the medicine which requires to cure eye sight will release in saliva and if we applied daily we could see change in eye sight.
I think I conveyed my message I know it's not clearly I explained but I would like you to think on this please consider and do some study I will also do from my end
I hope you believe our body can slove the proble
    Thanks and Regards,
    A.Sasikanth
