There was for sure enough speed difference. You can spot that by the distance before the 1st yellow flag, or the constant amount of lift I have to do not to come too close. There was just not a safe opportunity to overtake. I tried that at eiskurve where I had space to get side by side, but it almost ended badly.

If…is not the question. You can pass someone at Eiskurve, as he tried, if someone lets you and your are faster of course. But let’s cut it here. Nice to Watch & Thanks for uploading
Out of the gate the 052 will be faster. It will also have a much sharper drop off. 1 Nürburgring lap full tilt and they need to cool down. The ad09 needs a bit of heat, peak performance is lower than 052, but will last and last and last. Never felt the tire drop off. The 052 went from new, to almost zero on 30 laps. The ad09 did 30 laps already and are perhaps in the middle of their life cycle.
First of all you are a good driver, can tell you must have done many laps with this Yaris GR on the ring, the confidence shows. However don't forget it's still just touristenfahrten. The i30N Taxi could have let you pass maybe but his pace was not that much slower to the point it should annoy you. Why not just enjoy following him instead of applying so much pressure and provoke to race ? The i30N Taxi probably has passenger(s) he wanted to entertain a bit (hence the intended lift off oversteer etc). I'm not 100% defending the i30N driver.. If he saw you applying so much pressure he could have let you pass at some point. I'm just saying applying pressure as if you're trying to set some record seemed a bit unnecessary. I'm sure your passenger enjoyed the ride either way! Don't take this as an offense, just my pov
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, would not take it badly at all. For sure it's TF and driving 7/10th, and living some distance to the Taxi - you can spot that by the constant amount of lift I don't getting out of the corners, and the slow corner entry speeds to give some margin to avoid any danger. It's clear that the N taxi driver is clearly provoking liftoff oversteer to entertain the passengers. I enjoyed some of the lap behind it. After the carousel I wanted to get by, signaled that with the blinker and try to make sure I was seen and let by. Unfortunately that didn't happen, and this is where I believe track etiquette could have been better. I was substantially faster, so I would not have spoiled any fun for the taxi passengers. Quick lift from the taxi driver, allow for a safe overtake, and I would be off to have my fun. In my view, I go to TF to have fun. I don't feel entitled to go there and spoil someone else's fun by deliberately making it hard for faster cars to overtake me, and I at some point expect others to do the same. For example in this lap you can clearly see me going on the brakes early to allow the BMW driver to pass safely since they were not catching me on the straight as much as I expected.
I'm terribly sorry but this is simply stupid. You are the second person here who wrote this. So, let's clarify that. IF I participate in a public session, then I can't overtake a single person and I'm just here to enjoy the view or something? This is a R-A-C-E T-R-A-C-K, where even in public sessions we have no speed limits, you can push your car, overtake slower cars on the left and NOT ALLOWED TO RACE anyone for safety reasons, which this video perfectly demonstrated. The N driver started a race with that stupid LAST SECOND move, which is PROHIBITED in that circumstance. 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ Let me ask you a question. IF I decide to visit the ring with only a very limited 1 year driving experience, and I can not solve a situation like this as the Yaris driver did, then what would be the outcome? Best case is a huge crash, a worse one is serious injury for multiple people, worst case 1 or more deaths. I think we can all agree that NOBODY wants this...
@@fizzypop8999 you overtake on the left, yaris was correct lol, plus that taxi guy was just trying to show off or something while losing tons of time, on the start of the lap yaris was always gaining distance from him and he still overtook him after yellow flag knowing that yaris was faster, stupid driver thats all

In my opinion the Taxi driver wasn’t 100% at fault here. You drove right behind him for a big part of the lap, there were a lot of moments that you could have overtook him. I also never saw you indicating to the N Taxi to let him know you want to pass. Understand that people follow these ringtaxi’s for fun quite often, those people don’t have the intention to overtake the taxi but just to follow it for fun. I can very well understand that the N taxi driver might have thought that you just wanted to follow him and he probably didn’t expect you to suddenly try to overtake at brunnchen. For the rest.. keep up the laps, enjoy watching them.
Hey! The only moment where I deemed safe to overtake was Eiskurve, and that was about to not go so well. Everywhere else there was no space.
